Rabbi Tuly Weisz—Passover Miracles? You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet!:

While we all love and enjoy Passover, Jewish tradition says something surprising about the future of this beloved holiday. According to one opinion in the Talmud, at the end of times, we are not even going to talk about the Exodus from Egypt anymore because those miracles will be entirely overshadowed by what God has in store for us. Blood, frogs, lice… that’s nothing compared to what the Almighty has planned for the future redemption of the Jewish people. How could there be any miracles greater than the 10 plagues?! How could anything top the splitting of the sea?! The answer lies in a close reading of Jeremiah 23:

’Behold, days are coming’, says the Lord, ‘when they will no longer say, ‘As God lives, who brought the Jews out of the Egypt,’ but, ‘as God lives, who raised and returned the Jews from the northern lands and from every country into which I had driven them, and they will dwell on their own Land.’

What will make the future redemption even greater than our Exodus from Egypt is that it will be accompanied by the greatest biblical miracle ever imagined: the In-gathering of the Exiles.

SnyderTalk Comment: If you haven’t read Jeremiah 23 lately, you should take a moment and read the entire chapter.  If you do, please pay particular attention to verses 5 and 6:

5 “Behold, the days are coming,” declares Yahweh, “when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch; and He will reign as king and act wisely and do justice and righteousness in the land. 6 In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely; and this is His name by which He will be called, ‘Yahweh our righteousness.’”

In other words, the Messiah’s Name is Yahweh.  He is the righteous Branch of David.  When Yahweh returns, the hearts and minds of believers will focus on Him and the fulfillment of His promise to restore and reunite Israel. That will be a happy day.

Itamar Sharon: IDF troops comb Palestinian village for Hebron killers—Israeli security forces were searching extensively Tuesday for the perpetrators of a terrorist attack on Passover eve Monday near the West Bank Tarqumiyah crossing, in which a 40-year-old Israeli was shot dead and his pregnant wife and son were injured on their way to a holiday Seder in Hebron. Searches were focused on the nearby Palestinian village of Idhna, from which officials believed the gunman or gunmen originated, Channel 10 reported.

Dov Lipman: A moment of truth for Haredi leaders—The Haredi political leadership has built its power base on the mantra of “secular Israel hates us.” They repeat this regularly from the Knesset floor and in committee hearings on a daily basis. The Haredi media provides the platform for Haredi MK’s to share this message with the broader Haredi community and the Haredi broadcasters mimic this divisive tone on an hourly basis. And, just like that, in a flash, this message has been proven to be false. False, and terribly damaging. The Haredi newspaper, Mishpacha, sponsored a poll to determine the attitudes of secular Israelis towards Haredim. They hired one of Israel’s top pollsters, Mina Tzemach, to do the research. Here are some of the results.

Jennifer Rubin: Is Iran about to Violate the Interim Deal?—Vladimir Putin is edging toward a deal with Iran that would make a mockery of the P5+1 interim agreement with Iran. News reports confirm that “Russia could exchange nonmonetary goods for up to 500,000 barrels of Iranian petroleum each day under the possible arrangement, which may ultimately pave the way for as much as $20 billion in trade.” The State Department acknowledges that the deal would violate the interim deal. The recent reports prompted Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.), chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and Sen. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) to write to President Obama, telling him, “If Iran moves forward with this effort to evade U.S. sanctions and violate the terms of oil sanctions relief provided for in JPA [the interim agreement with Iran], the United States should respond by re-instating the crude oil sanctions, rigorously enforcing significant reductions in global purchases of Iranian crude oil, and sanctioning any violations to the fullest extent of the law.”

Reuel Marc Gerecht: Scare Tehran, Please—Participants in the Vienna nuclear talks have described the proceedings so far as a take-and-give exchange, where the Iranian negotiating team grimaces and the Americans back off. The Obama administration hasn’t yet wanted to push, for example, on an inspections regime that would allow the IAEA to visit undeclared Revolutionary Guard sites that may house nuclear-weapons-related research. Since the guards oversee the entire atomic program, a rational person might conclude that a nuclear deal denying the IAEA spot inspections at Revolutionary Guard facilities is defective.

Joseph Puder: The Predictable Failure of Kerry’s “Peace” Mission— In August, 2013, this writer had a column in Front Page Magazine titled Why Kerry’s Mideast Peace Is Doomed. Less than a year later, it appears as if the aimless “peace” talks between Israel and the Palestinians, with Secretary of State John Kerry and Martin Indyk, the U.S Special Envoy for Israeli-Palestinian Negotiations, serving as chaperones, are over and done with. John Kerry, however, cannot bring himself to say enough. He is determined to succeed where so many others have failed. And, like his boss, President Barack Obama, he wants to add a Nobel Prize to his name. The predictable failure of the “talks” is rooted in the Palestinians inability to resign to and accept the reality of a Jewish State. Mahmoud Abbas, (as Yasser Arafat before him), is unable to forgo his shared ideological commitment to the revolutionary past, and the “armed struggle,” aimed at liberating Palestine from the Jews.

