August 6, 2015 SnyderTalk: New Planned Parenthood Transcript: Nurse Admits It’s ‘Fun’ To Dissect Fetuses

1--Intro Covering Israel and ME

“And it will come about in the last days that the mountain of the house of Yahweh will be established as the chief of the mountains. It will be raised above the hills, and the peoples will stream to it. Many nations will come and say, ‘Come and let us go up to the mountain of Yahweh and to the house of the God of Jacob, that He may teach us about His ways and that we may walk in His paths.’ For from Zion will go forth the law, even the word of Yahweh from Jerusalem.” Micah 4: 1-2

Blake Neff—New Planned Parenthood Transcript: Nurse Admits It’s ‘Fun’ To Dissect Fetuses:

The transcript accompanying the latest undercover Planned Parenthood video has an employee of the group admit she finds it “fun” to dissect fetuses for their organs and would “enjoy” the opportunity to do it on behalf of fetal tissue purchasers.

The exchange isn’t included in the 15-minute edited video released Tuesday by the Center for Medical Progress (CMP), but is instead buried deep in the 119-page transcript accompanying it (a full-footage version of the video hasn’t been released yet). In the exchange, Melissa Farrell, director of research for Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, admits she and her co-worker would find it enjoyable if a tissue buyer wanted them to dissect dead fetuses for parts.

“It would be exciting too if you needed it dissected, because LaShonda and I are the most Curious George of the group,” Farrell says. “I know it’s sickening on some level, but it’s fun.”

The undercover investigator from CMP, posing as somebody looking to buy fetal tissue, responds “Now, let’s think about it.” Farrell then continues: “No, it’s just that those of us who are into medicine and nursing, things that other people find gross, we enjoy. Obviously.”

SnyderTalk Comment: This is otherworldly evil.  The most shocking thing to me is that the Democrat Party is in lockstep with Planned Parenthood, and Barack Obama is their most enthusiastic supporter.

But Democrats keep getting elected.  That tells me a lot about us as a nation, and it tells me everything that I need to know about the Democrat Party and Barack Obama.

Caroline Glick: This isn’t about Bibi and Obama—It was obvious the fight over President Barack Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran would get very ugly, very quickly. And so it has. It was obvious that it would be ugly because the fight over Obama’s appeasement policy toward Iran has been going on since he took office six-and-a-half years ago. And it has always been ugly. Every time Obama has sided with the mullahs against domestic opponents he has played the Jew card in one way or another. He has blown more anti-Semitic dog whistles than many in Washington even realized existed. Now the stakes are far higher than a mere sanctions bill. Obama has gotten his deal with Iran. And he’ll be damned if he allows it to go down. So it is open season on Israel and its supporters.

Victor Davis Hanson: Israeli Preemptive Action, Western Reaction—The Israelis have taken to heart lots of lessons over the last 70 years. They have concluded that often the world quietly wants Israel to deal with existential threats emanating from the Middle East while loudly damning it when it does. They have learned from the experience of the Holocaust that, for good or evil, Jews are on their own and can never again trust in the world’s professed humanity to prevent another Holocaust. And they are convinced that they can also never again err on the side of the probability that national leaders, with deadly weapons in their grasp, do not really mean all the unhinged things they shout and scream about killing Jews. Given all that, we should conclude that any deal that leads, now or in the near future, to an Iranian bomb is unacceptable to Israel—a nation that will likely soon have no choice but to consider the unthinkable in order to prevent the unimaginable.

SnyderTalk Comment: That assessment makes sense to me.  If it’s accurate, we should see the something soon.  I think that unanimous U.N. Security Council support for it is the critical event.

So, this is the question: what will Obama do if Israel does what it has to do?

