“Seek Yahweh while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts and let him return to Yahweh, and He will have compassion on him. Turn to our Elohim, for He will abundantly pardon.”

Isaiah 55: 6-7

The Ukrainian People have a Right to be Free

In 2017, a poll taken in Russia revealed that the Russian people regard Joseph Stalin as the “most outstanding person” in world history.

As of 2019, Stalin was more popular in Russia than Vladimir Putin.

John Donovan wrote “7 Atrocities Soviet Dictator Joseph Stalin Committed”. It’s a short read, so I won’t summarize it here. Take a few minutes and look it over. It will help you understand what kind of person Stalin was, and it should raise questions in your mind about why the Russian people regard Stalin so highly. After reading it, you will definitely understand why the Ukrainian people don’t want to be part of Russia.

In Ukraine, Stalin is best known for the Holodomor (i.e., death by hunger) in 1932-1933. It’s also known as the Terror-Famine, the Great Famine, and the Ukrainian genocide. Stalin used the Holodomor to attack Ukraine for harboring thoughts of Ukrainian independence. During the Holodomor, about 4 million Ukrainians died from starvation.

If you have time, watch the movie Bitter Harvest (2017). It’s about the Holodomor. It’s a good movie, and it will enlighten you. Below, I have included the movie trailer. You can rent the movie on Prime Video and YouTube.

Given its history with Russia and the Soviet Union, it’s no wonder that Ukraine wants to be free from Russian domination. When the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, Ukraine quickly declared its independence from Russia and was recognized as an independent country, but Vladimir Putin can’t let Ukraine go. He still regards Ukraine as a part of the Russian Empire. That’s what his Ukraine invasion is all about.

The Ukrainian people have a right to be free. They also have a right to be treated humanely, but Putin is willing to destroy the country and to kill as many Ukrainians as necessary to force Ukraine into submission even after more than 30 years of independence.

This is not the 1930s. Stalin died in 1952. The Soviet Union ceased to exist in 1991. The world can’t sit back and watch while Putin tries to reenact the past with him playing the role of Stalin.

Vladimir Putin has to go.

For the benefit of “liberal progressives” in the United States, what we are seeing now in Russia is what communism is like in real life. It all about forcing people into submission to dictators. Although Putin said that communism has no place in a civilized world, his actions betray him.

People like Vladimir Putin make me believe that Winston Churchill and George Patton were right about Russia during the closing days of World War II. If you don’t know what that means, you need to do some research.

“I am the good shepherd. I know My sheep and My sheep know Me — just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father — and I lay down My life for the sheep. I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also. They too will listen to My voice, and there shall be one flock and one Shepherd. The reason My Father loves Me is that I lay down My life — only to take it up again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of My own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from My Father.”

John 10: 14-18
