Alex Fishman— U.S. Foreign Policy Detached from Reality:

Iran’s status as a nuclear threshold state is expected to be internationally recognized on Sunday or Monday. This is a pivotal historical event which will affect the conduct of each and every country in the Middle East from now on.

I doubt anyone will remember US President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry – who led this move – in two years from now, but the legacy of ruins they left behind in every corner they touched in the Middle East will remain with us for many years to come.

The United Nations Security Council secretariat has already received a draft resolution cancelling all the sanctions imposed on Iran in the past decade, excluding those related to the proliferation of conventional and nuclear weapons. The United States is thereby giving Iran a status similar to that of developed countries like Japan. Just a minor difference.

There is no wonder that Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon and Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot have instructed the defense establishment and IDF to prepare for a situation in which Iran officially enters the domain allowing it to be a nuclear threshold state, which has broken free from the chains of most sanctions. This means that Iran, after all the bans are gradually removed, will continue its subversive activity in the Middle East unhindered.

SnyderTalk Comment: The title to this article is appropriate: “U.S. Foreign Policy Detached from Reality”.  That’s exactly what U.S. foreign policy under Obama is.

Right now, every nation in the Middle East is in great danger thanks to our president.

As Alex Fishman said, a few years from now few people will remember who created this mess.  Instead, they will be focusing on dealing with the aftermath of the Iran deal.  That may be true, but the person who did it is still important, especially to Yahweh.

Obama let the genie out of the bottle.  Putting him back in will take some doing.  It’s true that the genie was destined to get out of the bottle anyway, but woe to the men and women who let him out.

Depending on the “expert” or “experts” that you pay attention to, Iran is just days, weeks, or at most months away from having enough fissile material to manufacture nuclear weapons.  Fitting nukes for use atop their missiles is not difficult and won’t take long.

That’s why Saudi Arabia and Egypt are ramping up their nuclear efforts; that’s why Prime Minister Netanyahu is warning world leaders about the likelihood of a tidal shift in Middle Eastern politics; and that’s why informed people are beginning to prepare for the increasingly likely possibility of nuclear war.

Iranian leaders have been clear about their plans.  Israel and Sunni Muslim countries are their first targets.  Sunni Muslims are under attack already.  Israel is next.  Western Europe is in danger, and so is the U.S.

See the articles below:

There should be no doubt in anyone’s mind that the U.S. more than any other nation is responsible for the Iran deal and its consequences.  For that matter, there should be no doubt among believers that the U.S. will be held accountable.

Unbelievers reject the notion that Yahweh is actively involved in global events and that He is moving toward fulfilling His promises to and about the Promised Land and the Children of Israel.  That’s understandable because they think that Yahweh doesn’t exist.

Believers have no choice.  They are duty bound to stand with Yahweh.

As the Messiah said, you can tell a tree by its fruit.  If you don’t stand with Yahweh, you stand against Him.  Fence sitting is a figment of human imaginations.

As the poet/philosopher/songwriter/singer Bob Dylan said, “You’re gonna have to serve somebody, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord, but you’re gonna have to serve somebody.”

Yahweh’s arsenal is vast and impressive.  He controls the weather, for example.

Yahweh can bring a nation to its knees by simply withholding rain.  The people of California can tell you how important that is.  See “California Drought: Farmers Faced With Whether to Grow Crops or Sell Water”.

Residents of California probably more than the residents of any other state in the U.S. mock Yahweh.  They think that they are doing it with impunity, but they are wrong.

Imagine the entire U.S. experiencing severe drought.  The effects would be devastating, and that’s just one of the many things that Yahweh can do.

I believe that the U.S. is in for a big surprise.  Here’s why: at the spiritual level, the Iran deal is about preventing Yahweh from fulfilling His promises.  Yahweh wasn’t part of the negotiations, but still, He was central to the discussion.  In essence, the Iran deal is a deal with the devil.

To unbelievers, that’s nonsense.  To believers, it’s a fact.  Regrettably, too few people see or even care about the spiritual dimension.  It’s not even on Barack Obama’s radar screen.

Obama is president, and he has taken sides against Yahweh.  Somebody has got to pay.  Since we elected Obama twice, we are guilty.  I believe that we will have to pay.

We live in a world where most people think that reality is what a majority of people say it is, but reality is not dependent on people’s opinions.  Reality is what it is.

