“Seek Yahweh while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts and let him return to Yahweh, and He will have compassion on him. Turn to our Elohim, for He will abundantly pardon.”

Isaiah 55: 6-7

The Taliban’s Takeover in Afghanistan Marks a Major Turning Point in World History

The whole world will regret the day that Joe Biden allowed the Taliban to take control in Afghanistan.

In February 1979, radical Islamists took control in Iran. I was a Ph.D. student at that time. One of my professors, Jorge Mendoza, told me that the takeover of Iran by radical Islamists would mark a turning point in world history. He was right. Jimmy Carter was president at the time. Iran was one of his epic failures. Biden’s failure in Afghanistan will end up making Jimmy Carter look like a visionary, something that he clearly wasn’t and still isn’t.

The takeover of Afghanistan by the Taliban marks another major turning point in world history. Many pieces are in play at this moment. Turkey, Russia, Iran, and China are striving to achieve world domination, not just regional hegemony. Bringing Afghanistan into their orbit can help them do it.

In the days to come, the Israeli people will begin to realize that Ariel Sharon’s decision in 2005 to allow Hamas to take control in Gaza was a mistake of gargantuan proportions and that the fall of Afghanistan will be the catalyst behind troubles ahead that are barely imaginable. They will also understand that Benyamin Netanyahu’s decision in 2018 to allow China to run the Port of Haifa was a critical strategic blunder. Both of those decisions will bring about tragic consequences for the Israeli people.

At this time, I am prepared to say one thing: Our troubles are just beginning. I know where we will end up, but I don’t know all the particulars about how we will get there.

Global wars are not like regional wars, because in global wars, everything is at stake. When I say “everything”, I mean everything. Keep in mind that nuclear weapons ended World War II. What do you think would have happened during World War II if nuclear weapons had been available at the beginning of the war?

A Word of Advice

If you love your family, hold on to Yahweh and to your guns and ammunition.

People who love Yahweh will become targets. It’s happening already, but the attacks will pick up a head of steam as we move ahead.

When the Lamb broke the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of Elohim, and because of the testimony which they had maintained. They cried out with a loud voice, saying, “How long, O Yahweh, holy and true, will You refrain from judging and avenging our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” And there was given to each of them a white robe, and they were told that they should rest for a little while longer — until the number of their fellow servants and their brethren who were to be killed even as they had been, would be completed also. (Revelation 6: 9-11)

How Bad Will It Get?

So, how bad will it get? The Messiah answered that question:

“For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will. Unless those days had been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.” (Matthew 24: 21-22)

Satan has Nothing to Lose

Satan will pull out all the stops, because he has nothing to lose:

“Finally, be strong in Yahweh and in His mighty power. Put on all of Elohim’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against the strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6: 10-12)

Remember that Herod murdered every male child in Bethlehem under 2 years of age when he learned that the Messiah had been born. Satan inspired Herod to do that in an attempt to delay his inevitable fate. He knows he can’t win, so he will hold nothing back.

Our Personal Destinies are Secure, but…

No matter what happens to our physical bodies, Yahweh will take care of His children’s eternal destinies. David captured essence of that understanding in Psalm 23. Yahweh made promises. He will never renege on any of them “for His Name’s sake”:

Yahweh is my shepherd. I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His Name’s sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me. Your rod and Your staff comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You have anointed my head with oil. My cup overflows.

Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of Yahweh forever. (Psalm 23)

That means our personal destinies are secure. The Messiah made it perfectly clear:

“And this is the will of Elohim, that I should not lose even one of all those He has given Me, but that I should raise them up at the last day.” (John 6: 39)

“The last day” is the very end. It’s the final resurrection. Some of us will suffer greatly before that day arrives and we go to be with Him. If I said that none of us will experience pain and suffering and that none of Yahweh’s children will die during the final war, it would be a lie.

A Final Word

I think most people who are alive today will witness “the abomination of desolation which was spoken of through the prophet Daniel [Daniel 11: 31], standing in the holy place”. (Matthew 24: 15)

“The holy place” is Yahweh’s Temple. I urge you to read “Yahweh’s Temple was not on the Temple Mount”. I’ll have more to say about this later.

“I am the good shepherd. I know My sheep and My sheep know Me — just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father — and I lay down My life for the sheep. I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also. They too will listen to My voice, and there shall be one flock and one Shepherd. The reason My Father loves Me is that I lay down My life — only to take it up again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of My own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from My Father.”

John 10: 14-18
