Hillary Clinton called us “deplorables.” Joe Biden says we are “semi-fascists.”
On September 10, 2016, Hillary Clinton wowed her audience at the LGBT for Hillary gala with an incendiary and divisive statement that attracted a lot of media attention and galvanized Trump supporters:
“You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right? The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic — you name it. And unfortunately, there are people like that. And he has lifted them up.”

I know there are only 60 days left to make our case — and don’t get complacent, don’t see the latest outrageous, offensive, inappropriate comment and think well he’s done this time. We are living in a volatile political environment. You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right? The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic — you name it. And unfortunately there are people like that. And he has lifted them up. He has given voice to their websites that used to only have 11,000 people — now how 11 million. He tweets and retweets their offensive hateful mean-spirited rhetoric. Now, some of those folks — they are irredeemable, but thankfully they are not America.
Hitler used similar language in pre-war Germany when he rallied support for the Nazi Party and its anti-Jewish laws. Immediately after taking power, Hitler began stripping Jews of rights and property. Then came the Holocaust, and six million Jews were slaughtered.
Shortly before Hillary gave that speech, she announced that her campaign was delivering a positive message to the American people. She must have thought her statement that night was funny. Her smug audience of “liberal progressive” sycophants probably never met anyone who planned to vote for Donald Trump. They laughed at the thought of Donald Trump winning the election and applauded Hillary for telling them exactly what they wanted to hear.
Clinton won the popular vote in 2016 with 65.84 million votes. Trump got 62.98 million votes, but in the Electoral College where the real presidential election takes place, Trump won a decisive victory: 306 Electoral College votes to Hillary’s 232.
Roughly half the nation falls into what Clinton called “a basket of deplorables.”
It was a stunning victory for Trump and a smashing defeat for Clinton. From Election Night 2016 to the day President Trump left office, the Democrat Party machine that includes most of the mainstream media and government bureaucrats was in high gear attacking the president mercilessly night and day for everything under the sun. Before Trump left office, Democrats in the House impeached the president twice. The Senate failed to convict him, but Democrats never let up.
To this day, Democrats, the media, and government bureaucrats continue to dog President Trump, because they know that if he runs for president again, he can win. Joe Biden’s dismal performance as president has raised serious doubts in their minds about the likelihood of Democrats holding onto power in the House and the Senate after the midterm elections. The 2024 presidential election scares Democrats to the bone.
As president, Donald Trump was a change agent, a disruptor. He jettisoned the status quo that has persisted since the end of World War II, and angered global leaders who have been sucking the American tit for more than 70 years.
Change is never easy, but big change is almost impossible unless the change agent/disruptor has dogged determination and boundless energy. Trump was the right man for the job.
As president, Donald Trump had one amazing accomplishment after another both globally and domestically. His crowning achievement was the appointment of 3 Supreme Court justices who enabled the overturning of the 1973 Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade. That decision ripped the heart out of the Constitution. It allowed the execution of innocent, unborn babies without due process. It legalized premediated murder on a grand scale, and more than 60 million babies were butchered.
Now, Joe Biden is running for reelection. To prove that he has what it takes to win in 2024, he needs to show that he can hold onto power in the House and Senate in the 2022 midterm elections. He took his message to the American people in prime-time last Thursday.
Exactly what is Biden’s message? He is calling Trump and his Make America Great Again supporters, roughly half the population, “semi-fascists,” and he is telling us that they are extreme threats to democracy. I suppose that is what Biden calls “toning down the rhetoric.” Watch the video below:
The Irony
It is ironic that for 4 years while Donald Trump was president, Democrat mayors in Democrat-run states allowed “liberal progressive” anarchists to run wild in the streets. They burned, looted, and killed with impunity. Democrats blamed President Trump and his supporters for the violence and mayhem. Nothing could be further from the truth. Democrats were responsible.
That was real fascism on display. Hitler used the same tactic to gain power in Germany. Nothing like that happened in cities where Trump supporters were in charge. Democrats are exactly what they say their opponents are.
The Department of Justice and the FBI under Joe Biden have become what Hitler called his “Brownshirts.” They were the enforcers early on during Hitler’s administration while Heinrich Himmler set up the SS and the Gestapo. When those groups took control of security in Germany, Jews and others challenging Hitler were eliminated.
Could that happen in our country? Germans believed it could not happen in Germany, but it did.
The Battle for the Heart and Soul of America
What do we want our nation to be? What do we want our nation to become? Answers to those questions are just weeks away.
Do we want fascists in the Democrat Party and their supporters in the media and the government bureaucracy to define who and what we are? They have portrayed Donald Trump and half the population as enemies of our country, when in fact, they are tearing our country to shreds and undermining the basic principles upon which it was built. And they say that they are doing those things “to protect our democracy.” Trying to destroy our democracy is not protecting it.