In Matthew 7, the Messiah said,

24 Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. 26 Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell—and great was its fall.”

We need to examine ourselves carefully.  Now is the time to make sure that we have built our houses on the Rock.  He is the ultimate reality.

Wills Robinson: Benjamin Netanyahu calls Iran nuclear deal a threat to Israel’s survival—Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has slammed the Iran nuclear deal, claiming it threatens the Jewish state and puts his people in mortal danger. After speaking to President Barack Obama on the phone, he said in a televised statement just hours after the agreement was signed on Thursday: ‘A deal based on this framework would threaten the survival of Israel.’ He added: ‘Such a deal would not block Iran’s path to the bomb. It would pave it.’

William S. Cohen: President Obama Has Put Republicans and Our Allies in a Box— Neither Congress, Israel, nor our Gulf allies can afford to be seen as killing the deal. With President Obama’s announcement that America and its allies had “reached a historic understanding with Iran” on its nuclear weapons program, the debate has now begun: Does the president’s nuclear deal represent promise or peril? Is it President Obama’s legacy, or simply an illusion? For the answer, we need to look at both the substance and the optics of the proposed agreement.

SnyderTalk Comment: Rational people, and by that I mean believers, are boxed in, but that doesn’t mean we can’t tell the truth.  The people who are supposed to understand will understand.  Others won’t.  Read about Sodom and Gomorrah.

Gallia Lindenstrauss and Yoel Guzansky: Trying to Square the Circle: Can Saudi Arabia Form a United Sunni Front?— The attempt to establish a Sunni pact against the background of the challenges created by the turmoil in the Arab world and the strengthening of Iran’s power in the region is not new. Moreover, Turkey and Saudi Arabia do not have a tradition of good relations in order to forge stronger relations at the current time. There have been some periods in which their relationship has been closer, such as the period between 2005 and the first signs of turmoil in the Arab world, but these were exceptions, not the norm. However, because Riyadh sees the Iranian threat as real and increasing in strength, the kingdom now understands that it may be worthwhile to swallow the bitter pill that is the Muslim Brotherhood, if only for the purpose of building up an anti-Iranian Sunni alliance. The challenge for Saudi Arabia will therefore be to bring Egypt – which views the Brotherhood as a serious threat to its internal stability – to cooperate with forces identified with the Brotherhood, with Turkey being the primary one of these forces.

Laurence Norman: In Iran Talks, Frayed Nerves, Brinkmanship, All-Nighters, Then a Deal—As the first hints of dawn broke Thursday in this Swiss lakeside town, there were strained nerves in the plush salons of the luxury Beau Rivage Palais hotel, where senior diplomats from Iran, the U.S. and Washington’s negotiating partners were trying to seal a deal on Tehran’s nuclear program. Negotiators, including U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, U.S. Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz, Iran’s Foreign Minister Javad Zarif and top European Union official Helga Schmid, had stayed up through the night grappling with stubborn issues. A main sticking point: limits on Tehran’s nuclear research under an agreement. After a week of round-the-clock meetings, the talks had run far past Tuesday night’s deadline. Despite a spectacular view of Lake Geneva and the snow-capped Alps beyond, the mood was volatile.  Also see “Food on floor, catnaps as diplomats sealed Iran nuclear deal”.

Cathy Burke: Rift Opens Between Jewish Voters and Democrats Over Israel— A longstanding alliance between Jewish voters and the Democratic Party no longer appears very durable. The rift — aggravated by a nuclear deal with Iran and sour relations between President Barack Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu — will likely have political implications in the 2016 elections, The Wall Street Journal reports. “At this moment in time, many American Jews who have consistently voted Democratic are beginning to waver in that support, because they’ve felt the bedrock relationship between Israel and this administration has been severely shaken,” Rabbi Howard Buechler, of the Dix Hills Jewish Center in New York, told the Journal.

