4--Scripture of the Day

Daniel 4: 36-37

“At that time my reason returned to me. And my majesty and splendor were restored to me for the glory of my kingdom, and my counselors and my nobles began seeking me out; so I was reestablished in my sovereignty, and surpassing greatness was added to me. Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, exalt and honor the King of heaven, for all His works are true and His ways just, and He is able to humble those who walk in pride.”

5--HNIY Print form

His Name is Yahweh explains why the Name of God, Yahweh, is so important.  It’s available in eBook format and in paperback.  It’s also available for free in PDF format.

  • God also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘Yahweh, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’ This [Yahweh] is my name forever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation.” (Exodus 3: 15)
  • “Therefore behold, I am going to make them know—this time I will make them know My power and My might; and they shall know that My name is Yahweh.” (Jeremiah 16: 21)
  • “Behold, the days are coming,” declares Yahweh, “when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch; and He will reign as king and act wisely and do justice and righteousness in the land.  In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely; and this is His name by which He will be called, ‘Yahweh our righteousness.’” (Jeremiah 23: 5-6)
  • Yeshua said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.” (John 8: 58)

13--Perspectives

#####

Hezi Sternlicht: What about the poor?— Fischer lauds Lapid for tackling the deficit, although he disapproves of his focus on the middle class.

Raymond Ibrahim: Muslim Cleric: ‘I Hate Christians and Am Disgusted by Them’—Egyptian scholar preaches the malevolent Islamic doctrine of “Love and Hate.”

Thomas Sowell: Middle East ‘Democracy’—The Obama administration treated the creation of “democracy” in the Middle East as a Good Thing. Ironically, those who created the United States of America viewed democracy with fear– and created a Constitutional republic instead.

Fay Voshell: Stomping on Jesus: The Iconoclasm of the Left—The attempt to wipe out Christian symbols and to achieve the Leftist goal of the total secularization of American society continues apace even though the majority of Americans are at least nominally Christian.

Richard L. Cravatts: Trying to Give Scholarly Respectability to the ‘Right of Return’ Fantasy—Jew-haters prepare to descend on Boston University.

Gallia Lindenstrauss: Spring is in the Air? On the Thawing of Turkey-Israel Relations—The Israeli apology to Turkey for operational errors during the takeover of the Mavi Marmara in May 2010 and the agreement between the sides to start a process of normalization in relations is a major development, long awaited in Israel, Turkey, and the United States. While many have questioned whether this apology at the current time is sufficient to restore relations, the negotiations underway since the Mavi Marmara episode have made it very clear that without such an apology there was no chance of restoring relations.

Ronn Torossian: Liberals Ignore Middle East Racism & Discrimination—It’s time the Left end its bigotry against the Jewish State.

Cyrus Afzali: Carson: White Liberals the Most Racist—“They need to shut me up, they need to get rid of me. They can’t find anything else to delegitimize me, so they take my words, misinterpret them, and try to make it seem that I’m a bigot,” he said. After Levin asked him about white liberals, Carson, who is black, said, “They’re the most racist people there are because they put you in a little category, a box. How could you dare come off the plantation?”

Bill Straub: Bill on Genetically Modified Food Sneaks Through in CR—The language essentially prohibits the courts from halting the planting of genetically modified seeds.

John Stossel: Green Tyranny—Environmental activists and politicians would like you to think that we must love their regulations — or hate trees and animals.

Thomas Lifson: It’s Almost 3 AM and North Korea’s Calling—President Obama has a situation on his hands where charisma and media support do him no good.

John Steele Gordon: Eurozone Unemployment Crisis—Whatever the U.S. unemployment figures turn out to be on Friday, they will be far better than what the eurozone—the 17 countries that use the euro currency—released today. The eurozone economy is contracting, which is to say it’s in recession, and the overall unemployment is a dismal 12 percent, up from 11.9 percent last month.

Daren Jonescu: Facing the Hardest Truth on Public Education—A time for righteous anger, and the will to put a stop to more than a century of forced intellectual and moral decline.

