Below is the opening of Christine Blasey Ford’s letter to Senator Dianne Feinstein. The letter is dated July 30, 2018:
Dear Senator Feinstein;
I am writing with information relevant in evaluating the current nominee to the Supreme Court.
As a constituent, I expect that you will maintain this as confidential until we have further opportunity to speak.
Timeline of Events
- July 9, 2018: President Trump announced his intention to nominate Judge Brett Kavanaugh to serve as an Associate Justice on the Supreme Court.
- July 30, 2018: Senator Dianne Feinstein received Christine Blasey Ford’s letter.
- September 4 to 7, 2018: Judge Kavanaugh’s hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee.
- September 12, 2018: Feinstein shared the contents of Ford’s letter with Democratic members of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
- September 16, 2018: The Washington Post published an article naming Christine Blasey Ford as the woman who said Kavanaugh had sexually assaulted her.
Senator Feinstein to Senator Grassley

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) rebuked conservative claims she or her staff held onto a confidential letter from Christine Blasey Ford against Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh and leaked it to disrupt his confirmation process.
“Mr. Chairman, let me be clear. I did not hide Dr. Ford’s allegations. I did not leak her story,” she said to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa). “She asked me to hold it confidential and I kept it confidential as she asked. She apparently was stalked by the press, felt that what happened, she was forced to come forward, and her greatest fear was realized,” Feinstein, who is the ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said.
“I was given some information by a woman who was very much afraid that asked that it be held confidential, and I held it confidential until she decided that she would come forward,” she added, also saying her staff members did not leak the letter.
What Ford Actually Said
“I expect that you will maintain this as confidential until we have further opportunity to speak.”
What Feinstein told Senator Grassley that Ford Said
“I was given some information by a woman who was very much afraid that asked that it be held confidential, and I held it confidential until she decided that she would come forward.”
Feinstein Should have Spoken with Ford
Given the seriousness of the accusation against Judge Kavanaugh, Senator Feinstein should have spoken to Ford as quickly as she received Ford’s letter. An FBI investigation could have been completed in August, and the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing could have addressed the accusation.
Feinstein Failed
Senator Feinstein failed to do her job. Her failure resulted in a travesty of justice.
Judge Brett Kavanaugh, his wife, and his two young daughters have been forced endure shame and ridicule unnecessarily because of a scurrilous, uncorroborated allegation from Christine Blasey Ford.
Ford’s story makes no sense, and she wasn’t cross-examined to delve into the problems in her narrative.
Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee declared that Ford is an innocent victim on the strength of an allegation alone, and they declared that Judge Kavanaugh is guilty without a shred of evidence.

- Democrat members of the Senate Judiciary Committee are political hacks and opportunists.
- It is highly likely that a Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee leaked Ford’s letter to the press.
- Jeff Flake is a coward and a fool.
- The corrupt establishment media is spinning the Democrat narrative.
- Ultimately, Dianne Feinstein is responsible for the Senate Judiciary Committee circus.
More on this Sordid Affair
There is so much evidence of wrong-doing by Democrats in their effort to prevent Brett Kavanaugh from taking a seat on the Supreme Court that you would have to be an ignoramus or an idiot not to see it.
There are plenty of both. Most of them self-identify as Democrats.
Do Democrats in the Senate know that young people are being weaponized, that they are confronting people in public places sometimes aggressively, and that if they keep it up some of them will die?
Of course, they know. It’s part of their plan.
Democrats in the Senate will have blood on their hands. They will blame the opposition when kids start to die, but they are guilty.
Ordinary Americans are waking up to reality and seeing through their evil tricks and dirty deeds.
