“Seek Yahweh while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts and let him return to Yahweh, and He will have compassion on him. Turn to our Elohim, for He will abundantly pardon.”

Separating the Wheat from the Chaff: The Great Shaking

Trying to make sense of what is taking place all around us is difficult.  Logic and reason seem not to apply anymore.

When I was a boy, no one in his right mind would have believed that abortion on demand would be legal in the United States, but it happened in the blink of an eye in 1973.  All it took was a Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade.

Since then, more than 60 million unborn babies have been butchered in their mother’s wombs.  Today, Ralph Northam, the Democrat Governor of Virginia, advocates infanticide as an option for mothers who missed the opportunity to murder their babies before they were born.  He’s a pediatric neurologist.  He knows better.

How do you make sense of that?

The George Floyd Riots

When George Floyd, a black man, was murdered by a white Minneapolis police officer, peaceful protests broke out in major cities all over the country.  As quickly as the protests started, they were hijacked by angry mobs, and all hell broke loose.

We are witnessing indiscriminate killing of police officers, burning buildings, looting on a grand scale, and other atrocities.  Those crimes are being justified by people who should know better, too.  Democrat politicians are fanning the flames, and their accomplices in the media are talking about the criminals as though they are heros.

See “Poll: 58% of Young, College-Educated Americans Say Riots Are Justified”:

A new poll has revealed that young and college-educated Americans are more likely to support the recent riots that have taken place in major cities around the nation. 58 percent of respondents with a four-year degree agreed that riots are “fully or partially justified,” including such acts as burning a police station down.

According to a report by Campus Reform, young, college-educated Americans are more likely to support the rioting and looting that has occurred over the past two weeks.

That doesn’t make any sense.  Something very strange is happening.

The World has Changed, and Not for the Good

See “The great threat to America — and to American Jewry”:

Scattered among the thousands of cellphone videos depicting looting and destruction in the streets of America’s greatest cities are clips of a different sort. In these short videos, we see throngs of white people on their knees, bowing before black people and asking for forgiveness for their “white privilege” and the “structural racism” in the deplorable, irredeemable United States of America.

Earlier this week, presumptive Democratic presidential nominee former vice president Joe Biden symbolically embraced these genuflecting denunciations of “white privilege” as the official position of the Democratic Party. Biden had himself photographed on bended knee with a group of African Americans standing behind him during a visit to a church in Wilmington, Delaware.

These videos point to a socio-political phenomenon that sparked the riots throughout the country following George Floyd’s brutal death at the hands of a Minneapolis police officer. They also make clear the reason that the liberal media in the U.S. continues to back the protests despite the fact that from the outset they have involved wide-scale violence, destruction and looting.

Contrary to the narrative being pushed by the media and America’s elites, the riots are not a consequence of increased police brutality towards African Americans. As Heather McDonald documented this week in the Wall Street Journal, over the past several years, police violence against black people has decreased significantly.

The violence we are seeing is a result of the steep radicalization of progressive white Americans. Biden gave voice to this radicalization last summer when, during a campaign appearance in Iowa he said, “We choose truth over facts.”

Democrats and their media accomplices are portraying President Trump as an evil man who is bent on the destruction of America.  They are trying to pin the blame for George Floyd’s murder on him.  They hope the American people will look past the fact that Floyd was murdered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a Democrat-run city in a Democrat-run state.

It won’t work. Democrats were in charge, and the American people know it.

Truth is Democrats are evil.  They have been trying to destroy Donald Trump’s presidency since before he was inaugurated.  Nothing they have done has worked.

Democrats have used every dirty trick in the book.  They and their media mouthpieces have hyped the Russia collusion hoax, the impeachment charade, the Covid-19 pandemic, and now George Floyd’s senseless murder in hopes of preventing the president from accomplishing anything and defeating him in the 2020 presidential election.  Everything they have tried has boomeranged and hit them in the face.  This, too, shall fail.

Donald Trump has a Protector.  He is Yahweh’s man for a time like this.  That’s why he will prevail.

These Aren’t Normal Times

In Matthew 24, the Messiah talked about His return and “the end of the age”:

1 Y’shua left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. 2 “Do you see all these things?” He asked. “Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.”

3 As Y’shua was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

4 Y’shua answered:

“Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.

9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

15 “So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’a spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let no one on the housetop go down to take anything out of the house. 18 Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak. 19 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! 20 Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again.

22 “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. 23 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. 24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time.

26 “So if anyone tells you, ‘There He is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here He is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 27 For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 28 Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.”

29 “Immediately after the distress of those days ‘the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’b  30 Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earthc will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.d  31 And He will send His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.”

32 “Now learn this lesson from the fig tree:

As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. 33 Even so, when you see all these things, you know that ite is near, right at the door. 34 Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.”

36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,f but only the Father. 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.”

42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect Him.

45 “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the Master has put in charge of the servants in His household to give them their food at the proper time? 46 It will be good for that servant whose Master finds him doing so when he returns. 47 Truly I tell you, He will put him in charge of all His possessions. 48 But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My Master is staying away a long time,’ 49 and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. 50 The Master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect Him and at an hour he is not aware of. 51 He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

The Shaking has Begun

The time of the end will be a great shaking.  Yahweh is separating the wheat from the chaff.   Only the faithful will remain.  The others will be assigned to the place where there is “weeping and gnashing of teeth”.  That’s hell, and they will be there for eternity.

The human mind has a difficult time grappling with the notion of eternity, but think about it anyway.  It never ends.  It is forever.

If that doesn’t send a chill down your spine, nothing will.

I don’t know when the end of the age will come.  Neither does anyone else.  But when it comes, there will be hell to pay.

This is how C.S. Lewis described it in Mere Christianity:

“God will invade. But I wonder whether people who ask God to interfere openly and directly in our world quite realise what it will be like when He does. When that happens, it is the end of the world. When the author walks on to the stage the play is over. God is going to invade, all right: but what is the good of saying you are on His side then, when you see the whole natural universe melting away like a dream and something else – something it never entered your head to conceive – comes crashing in; something so beautiful to some of us and so terrible to others that none of us will have any choice left? For this time it will God without disguise; something so overwhelming that it will strike either irresistible love or irresistible horror into every creature. It will be too late then to choose your side. There is no use saying you choose to lie down when it has become impossible to stand up. That will not be the time for choosing; it will be the time when we discover which side we really have chosen, whether we realised it before or not. Now, today, this moment, is our chance to choose the right side. God is holding back to give us that chance. It will not last forever. We must take it or leave it.”

Those who stand firm to the end will be saved.  Others won’t.  That’s what the Messiah said.  He is separating the wheat from the chaff.

“I pray…that they may all be one, even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one. I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me and loved them, even as You have loved Me. Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.” (John 17: 21-24)
