Democrats and Cascading Layers of Lies

The mid-term election is just days away, and Democrats are running scared. After 2 years in office, Joe Biden has done more damage than anyone who voted for him would have imagined.

Biden is about to lose Democrat majorities in the House and the Senate. Democrat wannabes are lining up to challenge him for the Democrat nomination for president in 2024.

What to do?

If you are Joe Biden, the answer to that question is simple. Continue lying.

To be candid, though, I am not certain that a man with dementia knows he’s lying. Biden may be just repeating things he was told by radical left-wing Democrats.

Even so, Biden is on the campaign trail telling whoopers, and he has called in former President Barack Obama to help him. At each stop, they tell more and bigger lies.

They are now telling us that our democracy is at stake. If it is, it’s because they refuse to tell the truth.

What happened?

What caused the rapid downhill spiral that Joe Biden and the Democrat Party set in motion? It all started within days of Biden taking office when he attacked oil and gas producers in the United States. That created an oil and gas supply shortage in the United States.

Immediately, oil and gas prices started rising rapidly. With the stroke of Biden’s pen, the U.S. unilaterally surrendered 2 strategic advantages that President Trump handed him on a silver platter:

1. The U.S. is no longer energy independent.
2. The U.S. is no longer the world’s leading energy exporter.

Rather than recognizing that he made a mistake and backing off on oil and gas producers, Biden decided that he would address the supply shortage problem by selling oil from our nation’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve. That reserve is for emergencies. This problem was not caused by an emergency. Biden created it all by himself. It was a very bad idea.

We have Joe Biden and the Democrat Party to thank for these problems.

What has been the effect on American citizens?

As a result of Biden’s attack on U.S. oil and gas producers, the price of gas at the pump soared in the blink of an eye. Overnight, many Americans could not afford to fill their cars with gas.

But energy is used at every stage of the production process for every product and service that Americans buy.

The rapid inflation in energy prices caused the price of everything we need to live to skyrocket: Things like food in grocery stores, restaurant meals, prescription and nonprescription drugs, clothes, and automobile repairs.

The price of everything from basic necessities to high-end luxury items rose dramatically.

Inflation

Thanks to Biden’s decision, inflation in the U.S. hit the roof. It rose to levels not seen in almost 50 years.

To bring inflation under control, the Federal Reserve was forced to increase interest rates, and now, interest rates are higher than they have been in recent memory.

The current mortgage interest rate is about 8%. When Biden took office, the mortgage interest rate was less than 4%. On a $200,000 home loan, that translates into an increased annual interest cost of more than $8,000.

For most Americans, $8,000 a year is a lot of extra money to pay to buy a house, but for Joe Biden and his limousine Democrats, it’s just a pittance.

Interest on loans to buy other things like cars and appliances increased dramatically, too. If you borrow money to buy anything, it will cost you much more now than it did 2 years ago.

Why did President Biden attack U.S. oil and gas producers?

President Biden attacked U.S. oil and gas producers to appease the radical left-wing of the Democrat Party. There was no other reason.

Left-wing Democrats are convinced that man-made hydrocarbon emissions are the cause of climate change, and they are determined to reduce hydrocarbon emissions. They fly from place to place on private jets to deliver that message. After they have completed their tour, they jet off to a secluded island for some rest and relaxation.

Democrats don’t understand climate change.

Earth’s climate always has changed and always will change.

Democrats must have been absent in elementary school the days they talked about the ice ages.

Earth’s last big glacial period lasted for about 75,000 years, and it ended about 25,000 years ago.

The Little Ice Age started in about 1350 AD, lasted for roughly 500 years, and ended in about 1850 AD. Earth has been coming out of the Little Ice Age for less than 200 years. Today we are in a warm interglacial period.

For What It’s Worth

When I graduated from college in 1972, radical left-wing Democrats was telling us that global cooling would cause famine and disease and decimate Earth’s population.

That bogus claim didn’t materialize, so in the 1980s, Democrats switched to global warming as the threat that would destroy our planet.

In the 1990s, when Democrats’ dire warning about sea level rising and inundating cities didn’t materialize, they switched to climate change.

I’ve witnessed all of the dire warnings from Democrats: Global cooling, global warming, and now climate change. The warnings have changed, but everything else has remained the same.

What happens when Earth comes out of an ice age?

This isn’t complicated, but Democrats don’t get it.

When Earth comes out of an ice age, global temperatures rise. That is what is happening now. For about 200 years, Earth has been coming out of the Little Ice Age.

The Little Ice Age started before planes, trains, and automobiles were invented, and industrialization hadn’t even started. Humans didn’t cause the Little Ice Age to begin or end, and nothing humans do can prevent global temperatures from rising after an ice age.

When I explain these things to Democrats, they give me a deer in the headlights look and say, “Don’t bother me with facts. I have an opinion.”

Talking with Democrats is like talking to rocks. The word “numbskull” comes to mind.

President Biden attacked U.S. oil and gas producers for no reason whatsoever except to appease radical left-wing Democrats who are delusional. The cost of that insane decision for American citizens has been astronomically high, and the costs keep rising.

Worst of all, the higher prices we are paying have accomplished and will accomplish absolutely nothing except to make us poorer.

Many Americans are having a hard time buying food to eat and gasoline to fill their cars. For many Americans, borrowing money to buy a home has become a pipe dream.

This was not an accident.

This was not an accident. It was a self-inflicted wound. President Biden did it to our nation at the urging of delusional left-wing Democrats, and all of us are paying the price.
