2 Stories About Joe Biden that Really Bother Me
Over the last few months, I have mentioned these 2 stories in SnyderTalk editorials as a part of my effort to prove that the Joe Biden we hear about in the media is not the real Joe Biden. Those editorials didn’t focus on these 2 stories exclusively. In those editorials, these stories were lumped together with other information that reveals an accurate and unflattering picture of the Democrat Party’s nominee for President of the United States.
In this editorial, I want to focus on the 2 stories, because any man who would do these things is not fit to be president. When you read them, I think you will agree with me.
Story Number 1: Joe and Jill Biden
The story of Joe Biden’s fairly tale romance with his wife Jill is fiction. It was created to cast a positive light on the couple. The real story reveals Joe’s and Jill’s true character.
Jill Biden married her first husband, Bill Stevenson, in 1970 when she was 18-years-old. They were divorced in 1975, and Jill married Joe Biden in 1977.
Bill said that he introduced Jill to Joe while Biden was running for the Senate in 1972. According to Bill, “I threw a fundraiser for him [Joe] in August [1972], raised between $2,500 and $3,000…I introduced Joe to Jill in 1972. Right before the election, in ’72…Jill, Joe, Neilia [Joe’s first wife] and I were in his kitchen. How do you forget that?”
Neilia Biden died in an automobile accident in December 1972. That’s my second story.
This is how Bill Stevenson explains what happened:
Stevenson said he first suspected Biden and Jill were having an affair in August 1974. He was then 26, Jill was 23 and Joe was 31.
Bruce Springsteen was due to play at Stevenson’s venue, The Stone Balloon, and Stevenson had to go to northern New Jersey to pay him in advance.
‘He told the show he asked Jill to go with him and she said no — something he vividly remembers.
‘She said Joe asked me to keep an eye on the boys,’ he said. ‘I thought, hmm…’
In October, he said he was certain Jill was having an affair.
Their car, a brown Corvette, was involved in a crash in May, he discovered, and, surprised, he asked the man who informed him about the crash for details.
‘He looks at me and says oh, she wasn’t driving.
‘I said, her beloved Corvette, she wasn’t driving? He said, no, Senator Biden was driving.’
Stevenson said he then confronted Jill, and asked her if she was having an affair with Biden.
‘She didn’t say anything – she just looked at me,’ he recalled.
‘I said you have to go. You have to get your own place.’
Stevenson and Jill divorced in May 1975.
Jill and Joe say that they did not meet until March 1975, when the divorce was nearly finalized.
‘It’s years ago, but guess what – it’s so current right now. Because he is picking on people about character,’ said Stevenson.
Bill summed it up this way: “I was betrayed by the Bidens [Joe and Jill]. Joe was my friend; Jill was my wife.”
The bottom line: Joe and Jill Biden started seeing each other romantically while Bill and Jill were husband and wife. Joe Biden is a homewrecker.
Story Number 2: Neilia Biden’s Automobile Accident
It is true that Joe Biden’s first wife, Neilia, was killed in an automobile accident along with the Biden’s 1-year-old daughter Naomi, but the story Joe has told isn’t accurate. Joe talks about Neilia’s car having been hit by a drunk truck driver who “drank his lunch instead of eating his lunch”.
That’s total fabrication. There is no evidence that the truck driver had been drinking, but that charge made by Joe Biden has done irreparable harm to the driver of the truck and his family. See “1972 crash still haunts driver’s family”:
Since his vice presidential nomination, Joe Biden’s 2007 statement that a “guy who allegedly … drank his lunch” and drove the truck that struck and killed his first wife and daughter has gained national media traction.
Alcohol didn’t play a role in the 1972 crash, investigators found. But as recently as last week, the syndicated TV show Inside Edition aired a clip from 2001 of Biden describing the accident to an audience at the University of Delaware and saying the truck driver “stopped to drink instead of drive.”
The senator’s statements don’t jibe with news and law enforcement reports from the time, which cleared driver Curtis C. Dunn, who died in 1999, of wrongdoing.
“To see it coming from [Biden’s] mouth, I just burst into tears,” Dunn’s daughter, Glasgow resident Pamela Hamill, 44, said Wednesday. “My dad was always there for us. Now we feel like we should be there for him because he’s not here to defend himself.”
Biden spokesman David Wade said Wednesday that the senator “fully accepts the Dunn family’s word that these rumors were false.”
It’s unclear who first suggested alcohol was a factor in the crash, but since Barack Obama tapped Biden to be his running mate on Aug. 23, The New York Times, National Public Radio and The Economist have run stories that characterized Dunn as a drunken driver.
“The rumor about alcohol being involved by either party, especially the truck driver, is incorrect,” said Jerome O. Herlihy, a Delaware Superior Court judge who was chief deputy attorney general and worked with crash investigators in 1972.
“If it were some part of a cause of the accident, there would have been a charge, simply because if you’re driving under the influence and kill someone in the process — whether it’s the wife of a U.S. senator or anybody else — there’s going to be a charge,” he said.
Herlihy said investigators discussed several possible causes for the crash, including that Biden’s first wife, Neilia, turned her head and didn’t see the oncoming truck as she exited the intersection of Limestone and Valley roads on Dec. 18, 1972.
Neither Biden’s book nor his campaign Web site directly addresses the alcohol issue, but the senator has done so publicly on at least two occasions.

Two days after the crash, Herlihy, a neighbor of the Bidens in the late 1960s who still considers the senator “a friend,” told the paper that there was no evidence that Dunn “was speeding, drinking or driving a truck with faulty brakes.” No criminal charges related to the crash were ever filed against Dunn, who lived in North East, Md. Hamill, one of seven children, was 8 years old at the time of the accident. She remembers her father watching news reports of the crash while wearing a sling to support a shoulder injury he suffered in the accident.
Joe Biden has used Neilia’s and Naomi’s deaths on the campaign trail over decades of time to garner sympathy and support. He still does it today for the same reasons. The reality is that it was just a horrific accident in which 2 people were killed.
Joe made up the part of the story about a drunk driver being to blame for the accident, because it embellishes the story and elicits a sympathetic response from listeners. The emotional cost to the family of the man who drove the truck isn’t even an afterthought for Joe.
As we have learned over almost five decades of listening to Joe delivering campaign speeches, he will say just about anything if he thinks it can help him win votes. At this point, his lies have become the stuff of legend. For Joe Biden, lying is as natural as breathing.
Joe’s Activities in Ukraine and China Prove that He is Corrupt to the Bone
Joe Biden’s adventures in Ukraine and China are becoming the stuff of legend, too. They are showing us that Joe will do just about anything to increase his personal wealth.
That story is unfolding now. Before Election Day, I suspect that the establishment media will have to cover it even if they don’t want to. At this point, they are not covering it.