Yoel Guzansky and Ephraim Kam: The Struggle in Yemen: A Test for the Arab Collective— It has been a long time since Arab countries managed to unite for the sake of taking substantive action, especially military, in order to defend their own interests. However, Iran’s efforts to penetrate various arenas and expand its influence throughout the region are an ominous threat to at least some Arab states. Therefore, one can already speak of a collective Arab achievement in light of the Arab nations’ ability to come together to deal with the inherent threat of increased Iranian influence in the region. • The Saudi-led collective move in Yemen entails a significant advantage for Israel. It focuses the world’s attention on Iran’s involvement in other nations in the Middle East and its growing influence in the region, and it demonstrates that the threat coming from Iran is not limited to its nuclear aspirations but is also manifested in its stark ambition to become the regional hegemon. It is thus not inconceivable that the move will help create shared interests between Israel and the member nations of the Saudi coalition.

Burak Bekdil: Erdogan Raising “Devout Generations”— For the Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a pious Sunni man is, by definition, a more decent man than any other. Therefore, he reasons, a pious Sunni youth is better than any other youth. In 2012, (then prime minister) Erdogan openly declared that his political ambition was “to raise devout generations.” The opposition protested that it was not a government’s mission to raise devout or non-devout generations; that in a secular country this choice belonged to parents, not to the government. In response, Erdogan said: “Should we, then, raise atheist generations?” He does not understand. He evidently will not. At an inauguration ceremony in March 2015, Erdogan proudly said that the number of “imam school” students had risen from a mere 60,000 to 1 million. That is wonderful news for Erdogan, himself a graduate of an “imam school.”

Lawrence A. Franklin: Who Are the Principal Violators of International Law?— There is an unspoken racist assumption that underlies the drive for a separate Palestinian Arab state: that no Jews should be allowed to live there. Presumably, this is why any land now resided on by Jews in the West Bank is called a “settlement.” The assumption is apparently that the entire area is an illegal colony.

Soeren Kern: British Home Secretary to Islamic Extremists: “The Game is Up”— “There is increasing evidence that a small but significant number of people living in Britain — almost all of whom are British citizens — reject our values. … It’s clear from these examples that extremism can take many forms. … They utterly reject British and Western values, including democracy, the rule of law, and equality between citizens, regardless of their gender, ethnicity, religion or sexuality. They believe that it’s impossible to be a good Muslim and a good British citizen. And they dismiss anybody who disagrees with them — including other Muslims — as ‘kafirs,’ or non-believers.” — Theresa May, British Home Secretary. “Intolerance, hatred and bigotry become normalized. Trust is replaced by fear, reciprocity by envy, and solidarity by division. … [I]f anybody else discriminated against women, denounced people on the basis of their religious beliefs, rejected the democratic process, attacked people on the basis of their sexuality, or gave a nod and a wink in favor of violence and terrorism, we wouldn’t hesitate to challenge them or — if the law was broken — call for their prosecution and punishment.” — Theresa May, British Home Secretary. Some Muslim groups say May’s comments amounted to “Islamophobia.” Manzoor Moghal, the chairman of the Muslim Forum, a think tank, told the BBC that May’s proposals would infringe on freedom of speech.

Rabbi Abraham Cooper: Where Is the Palestinian Sadat?—The continued terrorism and genocidal hate of Hamas and the celebration by leaders of the Palestinian Authority of terrorist murderers of Jews leaves many Israelis believing that Mahmoud Abbas has neither the inclination nor the ability to reach a final settlement. However much the U.S. administration and the EU want to push a quick peace deal, even a Herzog-led [Israeli government] coalition would need a Palestinian partner ready to tell his constituents in Arabic that their Jewish neighbors are there to stay and that they too have every right to be in the Holy Land. In other words, any “two-state solution” awaits a Palestinian Sadat. For now, none is on the horizon. The trial balloon floated about possible U.S. backing for a UN Security resolution that would force a shotgun marriage between Jerusalem and Ramallah is a non-starter. Such a move will only backfire, emboldening Hamas and Hizbullah to ramp up terror attacks against a Jewish state that may no longer have the U.S. in its corner. Israelis know that if and when a viable partner emerges from the Palestinian camp, any elected prime minister would rush to the table in a flash. If the Obama administration really wants to impact on Israelis, denouncing the democratic results decided upon by the Israeli electorate is not the way to go.

