March 4, 2022 SnyderTalk—Thanks to Biden, the U.S. Needs to Buy Russian Oil at Precisely the Wrong Time

“Seek Yahweh while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts and let him return to Yahweh, and He will have compassion on him. Turn to our Elohim, for He will abundantly pardon.”

Isaiah 55: 6-7

Thanks to Biden, the U.S. Needs to Buy Russian Oil at Precisely the Wrong Time

See “Bipartisan bill banning Russian oil sets up clash with White House”.

Joe Biden should have figured out by now that his decision to attack oil and gas production in the U.S. to appease Democrats in Congress did great harm to our country.

Thanks to that decision, the U.S. is experiencing rapidly rising energy prices and higher prices for everything else we need to live, because there is an energy component in the price of every product and service we buy. It’s called “inflation”.

About a year ago, Biden decided to attack U.S. oil and gas production. That caused inflation to take off like a rocket. Now, Americans are feeling the pain in their wallets, and the blame rests squarely on him.

The worst is yet to come.

Poor people and people living on fixed incomes (for instance, people living on Social Security) suffer most when inflation is high. Democrats say that they want to help those people, but their decisions in Congress do the exact opposite.

Suddenly, the unexpected happened. Without provocation, Russia invaded Ukraine, and Western countries had to respond. But the U.S. is in the position where we need to import Russian oil.

You’ll recall that under Donald Trump, the U.S. became energy independent for the first time in decades. In fact, under Trump, the U.S. became a net exporter of oil and gas. That was an amazing accomplishment. It gave the U.S. a huge geopolitical advantage and lots of room to maneuver, but thanks to Biden, that freedom is gone. He gave it away with the stroke of a pen and erased the U.S. energy advantage. Thanks to Biden, the U.S. is energy dependent again.

Russia needs to be taught a lesson short of war. Sanctions and the SWIFT ban help to deliver a strong message to Russia without firing a shot, but the U.S. needs to buy Russian oil. That means we are pouring money into Russia at precisely the wrong time. Biden is responsible for that.

In his State of the Union address, Biden talked about inflation and said that we need to prepare to endure some pain. He never even hinted at the fact that he caused the problem.

Now, Congress is determined to stop importing Russian oil. That’s the right thing to do, but Biden knows it will mean even more inflation.

Every American is being forced to pay a very high price for Biden’s foolish decision to go along with leftist Democrats who want to shove their “Green New Deal” down our throats no matter what.

The “Green New Deal” makes no sense. It’s juvenile at best. It was dreamed up by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez one weekend over Chablis and Brie. She’s a barmaid turned member of Congress. She sold her hairbrained scheme to Democrats in the House and Senate, and Biden went along with it to appease Democrats in Congress. That’s the quality of thinking we are getting from Joe Biden.

We need energy independence for times like these. Trump gave it to us, but Biden gave it away. Obviously, the effect of that idiotic decision on the American people is irrelevant to Biden and to Democrats in Congress. They are proud to press their foolish agenda regardless of the circumstances or the consequences.

Presidents need to be smart. They have to anticipate things and prepare for times like this. Joe Biden is not a smart man, but he’s president.

Elections matter.

“I am the good shepherd. I know My sheep and My sheep know Me — just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father — and I lay down My life for the sheep. I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also. They too will listen to My voice, and there shall be one flock and one Shepherd. The reason My Father loves Me is that I lay down My life — only to take it up again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of My own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from My Father.”

John 10: 14-18
