I Don’t Know for Sure what Civil Wars Look Like in the Beginning
I didn’t write most of the material in this SnyderTalk editorial. Others did, and I agree with them. There is no reason for me to summarize. Read what they said, and see for yourself.
Item #1: I Don’t Know Who Wrote It
TRUMP’S WIFE, MELANIA, WAS ONCE ASKED by Greta Van Susteren what bothers her husband the most. Her answer was as simple as it was profound. Melania said that Donald could not stand incompetence.
It was a profound statement because all those who desperately wanted to maintain the status quo found Donald Trump to be exceedingly threatening to them. Whether it was the “Forward” march to socialism/communism crowd or even those establishment Republicans who sat in their D.C. public office, yet really live on K-street, sucking off of and enriching themselves on lobbyist money. They all hated Trump for the same reason, they hated Trump’s threat to their self-indulgent dreams of money and power! They hated that he wasn’t a “status quo Joe” type.
Trump, not unlike a certain Jewish carpenter from ancient times, was the same man seen but seen completely differently by different crowds. In biblical days, those who held the reins of power over the masses, the Pharisees, immediately perceived Him as the threat of the day, even greater than the oppressing Roman rulers. They could at least co-join in power sharing with the Romans, to the extent that Rome was willing to play along by letting out their leash, as was needed in order to win their cooperation. Jesus Christ had to go, by whatever means necessary and that swamp accomplished that task…or so they thought.
Likewise, Trump was perceived as the threat to the power structure of the D.C. establishment, and still is. The Donald came to conquer but not in his own name but in the name of the oppressed, the ones not on the take from K-street money. Keep in mind that never once did any part of the swamp doubt that any and all swamp players, no matter of what stripe, were in Trump’s crosshairs, because they were in our crosshairs first. We the people loathe the permanent political establishment class that seeks to suck us dry by making us slaves, in order to fuel their lust for power and money. Trump had to be destroyed because he represented working middle class Americans values, which clearly made it an “us or him” situation for the swamp.
So, to the masses, we the ones who scrap every day to make a living, we the ones who pay the bills for all the freebies that both sides of the legislative aisle dream up in order to garner the money that buys the votes to keep them in power, we the people who still believe in freedom via honest representation in D.C. played out in a Republic style of government, just as the framers intended, Trump was their hero…and he still is!
Trump never changed the play board when he came into office. All President Trump did was shine the spotlight on it, as the mainstream news media swamp had as its intent, to slowly dim the lights over time until neither side could be distinguished anymore by we the people. We would slowly have all our power subsumed until we became the peasants and our collective (D) and (R) lord and masters in D.C. would dictate our lives to us from on high on Capitol hill.
Trump never turned off that spotlight. We the people know this. We are woke. Trump is not going away…and neither are we. The swamp players are now not just facing Donald Trump, they are facing 75 million plus one. Trump invited us to the dance and we are not leaving without him! That is why razor wire fencing now surrounds the Capitol by swamp commander orders. All can clearly see the playing board now. There is no more darkness and shadow. It is we the people or the swamp. They know it. We know it…and they know that we know it! Game on!
Item #2: Caroline Glick
I discuss this clip [the video clip below] in my article in Israel Hayom ישראל היום that comes out tomorrow. [See “One week in progressive America”.] But I want to just post it here all the same. In this clip, Obama’s ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro accuses Jews who oppose the appointments of virulent Israel haters, terror supporters and BDS activists to senior administration positions of being racists and bigoted. Tamara Coffman Wittes says a bunch of nonsense, comparing opposition to a Jewish woman who supported AIPAC to opposition to Mihar Bitar, who was a BDS leader and wrote his thesis on the so-called Nakba — that is, the disaster which was Israel’s founding.
But Shapiro’s allegation is the one that I haven’t been able to get out of my head since I watched him. Here is this man, who claims to be the voice of pro-Israel progressives saying that reasoned, substantive opposition to the appointments of Jew haters, (sorry, only Jews who support Israel or are in fact Israelis), is racism. This is not a mere misstatement. Watch him. His voice is filled with moralistic indignation — How dare you oppose Reema Dodin’s appointment? So what if she justified suicide bombings and organized anti-Israel demonstrations at Berkeley. She’s an Arab American and you’re a racist.
How dare you oppose Hadi Amr’s appointment? Sure he justified terrorism against Israel. But he is also an Arab American. So you’re a racist.
In other words, Shapiro is saying that Jews cannot fight anti-Semitism Fighting anti-Jewish bigotry is a racist act. The mind reels when you consider the implications for American Jewry that a man who the progressive Jews look at as a leader says this.
Obviously, there is more to say. But it’s late. And you should watch this for yourself. When you do, also consider something else. Shapiro was expected to get a senior appointment. To date, he’s got nothing and he’s shilling for Arab Jew haters who already got their appointments. Why do you think he’s doing that? And what does it say about the administration that the Jew haters got the first appointments and Shapiro is standing outside looking in, and defending them from his fellow Jews?

I think it’s fair to say that at least 75 million Americans have had enough of business as usual. The game is over. No more mister nice guy. The gloves are off.
Enough clichés, even though all of them are apropos.
I don’t know for sure what civil wars look like in the beginning, but I think they look a lot like what we are witnessing right now.
Paraphrasing Lyndon Johnson, the American people are hard as hell to start but impossible to stop.