Emily B. Landau: A Deeply Flawed Deal—The narrative of “no alternative” to the Iran deal never was an accurate description of reality. It was always a political tactic that worked especially well with populations that are so frightened of the short-term implications of any military threat that they are willing to close their eyes not only to the problems with this deal, but to the vastly more dangerous longer-term implications of Iran acquiring nuclear weapons. Iran was successful in achieving its goals in the negotiation – namely, to lift all sanctions, retain its breakout capability and gain international recognition and legitimacy for its vast nuclear program – in large part because it stuck to its narrative and its red lines. Iran simply refused to budge on anything of true significance. The U.S. feared that if the P5+1 were tougher with Iran, the talks would have collapsed. But Iran was at the table because it desperately needed sanctions relief; therefore, it would not really have let the talks collapse. Now U.S. officials are again twisting the facts and the alternatives, presenting its concessions as nonconcessions. If Congress does voice its opposition, it would be a strong message that this is indeed a bad deal, and that in turn could perhaps garner support for efforts to at least improve mechanisms of dealing with Iranian violations.

Kevin Liptak, Deirdre Walsh and Jim Acosta: Obama Tries to Reassure American Jewish Leaders on Iran—President Barack Obama tried to persuade a group of 22 American Jewish leaders to back his recent nuclear deal with Iran at a Tuesday White House meeting that was at times contentious, according to participants. Several Jewish leaders confronted Obama on his recent comments that opposing the Iran deal is tantamount to supporting war with Iran – and made a direct appeal that the debate over the Iran nuclear accord not be framed that way. Senators Tim Kaine (D-Va.) Bill Nelson (D-Fla.) and Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) officially endorsed the agreement, while Reps. Steve Israel (D-NY), chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, Nita Lowey (D-NY), ranking member of the House Appropriations Committee, and Ted Deutch (D-Fla.), ranking member of the House Foreign Affairs Middle East subcommittee, all said they would not support the deal.

Ron Ben-Yishai: U.S. Can’t Defend Israel Against a Nuclear Attack—If Iran decides to attack Israel with a nuclear weapon – or even not with a nuclear weapon – it is completely reasonable to assume that it will be a surprise attack. There is no chance that the U.S. will be able to defend us against such an attack, especially a nuclear attack, unless the Americans deploy tens of thousands of soldiers with missile batteries and radars on Israeli territory, who will be on constant alert. However, such a deployment will violate the principle reiterated by all Israeli prime ministers and defense ministers, starting from David Ben-Gurion in the 1960s, who said that “Israel will defend itself on its own, and I don’t want even one American soldier to shed blood for our sake.”

Joint Statement by Robert Satloff, Dennis Ross, James Jeffrey, Patrick Clawson, David Makovsky, Michael Eisenstadt, and Simon Henderson: Assessing the Iran Nuclear Agreement—The Iran nuclear agreement has several major achievements, especially the long-term restrictions on key aspects of Iran’s declared nuclear program that – if fully implemented, monitored and verified – are likely to prevent Iranian nuclear breakout for up to 15 years. At the same time, we assess that critical aspects of the JCPOA may fall short of the standards outlined in the Washington Institute’s Iran Study Group’s June 24 policy statement. We recommend the following clarifications and additional measures, many of which should appropriately be addressed before Congress votes on the JCPOA. We are concerned about whether it provides adequately “timely access” when it comes to undeclared sites. Because the agreement on access to the Parchin military site has yet to be made public, it is difficult to know whether it meets the terms specified in the study group statement: that IAEA inspectors have the ability “to take samples, to interview scientists and government officials, to inspect sites, and to review and copy documents as required for their investigation.”

Danielle Pletka: How Congress Can Make a Bad Iran Deal Better—Congress fought a bruising legislative battle in order to ensure its right to review the Iran deal. But what should it do now? The right course is to secure a bipartisan vote that rejects the deal in its current form, but doesn’t stop there. Congress should outline a deal that the American people can accept; a deal that actually secures the positive outcomes the administration now claims. Many, including at times the president himself, Secretary of State Kerry and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, have laid out the parameters of an agreement with Iran that, while not optimal, would at minimum be acceptable. These provisions include a phased agreement linked to performance, an end to research and development on advanced centrifuges, a sharper reduction in operating centrifuges, shuttering the underground facility at Fordow and the Arak heavy water reactor, shipping out Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile, anywhere-anytime inspections, and no lapse of Iran’s obligations after 10-15 years. If Iran doesn’t wish to sign on to a better deal, U.S. unilateral sanctions can still effectively limit even European cooperation with Iran. Bans on dollar transactions can constrain Iran’s oil trade, and limit the $150 billion windfall now headed Tehran’s way. And bans on weapons sales and ballistic missile work will certainly hinder Iran’s conventional weapons efforts. There is common ground on Capitol Hill on the question of Iran. Finding it is the right call.