Robert Spencer: One Year Anniversary of Boston Bombing: A Lesson in FBI Failure— With the first anniversary of the Boston Marathon jihad bombings now here (April 15),  the New York Times made yet another attempt to exonerate the Obama Administration of responsibility for one of its manifest failures, claiming that an inspector general’s report on the bombings was an “exoneration of the F.B.I.,” as it showed that “the Russian government declined to provide the F.B.I. with information about one of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects that would most likely have led to more extensive scrutiny of him at least two years before the attack.”

SnyderTalk Comment: Of all the things that happened during the days following the horrific bombing in Boston last year, the thing that I remember most is the Governor of Massachusetts calling for a lock-down.  The whole state was ordered (it didn’t seem like a request to me) to go home and lock themselves inside because a 16-year-old punk kid was on the loose with a pistol.

I couldn’t believe it.  In a state where the mere possession of a pistol can land you in prison for 18 months, a lunatic juvenile was able to obtain one plus bomb-making supplies and cause mayhem during the Boston Marathon.  And the best that the state’s governor could do was to tell the people of his state to run and hide behind locked doors.

The governor should have been ashamed and the people of Massachusetts should have been ashamed of him and of themselves, because they foolishly disarmed themselves.  They should have learned an important lesson: criminals and lunatics can put their hands on weapons of all sorts any time they want and they don’t give a damn about the law.  Law-abiding citizens are the only ones who are hurt by foolish gun control laws.

In the aftermath of the bombing, the phrase “B Strong” started appearing everywhere.  I can appreciate why they would want to use that phrase, but I couldn’t help thinking that there was a more appropriate phrase, one that they should have used: “Don’t B Stupid”.

Peter Huessy: US: The Era of Nuclear Neglect— On March 24, 2014 the Energy Department’s Inspector General [IG] determined that many of our nuclear laboratories had not been archiving with care designs used in the manufacture of nuclear weapons. According to Inspector General Gregory Friedman, “Over the decades of nuclear weapons development, neither NNSA nor its sites treated the maintenance of original nuclear weapons… information as a priority. The IG also concluded that the Energy Department leadership concurred with its findings and had taken effective steps to remedy the problems identified. Problem solved, right? Unfortunately not.

Arnold Ahlert: The EPA’s Science Problem— In a stunning admission, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Gina McCarthy revealed to House Science, Space and Technology Committee chairman Lamar Smith (R-TX) that the agency neither possesses, nor can produce, all of the scientific data used to justify the rules and regulations they have imposed on Americans via the Clean Air Act. In short, science has been trumped by the radical environmentalist agenda.

Jay Haug: The American Left is Positively Putinesque—Vladimir Putin’s tactics in both Crimea and now Eastern Ukraine seem transparent to the western media. Using tactics designed to “protect” its citizens, Russia annexed Crimea. Georgia fell to a similar fate when George Bush was president. Now “protests” are being fomented in eastern Ukraine while troops mass at the border. The Russians advertise this as “defensive measures.” Hitler used similar tactics when he invaded the ethnically German Sudetenland in the lead-up to World War II. In Putin’s case, the tactics involve trumped up protests by Russian loyalists apparently shipped in to protest for this very purpose, troops massed at the borders, media blackouts and in Crimea’s case, ultimately an invasion. There are lots of outcries for America to do something.

Soeren Kern: US Government Promoting Islam in Czech Republic—The Czech government has approved a new project aimed at promoting Islam in public elementary and secondary schools across the country. The project—Muslims in the Eyes of Czech Schoolchildren—is being spearheaded by a Muslim advocacy group and is being financed by American taxpayers through a grant from the US Embassy in Prague. (The US State Department is also promoting Islam in other European countries.) The group says the Czech Ministry of Education has authorized it to organize lectures and seminars aimed at “teaching Czech schoolchildren about Islamic beliefs and practices” and at “fighting stereotypes and prejudices about Muslims.” But critics—there are many—say the project’s underlying objective is to convert non-Muslim children to Islam by bringing proselytizing messages into public schools under the guise of promoting multiculturalism and fighting “Islamophobia.”

SnyderTalk Comment: Our government has made so many mistakes during the past 6 years that it is scary.  Promoting Islam around the world is a big problem, not because most Muslims are radical Islamists which they are not.

Most Muslims are as committed to their religion as most Christians are to theirs.  The problem with promoting Islam stems from the fact that radical Islamists are the most vocal, involved, and dedicated Muslims of all.  Even though they represent a minority of the Muslim population, they are a large enough minority to do an awful lot of damage.

The facts speak volumes.  Radical Islamists are a serious threat in any country on the face of the planet where a sizable Muslim population exists.  Since radical Islamists are committed to recruiting followers, propaganda, indoctrination, and Israel’s annihilation, they are a clear and present danger to Yahweh’s chosen people and to our only reliable ally in the Middle East.

Believers need to keep that in mind.  You can be certain that Yahweh does.

4--Scripture of the Day Yahweh

Genesis 1: 26-31

26 Then God [Elohim] said, “Let Us [This is plural as the word “Elohim” suggests because Elohim is a plural word.] make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” 29 Then God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you; 30 and to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the sky and to every thing that moves on the earth which has life, I have given every green plant for food”; and it was so. 31 God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
