“Seek Yahweh while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts and let him return to Yahweh, and He will have compassion on him. Turn to our Elohim, for He will abundantly pardon.”

Isaiah 55: 6-7

The Temple Mount: Videos Like This Make Me Want to Cry

Start by watching the video below. It’s about 4½ minutes long:

Yahweh’s Name

At 2:38 in the video, they say that they see 3 letters of Yahweh’s Name written on the eastern side of the retaining wall around the Temple Mount. Below is Yahweh’s Name in Hebrew:

יהוה

Hebrew reads right to left. In Hebrew, Yahweh’s Name is spelled yod-hey-vav-hey. In Bible times, there was no “vav” in Hebrew. The letter was called “waw”.

See the website His Name is Yahweh for details.

Vegetation Growing on the Retaining Wall Around the Temple Mount

The Temple Mount was built by King Herod more than 2000 years ago. All along the retaining wall around the Temple Mount on all sides, vegetation is growing on the huge stones in the wall and at the joints between stones.

In the video, they are looking at vegetation growing on the wall, not Yahweh’s Name carved into the stones. That vegetation is not stable or permanent. It grows and changes shape over time. Eventually, parts of the vegetation will die and fall off the wall. It can take a few days or a few months for the shape of the vegetation to change completely.

What they are seeing is like looking at a cloud and watching it change shape.

The Temple Mount was a Roman Fort

Even though we call it the Temple Mount today, Yahweh’s Temple was not on the Temple Mount. Herod was a puppet king in Judea for the Romans. He built the Temple Mount for his Roman patron, Marcus Antonius, commonly known in English as Marc Antony. The fort was called Antonia Fortress.

Yahweh’s Temple was in the City of David south of the Temple Mount. That fact is presented clearly in the Bible.

See “Yahweh’s Temple was not on the Temple Mount”.

This Makes Me Want to Cry

At 1:07 in the video, they talk about the fact that Jewish people are not supposed to say “Yahweh”. That edict does not come from the Bible. It’s part of Jewish tradition, a.k.a. the Oral Law and Halacha.

Jewish traditions in Judaism prohibit anyone except people in the priestly class from saying Yahweh’s Name. They tell us that Yahweh’s Name is too sacred for ordinary Jewish people to say. The penalty for saying Yahweh’s Name without authority is death. See Sanhedrin 7: 5.

However, in the Bible, Yahweh commanded us to declare His Name to the world. He told us to tell the world that there is One Elohim whose Name is Yahweh.

It should interest you to know that one of the Messiah’s missions on Earth was to restore the use of Yahweh’s Name. In fact, He was convicted in the Sanhedrin and sentenced to death for blasphemy or for simply saying “Yahweh”:

Then the high priest tore his robes and said, “He has blasphemed! What further need do we have of witnesses? Behold, you have now heard the blasphemy. What do you think?”

“He is worthy of death,” they answered. (Matthew 26: 65-66)

Take a Look at These Verses

Jeremiah 16: 22

“Therefore behold, I am going to make them know — This time I will make them know My power and My might; And they shall know that My Name is Yahweh.”

Matthew 23: 37-39

“Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing. Look, your house is left to you desolate. For I tell you, you will not see Me again until you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the Name of Yahweh.’”

Anyone who doesn’t understand the importance of Yahweh’s Name doesn’t really know the Bible. That includes preachers.

Anyone who knows Yahweh’s Name and refuses to declare it is being disobedient. In other words, it’s a sin not to declare Yahweh’s Name. That’s what Yahweh said.

“I am the good shepherd. I know My sheep and My sheep know Me — just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father — and I lay down My life for the sheep. I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also. They too will listen to My voice, and there shall be one flock and one Shepherd. The reason My Father loves Me is that I lay down My life — only to take it up again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of My own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from My Father.”

John 10: 14-18