Israeli Prime Minister’s Office—Netanyahu: I Oppose Iran Deal Because I Want to Prevent War, and This Deal Will Bring War: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the Jewish Federations of North America and the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations in a webcast on Tuesday.

  • The nuclear deal with Iran doesn’t block Iran’s path to the bomb. It actually gives Iran two paths to the bomb. Iran can get to the bomb by keeping the deal or Iran could get to the bomb by violating the deal.
  • Keeping the deal allows Iran to maintain and eventually expand a vast and increasingly sophisticated nuclear infrastructure. This infrastructure is unnecessary for civilian nuclear energy, but it’s entirely necessary for nuclear weapons. Astonishingly, the deal gives Iran’s illicit nuclear program full international legitimacy and makes it far easier for Iran to build dozens, even hundreds of nuclear weapons in a little over a decade.
  • Iran has a second path to the bomb, one that would give it a nuclear weapon in far less time. Iran could violate the deal. Now, people argue that Iran will be prevented from cheating because we’ll have good intelligence and unprecedented inspections. But honestly, for years none of us discovered the massive underground nuclear facilities Iran was building at Fordo and at Natanz, or that the Syrians were building a nuclear reactor for plutonium production. So it’s very precarious to bet the deal’s success on intelligence. Neither intelligence nor inspections prevented North Korea from building atomic bombs despite assurances that they wouldn’t be able to do so.
  • The deal also gives Iran a massive infusion of cash and Iran will use this cash to fund its aggression in the region and its terrorism around the world. As a result of this deal, there’ll be more terrorism. There will be more attacks. And more people will die.
  • Here in Israel, Isaac Herzog, the leader of the Labor opposition, the man who ran against me in this year’s election, has said that there is no daylight between us when it comes to the deal with Iran. This is simply not a partisan issue in Israel. A huge majority of Israelis oppose the deal.
  • The deal’s supporters claim that those who oppose this deal want war. That’s utterly false. We in Israel don’t want war because it’s we who are on the front lines. We face Iran’s terror on three borders. We face tens of thousands of Iranian rockets aimed at all our cities. We face Iran, whose regime repeatedly calls for the destruction of the Jewish state, whose terrorist proxies try to kill Jews every day, and who is also the leading state sponsor of anti-Semitism.
  • Israelis are going to be the ones who pay the highest price if there’s war and if Iran gets the bomb. The claim that we oppose this deal because we want war is outrageous. Israel wants to dismantle Iran’s nuclear program and Israel wants peace. This deal will advance neither goal. I oppose this deal because I want to prevent war, and this deal will bring war.

Oren Kessler: Egypt Also Fears the Iran Nuclear Deal—Last week, both the Egyptian Foreign Ministry and the Al-Azhar religious seminary condemned Iran’s “interference” in Arab affairs. Like Israel and the Gulf States, Egypt dreads the effect of a cash-flush and potentially nuclear-armed Iran on its interests and security. Egypt is, with Saudi Arabia and the Gulf monarchies, a pillar of the Sunni Arab bloc opposed to the spread of Iranian influence in the region. Today, just 15% of Egyptians view Iran as having a positive influence in the world, and anti-Shiite and anti-Iranian invective is common in Egyptian media.

