“Seek Yahweh while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts and let him return to Yahweh, and He will have compassion on him. Turn to our Elohim, for He will abundantly pardon.”

Isaiah 55: 6-7

Taking Sides Against Israel is Betraying Yahweh

A lot of people who claim to be Christians have taken sides against Israel. They have never seen the country and they have no plans to go there, but they are quick to say that Israel is an apartheid state.

Since they think Israel is an apartheid state, they have no problem supporting BDS — the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions Movement against Israel. For most of them, it’s a form of virtue signaling. It shows that they have joined the ranks of the “enlightened masses”.

They also support the Palestinian cause, as though they know what it is. It’s another form of virtue signaling.

In truth, they have taken Satan’s bait. If they stay the course, they will not enjoy their One-on-one encounter with Yahweh, because they will hear Him say,

“I never knew you.”

Fact 1

Israel is not an apartheid state.

Fact 2

The goal of the BDS movement is destroy Israel by undermining Israel’s economy.

Fact 3

The Palestinian cause is a blatant attempt to destroy Israel. The Palestinian motto is “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free”. From the river (the Jordan River) to the sea (the Mediterranean Sea) includes every square inch of land that is Israel today. Palestinians demand ownership of everything that is Israel.

Fact 4

Taking sides against Israel is taking sides against Yahweh. Yahweh promised the land that we call Israel to Abraham’s descendants through Isaac and Jacob, and He promised that He would bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel. Thus, taking sides against Israel is betraying of Yahweh, and there will be consequences for those who do it.

Separating the Wheat from the Chaff

Yahweh is separating the wheat from the chaff. The most visible example of this is allowing people to self-select. True believers will never betray Yahweh:

  • They won’t make the absurd claim that Israel is an apartheid state, because it isn’t.
  • They won’t support BDS, because they know what Satan is trying to accomplish.
  • They won’t pretend that the Palestinian cause is anything except an attempt by malcontented Arabs to take by political pressure land that they have not been able to take by war since the modern State of Israel came into existence in 1948.

“Peace for us means the destruction of Israel. We are preparing for an all-out war, a war which will last for generations.” (Yasser Arafat, an Egyptian and PLO Founder)

Yahweh’s betrayers may think their sins are justifiable because the things they support are so popular with large numbers of people, but they are wrong. By taking sides with Yahweh’s enemies, they are openly declaring that they are the chaff referred to by the Messiah. The consequence is eternal separation from Him.

The New Testament gives us a great example of betrayal. His name is Judas Iscariot. He was one of the Messiah’s disciples. Judas was with Him during His entire earthly ministry. He witnessed the Messiah performing miracles including healing the sick, giving sight to the blind, cleansing leapers, and raising the dead to name just a few. Even so, shortly after the Messiah’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem, Judas betrayed Him to the Pharisees and scribes who wanted to kill Him. You will recall that Judas left the Last Supper early to complete his mission.

When the Messiah was taken prisoner and His brutalization and crucifixion were foregone conclusions, Judas went to the Sanhedrin and said, “I have sinned, for I have betrayed innocent blood.”

It was too late. Judas’ role in history is fixed. Nothing can change what he did. I am not the Judge, but I don’t think Yahweh allowed Judas to repent. In that sense, he is like Balaam who sought to betray the Children of Israel for cash while they were in the wilderness. He wasn’t allowed to repent, either.

This is not a trivial matter. Betraying Yahweh is a serious offense, and it’s something that true believers won’t do. Since I am not the Judge, I can’t say who Yahweh will save and who He will condemn to hell, but I can say this: Yahweh is Israel’s Protector. He will fulfill every promise He made, and anyone who stands in His way will suffer the consequences.

As I said, people who betray Israel are betraying Yahweh. In the process, they are putting their eternal destinies on the line. That’s a huge gamble, because the stakes are very high. Don’t take that chance and possibly seal your fate. The cost of losing your bet could easily be eternity in hell. That’s a high price to pay. You need to know what you are putting at risk.

Some people reading this may be thinking, I’ve done those things, but I never told anyone. Am I safe?

The answer is NO! You are not safe. Yahweh knows everyone’s heart, and He judges the heart. Where Yahweh is concerned, there are no secrets. Remember what the Messiah said:

“But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” (Matthew 5: 28)

The same principle applies where betraying Israel is concerned. If you harbor negative thoughts and attitudes about Israel, you are guilty, and in this instance you are guilty of betraying your Creator. Israel is Yahweh’s problem, not yours and mine. He will deal with Israel. We must support her. There is no second option. As David said about King Saul, “I will not raise my hand against Yahweh’s anointed.” When David said that, he had already been designated by Yahweh as Israel’s king. That was 15 years before he became King of Israel.

“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (Matthew 7: 13-14)

“I am the good shepherd. I know My sheep and My sheep know Me — just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father — and I lay down My life for the sheep. I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also. They too will listen to My voice, and there shall be one flock and one Shepherd. The reason My Father loves Me is that I lay down My life — only to take it up again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of My own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from My Father.”

John 10: 14-18
