I Won’t Be Bushwhacked Again

I voted for George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush twice each.  Together, they let me down 3 times.  HW was defeated by Bill Clinton in 1992.

I’ve been bushwhacked three times by two Bush presidents.  I won’t be bushwhacked again.

Both former Bush presidents have said that they will not endorse Donald Trump, the soon-to-be GOP nominee.  Reports suggest that they won’t even vote in the general election.  Laura Bush has indicated that she may vote for Hillary Clinton instead of Trump.

What did Trump do to enrage the Bush clan?

He trounced Jeb repeatedly in Republican primaries.  That’s the long and short of it.

It was Jeb’s turn to be president.  Trump stole the nomination from him, or so the former Bush presidents and their wives think.

Truth is Trump didn’t steal the GOP nomination.  The American people handed it to him and begged him to take it.  They rejected Jeb the same way they ended up rejecting both former Bush presidents.

That’s why the Bush clan sees Donald Trump as Public Enemy Number One.  Their hatred for Trump reminds me of the hatred that so many Americans have for the former Bush presidents.

Hatred is a strong word.  Sometimes it’s accurate.  In this instance, it is the right word to use.

As a nation, we are sick and tired of political dynasties.  We have had enough of politics as usual.  The Bush clan represents the worst of both as did the Kennedys and, now, the Clintons.

Hillary Clinton doesn’t know how to use a smartphone correctly, but she wants to be Commander-in-Chief.  I wish I was just joking.

The Kennedy, Bush, and Clinton clans seem to think that the presidency is a family business that they can pass on to their relatives.  The American people don’t buy it.

Albert Einstein said, and I’m paraphrasing, “The quality of thinking that got us here won’t get us out of here.”

The two former Bush presidents had 12 years collectively to fix the mess this country is in.  Collectively, they did squat.  They failed miserably.

Do we need another Bush president, or did we learn our lesson?

I think we learned our lesson the hard way.  Repeating our mistakes is not the solution.

Hillary Clinton is a self-indulgent disaster waiting to happen.  If you think Benghazi and the Russia “reset” were bad, what do you think she would do as president?

I’ll say this for Donald Trump: he is not a career politician.  No one handed him a pathway to the White House.  He earned it.

The three videos below are a few of the things that I remember most about the Bush duo:

I don’t have a video of the thing that bothers me most about W. He forced Ariel Sharon to unilaterally withdraw from the Gaza Strip in 2005. The Israeli people are still suffering because of that idiotic move on W’s part.

I also don’t have a video of W signing the Medicare Part D prescription drug plan without paying for it.  What W did to the U.S. national debt is just beginning to materialize.  W makes HW’s “read my lips” pledge look like a minor offense.

Conclusion

Jeb Bush is not the GOP nominee.  He’s a footnote in the 2016 presidential campaign, and giving him a footnote is generous.

The GOP establishment supported Jeb to the hilt.  He spent more than $100 million dollars and had almost nothing to show for it.  If he couldn’t win support from the GOP masses with all that money and the support of GOP big shots, what do the former Bush presidents think would have happened to him in a general election?

That’s not Trump’s fault.  Jeb and the GOP establishment earned that result.

See “Paul Ryan: ‘I’m just not ready’ to back Donald Trump”.

Let’s make it simple so political wannabes and has-beens can understand.  Either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton will be the next president.  Which one (I want to emphasize the word “one”) should it be?

I hate to sound so condescending, but how do you respond to a statement like the one Paul Ryan made?  It made him sound like a spoiled child who didn’t get his way.

Yahweh gave Ryan a brain.  He should use it.  The same is true for the Bush clan.

I’m voting for Donald Trump, and I’m praying for him, too.  He’ll need all the help he can get thanks to W and Obama.

As a nation, we need Yahweh’s help now as badly as we have ever needed it.  Trump is going to win the general election and become the next president.  I hope he’s a praying man.  If he’s not, he needs to get started right away.

By the way, the Two-State Solution is HW’s doing.  W’s forced Gaza pullout was part of the Two-State Solution.  If they think Yahweh likes those ideas, they are deluded.

“The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.” (John 17: 22-24)