John R. Bolton: The Pitfalls of Snapback Sanctions—If Iran is caught transgressing, President Obama’s plan is to apply “snapback sanctions.” Yet in two provisions of the deal (Paragraphs 26 and 37), Iran rejects the legitimacy of sanctions coming back into force. “Iran has stated that if sanctions are reinstated in whole or in part, Iran will treat that as grounds to cease performing its commitments under this JCPOA.” Thus the pattern will not be: Iran violates the deal; sanctions snap back; Iran resumes compliance. Quite the reverse. The far more likely future is: Iran violates the deal; sanctions snap back; Iran tells us to take our deal and stuff it – but only after Iran had reaped the economic benefits of having its assets unfrozen and the sanctions ended.

Martin Peretz: If Iran’s Leaders Don’t Want Nuclear Weapons, Why Did They Insist on the Sunset Provision?—If Iran’s leaders don’t want nuclear weapons, why did they insist on a time limit for the nuclear agreement – the sunset provision? The Iranians have managed to achieve sanctions relief, the legitimacy that comes from press conferences with great powers, and an eased path to nuclear weapons – all without having to pause their “Death to America” street rallies, return their American hostages, curb their aggression in the Middle East, or release their presidential candidates from house arrest. Strangely, the President and the Secretary of State wanted to separate the issue of the nature and conduct of the Iranian regime from the nuclear issue. Most would think that a negotiation over the details of uranium enrichment would take into account the behavior of those who will control the uranium once it is enriched. The Iranians certainly recognized these two issues as linked, and used that linkage to their advantage, insisting on the easing of the arms embargo. So the U.S. excluded nonnuclear issues in order to get a deal, while Iran included non-nuclear issues to their benefit.

David K. Li: Netanyahu: Iran More Interested in Nuking U.S. than Israel—Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told a U.S. audience in a streamed address on Tuesday: “Iran is not building these ICBMs to hit Israel. They already have missiles that can hit Israel everywhere. They are building these ICBMs to hit you. To hit the United States. You’re the great Satan, we’re just the small Satan.”

Erin Cunningham: The Flow of Jihadists into Syria Dries Up as Turkey Cracks Down on the Border—For years, Turkey’s porous border with Syria provided a lifeline for the Islamic State, allowing the group to ferry weapons and fighters to build its brutal “caliphate.” But where jihadists once streamed over this frontier, Turkish authorities have intensified police patrols to block the illicit flow in recent days. Turkish security forces were also rounding up alleged sympathizers of the Islamic State in Turkey.

Burak Bekdil—Turkey: ISIS’s Hostage Again:

  • When the Islamic State took hostage 49 Turks at the Mosul consulate, it took hostage the entire country. The jihadists still hold Turkey hostage.
  • Interestingly, the Islamic State has so far mainly targeted President Erdogan’s ideological/political foes: Alevis in the Reyhanli bombing, and the Kurdish political movement in four separate bomb attacks.
  • Note that it was the Kurdish political movement that on June 7 dashed Erdogan’s dreams to introduce an executive presidential system.
  • Erdogan is hostage to the jihadists of his own making.

Jackson Diehl: U.S. Reverses Policy to Include Iran in Syrian Peace Talks—At his post-deal news conference last month, President Obama conceded that Iran might use some of the billions it will soon receive to supply the Lebanese Hizbullah with fresh weapons, and he vowed to do his best to stop it. “It is in the national security interest of the United States to prevent Iran from sending weapons to Hizbullah,” he said. At the same time, Obama described the solution to the Syrian civil war as requiring an “agreement among the major powers that are interested in Syria….Iran is one of those players, and I think that it’s important for them to be part of that conversation.” That remark signaled a reverse of Obama’s previous policy of excluding Iran from Syrian peace talks. At U.S. insistence, Tehran was left out of the two conferences held in Geneva in 2012 and 2014. More important, conceding an Iranian say on Syria contradicted Obama’s goal of stopping its support for Hizbullah. That’s because Iran’s deep support for the Assad regime is driven almost entirely by its use of Syria as a land bridge to the Shiite militia. Hizbullah “is Iran’s aircraft carrier in the eastern Mediterranean,” says Robert Ford, the former U.S. ambassador to Syria. The militia deploys tens of thousands of missiles in southern Lebanon aimed at Israel, and it ensures that no government in Lebanon can be formed without Tehran’s consent. Thousands of its fighters are keeping the Assad regime standing in order to preserve this link to Iran. A serious effort to end Syria’s war will require Obama to choose between challenging Iran’s Syrian land bridge to Hizbullah through more vigorous support for anti-Assad forces, or accepting a settlement that tacitly sanctions a continued Iranian proxy army on Israel’s border.

