Joseph Klein—Smoking Gun: The IRS’s Abuse of Obama’s Pro-Israel Enemies:

Barack Obama’s Internal Revenue Service is targeting certain Jewish advocacy groups which disagree with Obama’s anti-Israel positions on the so-called “disputed territories.” In a document entitled “Be On the Lookout” (or BOLO for short), which the IRS disclosed publicly on June 24th,  the tax enforcement agency instructed its agents reviewing applications for tax-exempt status  to be on the lookout for applications from organizations that “deal with disputed territories in the Middle East” and “may be inflammatory.”

A pattern has emerged with respect to the IRS’s special focus on groups that were outspoken in opposing President Obama’s demands that Israel freeze its construction of settlements over the pre-June 1967 boundary line between Israel and the West Bank and West and East Jerusalem, known as the “Green Line.”

One of the targeted groups, Z Street, filed a lawsuit against the IRS in August 2010, alleging that the IRS subjected the pro-Zionist group to additional scrutiny in a discriminatory fashion because of its strong pro-Israel ideological views.

4--Scripture of the Day

Hosea 4: 1-5

Listen to the word of Yahweh, O sons of Israel, for Yahweh has a case against the inhabitants of the land, because there is no faithfulness or kindness or knowledge of God in the land. There is swearing, deception, murder, stealing and adultery. They employ violence, so that bloodshed follows bloodshed. Therefore the land mourns, and everyone who lives in it languishes along with the beasts of the field and the birds of the sky, and also the fish of the sea disappear. Yet let no one find fault, and let none offer reproof; for your people are like those who contend with the priest. So you will stumble by day, and the prophet also will stumble with you by night; and I will destroy your mother.

His Name is Yahweh explains why the Name of God, Yahweh, is so important.  It’s available in eBook format and in paperback.  It’s also available for free in PDF format.

  • God also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘Yahweh, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’ This [Yahweh] is my name forever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation.” (Exodus 3: 15)
  • “Therefore behold, I am going to make them know—this time I will make them know My power and My might; and they shall know that My name is Yahweh.” (Jeremiah 16: 21)
  • “Behold, the days are coming,” declares Yahweh, “when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch; and He will reign as king and act wisely and do justice and righteousness in the land.  In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely; and this is His name by which He will be called, ‘Yahweh our righteousness.’” (Jeremiah 23: 5-6)
  • Yeshua said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.” (John 8: 58)

Arnold Ahlert:Obama Sends U.S. Troops to Prop Up MorsiIn yet another remarkable display of Obama’s determination to secure the Middle East for Islamofascists, 400 U.S. troops will reportedly be deployed to Egypt to augment the police force of Islamist President Mohamed Morsi. They will be part of a 13-country force stationed in Egypt in anticipation of protests, scheduled for June 30th, calling for the removal of Morsi. Curiously, whereas Obama readily threw former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak under the bus in 2011, the White House is now eager to defend the regime of Morsi, who, like his Muslim Brotherhood sponsors, is well on his way to imposing the Saudi Arabian model of governance on Egypt.

P. David Hornik: The Bleak Prospects for Europe’s Jews—A new report by Dr. Dov Maimon of the Jerusalem-based Jewish People Policy Planning Institute paints a bleak picture for European Jewry. As Maimon puts it delicately, “European Jewish life has quite possibly reached a negative inflexion point.” Jews in Europe seem to be caught between the hammer of persecution by Muslims and the anvil of “post-multicultural” native-European animosity toward both Jews and Muslims as “outsiders, clinging to backward, unsavory rituals and beliefs.”

Dr. Haim Shine: We’ve seen this show before— Every time the U.S. runs into difficulties, whether domestically or abroad, it immediately focuses all its energies on Israel.

Yoaz Handel: The Judea and Samaria Account—It is possible to narrow the debate on the future of the West Bank. The settlement blocs (12%) will not go to the Palestinians. Areas A and B, about 40%, will not be settled by Israelis. That leaves 48% from Area C in which 100,000 settlers live. Over this territory there is a serious debate that crosses political camps in Israel. But as opposed to the public discourse, this has no similarity to the struggle in the ’90s over the question of the entire Land of Israel. Twenty years after signing the Oslo Agreements, at least we should argue over the correct question.

Jonathan Schanzer: The Need for Real Palestinian Political Reform—After he resigned on Sunday, newly appointed PA Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah tweeted: “The situation in this country forced me to resign. Conflicts, confusion, corruption. Palestine needs a real political reform.” Abbas wanted a weak premier who could enable him to consolidate power. He tapped Hamdallah because he was a political neophyte and a Fatah party loyalist. Hamdallah’s resignation makes it clear that in the post-Fayyad era, the need for improved Palestinian governance is an issue that will not go away.

Khaled Abu Toameh: Lebanon’s Apartheid Laws—Although Palestinians have lived in Lebanon for more than six decades, they are still treated as foreigners when it comes to obtaining a work permit, according to Lebanon’s Daily Star. Three years ago, the Lebanese government decided to amend its Apartheid law that denies Palestinians the right to work in 20 professions, including as doctors, dentists, lawyers, engineers or accountants. Although three years have passed since the law was amended, nothing has changed for the Palestinians in Lebanon. By contrast, anyone visiting an Israeli hospital would quickly notice the significant number of Arab doctors, nurses and pharmacists.

Ronen Bergman: The Fall of Hizbullah’s Leader—The political demise of Hizbullah’s secretary-general, Hassan Nasrallah, will be gradual, but it is already clear that his historic role has ended. His principal goal – to become a pan-Arab and Lebanese leader – is now unattainable. For a number of years, Nasrallah was considered, according to polls, the most popular of all Arab leaders.

Khaled Abu Toameh: Palestinians: “No Jews Allowed”— The next time U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry visits Ramallah, will he actually violate U.S. law to make sure there are no Jews among his entourage, lest he upset his Palestinian hosts? “We will approve the meeting on condition there are no Jews.” This is what you are likely to hear these days if you request a meeting with any senior Palestinian Authority official in the West Bank. Palestinian journalists who try to arrange meetings or interviews with Palestinian Authority representatives for Western colleagues have become used to hearing such things almost on a daily basis.

Majid Rafizadeh: The Truth About Iran’s New ‘Centrist’ President—Western liberal media have recently contributed in creating the narrative that the newly-elected president of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hassan Rouhani, is the political figure destined to resolve Iran’s heightened political, economic, strategic, and diplomatic tensions with the Western world. Specifically, media suggest that Rouhani may solve Tehran’s nuclear defiance in the face of the international community, its stance towards Tel Aviv, its support for Assad’s brutal and authoritarian regime, as well as the Islamic Republic of Iran’s unconditional military, financial, intelligence, and advisory support to regional and international non-state actors classified as terrorist groups, such as Hezbollah and Hamas.

Jack Cashill: What CNN Cut Out of the TWA 800 Interview— This past Saturday morning, I did a live remote from Kansas City for CNN’s “New Day” program, hosted by Alison Kosik, on the subject of TWA Flight 800.  This Paris-bound 747 was destroyed in mid-air twelve minutes out of JFK, just off the coast of Long Island, on July 17, 1996, killing all 230 people on board. On Tuesday of this week, I posted an article on American Thinker explaining how — and perhaps why — CNN cut a minute or so out of the CNN transcript of this five-minute interview.

14--Blessings from Revelation

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
