“Seek Yahweh while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts and let him return to Yahweh, and He will have compassion on him. Turn to our Elohim, for He will abundantly pardon.”

Isaiah 55: 6-7

We are on the Verge of Another Global War: Ready or Not, it’s Coming

When I was in college, the U.S. was bogged down in the Vietnam War. We didn’t fight that war to win it. Our goal was to prevent the spread of communism.

Saying that the Vietnam War divided our country is an understatement. A large percentage our young men and women took to the streets in protest. Lots of them were violent. Some of them committed terrorist acts and never suffered the consequences. Our excusing their behavior was inexcusable.

I met some of the soldiers who returned home from Vietnam and went to college. The stories they told suggested that our military was in total disarray. Later we learned that the war was being run from the White House. It was a domestic political war as much as a fight to prevent the spread of communism.

Judging by what we see today, I think it’s fair to say that we lost both wars.

I recall seeing servicemen returning home from Vietnam and being spit on in the airports where they landed. They were called “baby killers” and other such things. I remember thinking, Who will want to join the military after this?

The people who protested the Vietnam War were about my age. They grew up, took jobs, raised families, and now they have children and grandchildren of their own. They didn’t raise their families the way typical families in the U.S. were raised in the years preceding the Vietnam War.

People who are about my age led the fight to make abortion legal in the U.S. They fought to prevent prayer in schools. They wanted to remove any semblance of faith in Yahweh from public places. Large numbers of people who are about my age raised their families to think the way they thought, and they wanted our country to embrace just about anything without regard for right or wrong.

I taught some of their children in college at the University of Virginia. I spent a quarter of a century watching their behavior. By the time I retired, they had become progressively more open to anything goes. The same kinds of changes took place at every college and university in America.

Is the U.S. Worth Fighting and Dying For?

Today, our country is an anything goes place. Over the next few years, we will see evidence of that as Democrats rally support for abortion on demand in all 50 states. They will also push harder for a no borders society and for tolerance of all kinds of wrongdoing. We haven’t seen even half of what they want us to accept. Their forces are at work in our country right now, and they won’t let up. They must be confronted.

We are witnessing the prelude to a possible downfall. The same kinds of things happened in Babylon, Persia, Greece, and Rome before they feel. They were destroyed from within before they were conquered by outside forces.

Along the way, military-age men and women in the U.S. start to wonder if their country is worth fighting and dying for. They begin to wonder if they want to expose themselves to the horrors of war for fellow countrymen who don’t care about much of anything except themselves. Many of them are refusing to join the military. We have reached the point already where that is a serious problem.

See “Military Recruiting Faces Its Biggest Challenge in Years”:

  1. According to military personnel officials at a Senate hearing last week, 2022 is shaping up to be “arguably the most challenging recruiting year” since 1973.
  2. The public fiasco with the Afghanistan withdrawal shook many Americans’ confidence in the military.
  3. There is a false notion that selecting military service closes other options like college or other careers. The opposite is true.

Donald Trump was a Change Agent

China, Russia, and Iran see what is happening in the U.S. as an opportunity. Our nation’s behavior has encouraged them to become more aggressive, and let there be no mistake about it. We are their target. They strike out at countries like Ukraine, Taiwan, and Israel, because they see those countries as our allies. But they are coming after the U.S.

Donald Trump was a change agent. He took steps to reverse the tide toward mediocrity in our country, to strengthen our military, and as he said, to “Make America Great Again”. For 4 years, he was amazingly successful, but he was rejected by sinister forces in our country that are perfectly happy with a declining America. Those forces are still at work today trying to prevent Trump from being elected again 2024.

Another Global War is on the Horizon

We are rapidly heading toward another global war. In World War I and World War II, the U.S. stepped in to save Europe’s bacon. Today, European leaders are pretending to stand firm against Russian aggression in Ukraine the same way European leaders prior to World War II pretended to stand firm against Hitler’s aggression in Poland and Czechoslovakia. Eventually, all of Europe except Britain fell to Hitler.

History repeats itself. European leaders will defeat themselves again this time and beg the U.S. for another bailout.

Will the U.S. be prepared to respond when we get the call?

If we don’t get back on the right course and stay there, the answer will be “NO!”

Ready or Not, It’s Coming

I don’t know about you, but I don’t want my children and grandchildren to grow up in a world that is dominated by the likes of Russia, China, Iran. We need to stop pretending that the U.S. isn’t a force for good in the world and make it what it used to be. We need to take steps now to be ready when we get the call. Sooner or later, that call will be coming.

I haven’t mentioned Turkey, but with Recep Tayyip Erdoğan as president, I expect Turkey to join forces with Russia, China, and Iran. Erdoğan is the same kind of opportunist that Hitler and Stalin were and Vladimir Putin is.

I call Turkey, Russia, Iran, and China “the TRIC nations”. Remember that acronym. It may stick.

That said, I also don’t want my children and grandchildren to grow up in a country like the U.S. has become. We have some serious work to do, and it won’t be easy.

When President Trump said that he was taking the blows that were aimed at us, he was telling the truth. Trump’s political enemies hate us as much as they hate him, but they can’t say that publicly for fear of losing votes.

Again, is our country worth fighting a dying for? As of today, I think the answer is “YES!”, but time will tell.

“I am the good shepherd. I know My sheep and My sheep know Me — just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father — and I lay down My life for the sheep. I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also. They too will listen to My voice, and there shall be one flock and one Shepherd. The reason My Father loves Me is that I lay down My life — only to take it up again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of My own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from My Father.”

John 10: 14-18

See “His Name is Yahweh”.

We need to stop pretending that the U.S. isn’t a force for good in the world and make it what it used to be.