Ofer Israeli: The Secret of Iran’s Success— The Iranian delegation won significant results through its dogged adherence to the four negotiating principles of the Persian bazaar. First, from the Persian point of view, the negotiating process is not designed for facilitating a compromise between the opposing sides. It is also not designed for reaching a middle ground between the sides’ original proposals. Its goal is to allow the Persian side to meet its objectives. If not, the negotiating process is delayed until a future date when the conditions are deemed more favorable. In the meantime, the Persians will buy time and learn to live with the situation. Secondly, the only measure for success in negotiations is achieving the goal, which has been predetermined. Any other outcome will be perceived as a defeat, which will eventually be rejected by the highest echelons of power. Iran avoided compromising its goals despite the sanctions imposed on it for years. The Persians held steadfast to their positions until they completely exhausted the opposing negotiators. Third, any compromise on basic principles is considered weakness. Fourth, honesty and truth telling does not apply to the world of international politics. Any problem raised by the other side will be met with a future solution, which will be backed up by impressive promises that will supposedly bridge the gaps, though there is no honest and truthful intention to stick to the deal, which will be violated at a time deemed suitable. Throughout the negotiations, the Iranian representatives operated in accordance with these four principles. Of course, we can identify certain points in time where the Iranian negotiators supposedly gave in, but this was only to create the appearance of a positive dynamic while absolutely adhering to their national interests. Despite the sophistication, guile and resolve exhibited by the Persians, the Islamic Republic can be defeated. One way to do so is to adopt some of the Persian strategies described here.

Ma’an News-PA: Palestinians Attempt to Set Fire to Joseph’s Tomb in Nablus—Dozens of Palestinians in Nablus in the West Bank threw rocks, bottles, and firebombs at Israeli civilians and soldiers at Joseph’s Tomb on Saturday. PA security forces deployed to prevent dozens of youths from setting the tomb site on fire.

SnyderTalk Comment: Nablus is Shechem.

Camilla Turner: UK Schools Teaching “Pro-Palestinian Extremist Agenda”—An “extremist agenda” is being taught to children as young as three, it has been claimed, with the UK National Union of Teachers (NUT) accused of “spreading political propaganda” in classrooms by promoting Palestinian “resistance.” The NUT has designed and promoted a teaching resources pack which asks teachers to explore themes of Palestinian “occupation, freedom and resistance.” The resource pack’s accompanying video contains references to “Jews” as opposed to “Israelis.” Tom Wilson, from the Henry Jackson Society, a think-tank, called the project “overtly agenda driven” and warned: “We need to be more vigilant about the politicization of British classrooms….It is a particularly shameless example of political activism masquerading as a legitimate form of education.” Sam Westrop, the director of Stand for Peace, a counter-extremism think-tank, said that by teaching school children that Palestinian “resistance” against Israel was a worthy cause, the “NUT’s political propaganda and misrepresentation serves the extremist agenda….The law is crystal clear: all political discussions in school should be unbiased and balanced.”

Khaled Abu Toameh: Islamic State Gaining Recruits in Gaza—While the Hamas leadership has consistently denied the existence of Islamic State terrorists inside Gaza, Palestinian sources in Gaza say that the Islamic State has over the past few months recruited hundreds of young men to its ranks, mostly former members of Hamas and Islamic Jihad. In a recent video, the Islamic State announced that its men would soon reach Gaza and remove the Hamas “tyrants” from power.