John Steele Gordon: Social Justice: A Solution in Search of a Problem—The left has always had a knack for the high-sounding phrase, such as New Deal, Great Society, etc.  One that is increasingly in vogue these days is Social Justice.  It sounds noble—everyone’s in favor of justice, right?—but when you look closely, it’s nothing more than the old redistribution of income in the name of “equality.” The left argues that free markets inherently produce unequal results and these inequalities need to be corrected for justice to be achieved.

Robert Oscar Lopez: Gay Marriage: The Left’s Great Shame—You wouldn’t know it if you spent all your time reading the American media dominated by the neo-liberal-corporate-industrial complex, but a street revolution is occurring in France.

Selwyn Duke: American Arrested for Anti-homosexual Statements—What do the Islamic world and Europe have in common? There are actually many similarities, but one is this: in neither place are Christians always allowed to express their beliefs without fear of persecution.

Bosch Fawstin: Terrorist Bill Ayers: From Bombs to Obama—Ayers realized at one point that someone like Obama could do far more damage to America than he himself could ever do as a terrorist.

Ray Takeyh: The Best Red Line for a Nuclear Iran—Iran’s path to the bomb is contingent on its ability to produce vast quantities of low-enriched uranium while introducing a new generation of high-velocity centrifuges. Both are being produced at an unimpeded pace at the Natanz enrichment plant.

Manfred Gerstenfeld: Is Norway Funding the Murderers of Israelis?—Norway’s three largest opposition parties have asked for an investigation into Norwegian financing of the Palestinian Authority, seeking to clarify the funding of Palestinian salaries paid to convicted terrorists.

Washingtion Post Editorial: New laws would cripple Egyptian democratic institutions—THE OBAMA administration and other Western governments are increasingly concerned that Egypt’s shaky Islamic government will exhaust the country’s foreign reserves rather than adopt the painful austerity measures necessary to win fresh funding from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). While the danger of an economic collapse is real, it is not the only threat the West should be focused on. Cairo is also on the verge of adopting laws that would cripple the country’s fragile new democratic order and drastically reduce the West’s ability to influence Egypt’s course.

Arnold Ahlert:Connecticut’s Draconian Anti-Second Amendment Bill—The most extreme gun-control law in America is poised to be passed — but it still wouldn’t have prevented Newtown.

H.A. Hellyer: Egypt’s public relations disaster— There could be more outrageous public relations disasters for a government to engage in. There could be. I just can’t think of any. Imagine Jon Stewart being arrested on charges of insulting U.S. President Barack Obama and insulting Judaism. Then imagine that in the entire English-speaking world, there are only political satirists. You then get to what it means for the Egyptian authorities to issue an arrest warrant for Bassem Youssef, and the easily predictable repercussions. But this case goes far beyond Bassem Youssef — it speaks to the future of freedom of expression and the media in the largest Arab country, and to the success of its ongoing revolution.

Steven Simpson: Has Benjamin Netanyahu’s Apology Opened a Pandora’s Box for Israel?—The Turkish delight that Netanyahu presented on a golden platter to Erdogan only fueled Turkey’s sense of invincibility against the dhimmi Yahudi.

Max Boot: Libya Is Still Unraveling—Barack Obama became president in no small part by castigating the Bush administration for its errors in Iraq. Now, ironically enough, as president he appears bent on repeating the biggest Bush error of all—namely toppling an existing Middle East strongman without doing enough to build up a stable state in his wake.

David Horowitz: This Is Columbia University—What the hiring of convicted killer Kathy Boudin tells us about the Left’s depraved rule over academia.

14--Blessings from Revelation

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.

  • Falsely Accused is a true story about a young woman who was accused of committing a double homicide.  It’s about a travesty of justice, and it reveals Yahweh intervening in the life of a believer to rescue her from danger in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds.  Everyone will enjoy the book, but young people in particular need to read it because the mistakes made that led to the problem could have been avoided.  They were the kinds of mistakes that young people are prone to make.  As they say, forewarned is forearmed.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
