Democrats are a Disgrace to the Nation and to the Human Race

Yesterday afternoon, President Trump and the team of experts he assembled to deal with the COVID-19 threat held a press conference to inform the American people about the latest developments. Following their presentations, the media asked questions.

One question from the press in particular caught my attention. The reporter asked the president if an “undocumented immigrant” went in for testing, would he or she need to fear deportation?

The Hill published an article about it. See “Trump says undocumented immigrants can get tested for coronavirus without fear of deportation”:

“The answer is yes, we will do those tests,” Trump said during a White House briefing.

“You could say illegal alien, you could say illegal immigrant, you could say whatever you want to use your definition of what you’re talking about… Yes we will test that person,” he continued. “Because I think it’s important we test that person, and we don’t want to send that person back into wherever we’re going to be sending that person.”

The President’s Response

The reporter’s words didn’t tell the whole story. His nonverbals when he asked the question communicated a sense of desperation. His primary concern was sending “undocumented immigrants” back to where they came from. Coronavirus was almost beside the point. That was clear.

The president’s response was perfect. In essence, he said that we want to test anyone with COVID-19 symptoms, because we don’t want to send anyone home with the disease. That was compassionate and determined. We will do our best to help anyone with the disease, but we are determined to send illegal immigrants home once this thing is over.

King Solomon couldn’t have said it any better.

Democrats are Playing Political Games

See “Proposed trillion-dollar coronavirus stimulus bill blocked by Senate Democrats”:

The trillion-dollar coronavirus stimulus package that would help offset the devastating economic effects of the virus hit a roadblock Sunday night as Democrats blocked a procedural vote on the measure.

They argued the proposed aid package favored corporations over workers and health care providers, sending Republicans back to the negotiating table.

COVID-19 is a serious threat to our nation’s economy. If our elected officials don’t get their act together in a hurry, we may be heading into a depression.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi are busy playing political games while President Trump and his team are working tirelessly to deal with the problem. The Democrats’ argument that the stimulus package favors corporations over workers and healthcare providers is pure nonsense.

Businesses need help to stay afloat. They have been ordered to shut down. If they become insolvent as a result of that order, there will be no jobs for workers when this thing is over. Nothing could be worse for workers than having no jobs to return to.

President Trump made clear that keeping healthcare workers safe is essential. Anyone in the healthcare business knows that the nature of their work and the places where they work make them more susceptible to disease than others. It goes with the territory. Thankfully, healthcare workers know how to work in a compromised environment. They do it every day.

That doesn’t mean we should take anything for granted. Healthcare providers need the best protection we have, and they will get it, but we can’t reduce their risk to zero. That’s not possible.

What are Democrats really up to?

Democrats are trying to sneak their political agenda into the stimulus package. For instance, they want funding for solar energy included in the package. That has nothing to do with coronavirus.

Workers need help. They will get help.

Healthcare professionals need help, too. They will get help.

Schumer and Pelosi want to attach riders to the stimulus package that are totally unrelated in order to help their party politically at taxpayers’ expense. That’s a higher priority for them than helping workers, healthcare or otherwise.

The media knows what Democrats are up to, but they barely report it. When they do report on Democrat dirty dealing, they give it a pro-Democrat spin. They are as much a part of the problem as Democrat politicians.

Democrats, politicians and journalists, are a disgrace to the nation and to the human race.
