Jeremiah 31: 31-33—“‘Behold, days are coming,’ declares Yahweh, ‘when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them,’ declares Yahweh. ‘But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,’ declares Yahweh, ‘I will put my Law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.’”
Daniel 9: 26—“Then after the sixty-two weeks the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing, and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end will come with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined.”
The Messiah died on the tree (i.e., He was “cut off”) 40 years before the Romans destroyed the Temple of Yahweh in 70 A.D. The “desolations” Daniel mentioned refer to End of Days judgments that are yet to occur. Jesus referred to this as “the abomination of desolation.”

Commentary
“I will feed your oppressors with their own flesh, and they will become drunk with their own blood as with sweet wine; and all flesh will know that I, Yahweh, am your Savior and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.” Isaiah 49: 26
Israel has a Protector, Defender, Redeemer, and Savior. His Name is Yahweh. As I read this verse, and many more like it, I wonder about Israel’s enemies. Who inspires them? What motivates their hatred of Jews and Israel? What is the source of their delusion? I think they are putty in Satan’s hands. You can’t read the Bible, believe what it says, and not realize that Satan is Yahweh’s enemy. He can’t harm Yahweh so he is doing his best to interfere with Yahweh’s promises…especially those regarding Israel and Jewish people. Will he succeed? No. Will he try? You bet. What can you do? Pray, read the Bible, and get involved. We are living in perilous times. It’s certainly not the right time to contemplate your navel.