David K. Shipler: The Rise and Fall of the Palestinian State—In the past decade, Israeli Jewish support for a Palestinian state has usually hovered near 50%. But support drops off sharply as soon as the actual contours and characteristics of a Palestinian state are defined as Palestinians desire. For example, a strong majority of Israeli Jews oppose making east Jerusalem the capital of a Palestinian state: Since Oslo, only one-quarter to one-third have agreed to such an arrangement. Polls have shown both Israeli Jews and Palestinians seriously dissatisfied with a state defined in ways that the other side would accept. Israelis will not forget the suicide bombers sent by Palestinians into Israel during the second intifada, from 2000 to 2004, or the rockets from Hamas since Israel’s unilateral departure from Gaza in 2005. The Palestinians have given Netanyahu his credible argument that a state on the West Bank would become a Hamas-dominated threat. Who can deny that possibility?

Edith Honan: Kenya university death toll seen rising; anger over security failures—The death toll in an assault by Somali militants on a Kenyan university is likely to climb above 147, a government source and media said on Friday, as anger grew among local residents over what they say was a government failure to prevent bloodshed. Strapped with explosives, masked al Shabaab gunmen stormed the Garissa University College campus, some 200 km (120 miles) from the Somali border, in a pre-dawn rampage on Thursday. Tossing grenades and spraying bullets at cowering students, the attackers initially killed indiscriminately. But they later freed some Muslims and instead targeted Christian students during a siege that lasted about 15 hours. Anger over the massacre was compounded by the fact there were warnings last week that an attack on a university was imminent. Local residents accused the authorities of doing little to boost security in this little-developed region.

Robert Bridge: 5 ways Vladimir Putin is driving America crazy—Although Russian President Putin has worked to form a strong and lasting partnership with Washington – in fields as diverse as fighting terrorism and exploring outer space – the spirit of goodwill and bilateral relations has not been reciprocated. US-led NATO forces continue to push inexorably towards the Russian border, while plans are in progress to build a missile defense shield in Eastern Europe, which threatens the strategic balance in the region, thereby paving the way for another arms race. At the same time, the United States and its allies have launched a number of disastrous and illegitimate wars against sovereign states, while portraying Putin as the greatest threat to global peace. The question that must be asked is: What has the Russian leader done to attract this sort of vilification on the part of the US? The answers reveal much more about the current state of affairs in Washington than anything that could be described as threatening on Putin’s part. 5. Putin gave US a ‘Get out of War Free’ card.

Mike Sigov: Russians need to see Putin as a liar: U.S., its allies must expose Russian president’s propaganda—It’s been painful to watch Russia literally getting away with murder in Ukraine as the United States and its European allies limit themselves to economic sanctions, military exercises, and nonlethal help when weapon shipments are needed. The strongest weapon in possession of the war’s mastermind and perpetrator — Russian President Vladimir Putin — is anti-U.S. propaganda. Mr. Putin has successfully used the war to justify tightening his grip on power by blaming the United States for allegedly aiming to destroy Russia. The death toll in the nearly 12-month war surpassed 6,000 last month. To force him to call off his troops in Ukraine and then make him give up his spoilsport role elsewhere in the world — including places such as Syria, Iran, and North Korea — one must force him into a situation where he falls victim to his own propaganda.

SnyderTalk Comment: Russia is in the game.  Don’t discount the role that Russia will play in the days ahead.

4--Scripture of the Day Yahweh

Exodus 4: 21-23

21 Yahweh said to Moses, “When you go back to Egypt see that you perform before Pharaoh all the wonders which I have put in your power; but I will harden his heart so that he will not let the people go. 22 Then you shall say to Pharaoh, ‘Thus says Yahweh, “Israel is My son, My firstborn. 23 So I said to you, ‘Let My son go that he may serve Me’; but you have refused to let him go. Behold, I will kill your son, your firstborn.”’”

SnyderTalk Comment: Read His Name is Yahweh.

His Name is Yahweh explains why the Name of God, Yahweh, is so important.  It’s available in eBook format and in paperback.  It’s also available for free in PDF format.

  • God also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘Yahweh, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’ This [Yahweh] is my name forever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation.” (Exodus 3: 15)
  • “Therefore behold, I am going to make them know—this time I will make them know My power and My might; and they shall know that My name is Yahweh.” (Jeremiah 16: 21)
  • “Behold, the days are coming,” declares Yahweh, “when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch; and He will reign as king and act wisely and do justice and righteousness in the land. In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely; and this is His name by which He will be called, ‘Yahweh our righteousness.’” (Jeremiah 23: 5-6)

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