Bassam Tawil—Palestinians: The Difference between Us and Them

  • We Palestinians have failed to educate our people on the principles of tolerance and peace. Instead, we condone and applaud terrorism, especially when it is directed against Jews. We want the world to condemn terrorism only when it claims the lives of Palestinians.
  • Abbas’s ambiguous, half-hearted condemnations of attacks by Palestinians against Israelis are only intended for public consumption and are primarily aimed at appeasing Western donors so that they will continue channeling funds to the Palestinian Authority. In addition, his condemnations seek to blame Israel for Palestinian terror attacks.
  • Netanyahu’s strong and clear condemnation left me and other Palestinians wondering when was the last time we heard similar statements from our leaders. I cannot remember Abbas or any other Palestinian leader ever expressing shock and outrage over the killing of a Jew in a Palestinian terror attack, nor the last time a Palestinian official visited the Israeli victims of a Palestinian terror attack.
  • Each time Abbas reluctantly condemns a Palestinian terror attack, he faces a wave of criticism from many Palestinians. Unlike the Israeli public, many Palestinians often rush to justify, and even welcome, terror attacks against Jews. Has there ever been a Palestinian activist who dared to hold a rally in a Palestinian city to condemn suicide bombings or the murder of an entire Jewish family? The Israeli president has good reason to feel ashamed for the murder of the baby. But when will we Palestinians ever have a sense of shame over the way we react to the murder of Jews?

Ben Shapiro: The Age of the Demagogue— Last week, President Obama visited the set of Jon Stewart’s “The Daily Show” for the third, and presumably final, time. Obama has set records for the most late-night talk show appearances. He’s also appeared alongside YouTube star GloZell Green, in the online series “Between Two Ferns,” and Miami radio host DJ Laz, aka “The Pimp with the Limp.” Obama has treated the White House like his own personal concert venue, complete with selfie-stick video. After all, as they say, you only live once. Meanwhile, the same week as Obama’s final French-kissing session with palace guard Stewart, Obama vowed to push through his support-free nuclear deal with Iran, utilize the power of the executive to curb carbon emissions from power plants and craft more executive action on immigration. Buffoonish. Powerful. The two descriptors used to oppose one another in the minds of the American electorate. Now they go together like Oval Office and oral sex.

4--Scripture of the Day Yahweh

Exodus 17

14 Then Yahweh said to Moses, “Write this in a book as a memorial and recite it to Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven.” 15 Moses built an altar and named it Yahweh is My Banner; 16 and he said, “Yahweh has sworn; Yahweh will have war against Amalek from generation to generation.”

SnyderTalk Comment: Read His Name is Yahweh.

________________________________________

5--HNIY Print form 2

His Name is Yahweh explains why the Name of God, Yahweh, is so important.  It’s available in eBook format and in paperback.  It’s also available for free in PDF format.

  • God also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘Yahweh, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’ This [Yahweh] is my name forever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation.” (Exodus 3: 15)
  • “Therefore behold, I am going to make them know—this time I will make them know My power and My might; and they shall know that My name is Yahweh.” (Jeremiah 16: 21)
  • “Behold, the days are coming,” declares Yahweh, “when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch; and He will reign as king and act wisely and do justice and righteousness in the land. 14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.

Other Books by Neil Snyder

  • Stand! is a suspense novel that exposes the lies, corruption, and greed underlying the theory that man-made CO2 emissions are responsible for global warming. Professor Wes Carlyle and Karen Sterling, his research collaborator, carefully scan the audience for their would-be attacker—a member of the enviro-gestapo who has been following them for days.  Wes spots his man in the back of the room leaning against the wall.  Suddenly, another man in the audience steps forward and moves toward Karen at a menacing pace.  With a vicious stroke, he swings a billy club at her head.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
  • What Will You Do with the Rest of Your Life? deals with a question that every Christian has to consider: what should I do with my life? Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
  • Falsely Accused is a true story about a young woman who was accused of committing a double homicide. It’s about a travesty of justice, and it reveals Yahweh intervening in the life of a believer to rescue her from danger in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds.  Everyone will enjoy the book, but young people in particular need to read it because the mistakes made that led to the problem could have been avoided.  They were the kinds of mistakes that young people are prone to make.  As they say, forewarned is forearmed.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
