Joe Biden, not Vladimir Putin, is Responsible for Rapidly Rising Inflation in the U.S.

Joe Biden is responsible for the incredibly high rate of inflation that we are experiencing in the United States right now. That’s not my opinion. It’s a fact, and it’s not even debatable.

Immediately after taking office, Biden attacked energy producers in the U.S. He did it to appease far-left members of the Democrat Party in the House and Senate who want us to accept their Green New Deal. That’s the harebrained scheme concocted by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez one weekend while she was sipping wine with her lover.

In my day, we called that “shooting the bull” or something like it. We knew that it was just talk and that it made no sense. Now, Democrats want AOC’s Green New Deal to become the law of the land, and they want you and me to pay for it. Their goal is to drive up the cost of oil and gas in the U.S. so high that we will see their plan as a good deal. Hence, the rapid rise in inflation.

What kind of president would allow a barmaid turned member of Congress to dictate policy. Only one that I can think of: Joe Biden.

Thanks to Biden, inflation in the U.S. is high, and it’s about to get a lot worse. The price of gas/gallon at the pump is the most obvious example of energy price increases. You can see it when you fill up your car with gas, and you can feel it in your wallet. But if you think the $4+/gallon for gas that we are paying now is high, just wait until summer arrives. Energy experts are telling us that we can expect to pay $6/gallon or more for gas during the peak driving season.

In South Carolina where I live, we have gas stations that are called “El Cheapo”. That’s the name on the gas stations’ signs. The company started doing business in 1978, and today there are about 150 locations in Georgia and the Carolinas. El Cheapo can expect a great summer.

Imagine paying about $6/gallon for gas at El Cheapo. In a short while, you won’t have to imagine it. You will be able to see it.

What happened?

The price of gas at the pump is based on supply and demand and nothing else. If energy producers are allowed to pump enough crude oil out of the ground to refine as much gasoline as consumers want to buy, the price of gas/gallon will reflect production costs plus a reasonable profit. But if energy producers aren’t allowed to pump enough crude oil out of the ground to refine the gas that people want to buy, a bidding war for gas starts and prices rise to the point where consumers refuse to buy it.

As high as gas prices are now, we have not reached the “no mas” point. If Joe Biden doesn’t rescind his executive orders, we will get there soon enough. This summer, the price of gasoline at the pump may be $6/gallon, but that’s just a guess. It could be a lot more.

Joe Biden caused this problem. He made it happen.

Inflation

When Biden attacked energy producers, he didn’t just drive up the price of gasoline at the pump. He drove up prices for everything, because there is an energy cost component in the price of every product and service we buy.

I’m sitting in front of my computer. It takes electricity to run it. Thanks to Biden, electricity prices are rising rapidly, because it takes energy to produce electricity. The cost of heating and cooling my home and the cost of cooking food are increasing, too. That’s because I use electricity to do all of those things.

Economists call it “the cost of living”, and the cost of living is rising rapidly thanks to Joe Biden. Economists call the rate of change in the cost of living “inflation”, and thanks to Biden, inflation is higher now than it has been in the last 40 years. It could go a lot higher. How high is anyone’s guess. At this point, I don’t want to alarm anyone, but does the word “hyper” mean anything to you. If it doesn’t, consider this word: hyperinflation.

Inflation affects every person and every firm. We have a pantry in our home where we store food and a freezer where we store meats and vegetables. The price of everything in the pantry and the freezer is rising rapidly, because the firms that produce those things are experiencing higher energy prices as well. They refer to it as “the cost of production”, and they pass along their increased production costs to you and me. That contributes to inflation.

Joe Biden caused these things to happen when he attacked energy producers as his first move in the Oval Office. As I said, he did it to appease far-left members of the Democrat Party in the House and Senate, because they are more important to him than we are.

I hate to say, “I told you so,” but I told you so.

Truth is I really don’t hate saying that. In fact, I love saying it to “liberal progressives” who are not even half as smart as they think they are.

Let me put it this way: Anyone who watches Saturday Night Live and thinks he’s getting an intellectual take on the news is a moron. Have you ever wondered why “liberal progressives” enjoy watching Saturday Night Live so much. Well, now you know.

When I use the word “moron” to describe “liberal progressives”, I’m not referring to their native intelligence. I am referring to their inability to apply their native intelligence. If you have native intelligence but can’t apply it, it’s useless.

“Useless” is a good word to describe AOC and anyone who buys into her schemes. Now, I’m referring to people like our president, Joe Biden. He’s useless, and he’s only just begun. With one year in the Oval Office under his belt, he’ll be president for 3 more years.

Biden is Trying to Shift the Blame

During his State of the Union Address and in his speeches over the last few weeks, Biden has been blaming Vladimir Putin for the rapidly rising inflation rate in the United States. That’s ridiculous.

The U.S. was energy independent when Biden took office. That was a gift from Donald Trump. With the stroke of a pen, Biden gave it away. He is not a smart man. In fact, I can honestly say that Joe Biden is as close to stupid as any person I have ever seen.

Joe Biden doesn’t just look stupid and sound stupid. He is stupid.

Banning the Importation of Russian Oil

It’s true that the vote in the House to ban the importation of Russian oil contributed to our inflation problem, because it suggested a reduction in the supply of oil after Biden had already cut the supply. Energy prices reflect the implied direction of movement in government policy. Stated another way, even whispers in Congress can move energy prices up or down. Right now, Congress is doing a lot more than whispering.

The U.S. has more proven of oil and gas reserves than we will ever need. In fact, before Biden took office, the U.S. was a net exporter of oil and gas. Now, we are a net importer of oil and gas, and we are paying the price for Biden’s decision.

Biden alone is responsible, and he did it to appease his Democrat comrades in the House and Senate. Again, that’s not a political statement. It’s a fact.

I keep repeating that Biden is responsible for this mess, because “liberal progressives” have thick skulls. The more they hear this message, the more likely it will sink in, but regrettably, hearing the message often is no guarantee that they will get it. Most “liberal progressives” are hopelessly stuck in a way of thinking that is warped and perverted. Their motto should be “To hell with the facts. I have an opinion.”

By the way, I place quotation marks around “liberal progressive”, because “liberal progressives” are neither liberal nor progressive. They have chosen those 2 words to describe themselves, since they have positive connotations. In reality, though, “liberal progressives” are narrow-minded nincompoops who are perverted and malicious to the core. They are determined to impose their warped view of reality on all of us, and they will succeed if we don’t tell them “NO!” in no uncertain terms.

For instance, “liberal progressives” want us to believe that there are an infinite number of genders, not just 2: Male and female. That’s ridiculous. And they want us to think that butchering a baby in the womb isn’t premeditated murder, because the “fetus”, not the baby, is just tissue. Anyone with a modicum of sense knows that’s not true. As I said, “liberal progressives” are not liberal or progressive.

The Mainstream Media is Beginning to Get It

Until a few days ago, the mainstream media was not willing to admit the obvious. They presented what Biden said about inflation as a fact, but now they are beginning to sing a different tune.

The media didn’t have a choice. The real facts are so obvious that they can’t be denied. We have finally reached the point where anyone who says that Biden’s attack on U.S. energy producers didn’t cause our rapidly increasing inflation will be seen as a complete idiot.

Members of the mainstream media have been shamed into telling the truth. This is the truth:

Joe Biden’s attack on U.S. energy producers caused the rate of inflation in the U.S. to skyrocket.

Congress talking about banning imports of Russian oil contributed to the problem.

Vladimir Putin didn’t do either of those things.
