January 8, 2020 SnyderTalk—Iran’s Leaders are the Problem

“My holy Name I will make known in the midst of My people Israel.  I will not let My holy Name be profaned anymore, and the Gentiles will know that I am Yahweh, the Holy One in Israel.”

Iran’s Leaders are the Problem

The Mullahs in Iran are Feeling Threatened

President Trump withdrew the United States from the Iran nuclear deal (the JCPOA) and re-imposed economic sanctions on Iran.  Thus, the Iranian economy is tanking.  See “What Explains Trump Pulling the Trigger on Suleimani? It’s the Economics, Stupid.

Iran is pressuring European leaders to urge President Trump to remove the economic sanctions.  That effort has failed miserably.

Recent naval exercises with Russia, China, and Iran in the Gulf of Oman were intended to show solidarity between those countries and to intimidate President Trump.  That effort failed miserably, too.

Iran is Getting Support from the Democrat Party

Iran’s leaders have received precious little support from global political leaders, but they have received enormous support from the Democrat Party.  See “Could This be the Real Reason why the Democrats are Protecting Iran?”:

The partisan support for Iran, the largest state sponsor of terrorism in the world, is so incongruous that former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley commented on it in a recent Fox News interview.

“You don’t see anyone standing up for Iran,” Haley said. “You’re not hearing any of the Gulf members, you’re not hearing China, you’re not hearing Russia. The only ones mourning the loss of Soleimani are our Democrat leadership and Democrat Presidential candidates.”

Leaders in the Democrat Party have a lot of explaining to do.  Their criticisms of President Trump’s handling of Iran are intended to take our eyes off the ball.  They have their hands in Iran’s cookie jar, and they are about to be exposed.

Internal Forces Threaten Iran’s Leaders Most

See “Iran has world’s ‘fastest-growing church,’ despite no buildings – and it’s mostly led by women: documentary”:

A new film tells the story of the “fastest-growing church” in the world, an underground, persecuted Christian movement in a country known for exporting radical Islamic terrorism — Iran.

People in Iran, a Muslim-majority nation, are fleeing Islam in droves as believers bow their knee to Jesus and become aggressively pro-Israel, according to the documentary “Sheep Among Wolves Volume II.”

“What if I told you Islam is dead?” one unidentified Iranian church leader says in the film, which was directed by Dalton Thomas and produced by Frontier Alliance International Studios.

“What if I told you the mosques are empty inside Iran?” he continues. “What if I told you no one follows Islam inside of Iran? Would you believe me? This is exactly what is happening inside of Iran. God is moving powerfully inside of Iran.”

Iran’s Leaders are Trying to Crush Internal Dissent

See “U.S. Says Iran May Have Killed More Than 1,000 People In Recent Unrest”:

Iranian security forces may have killed more than 1,000 people in response to recent protests over gasoline-price hikes, a senior U.S. State Department official said on December 5.

“As the truth is trickling out of Iran, it appears the regime could have murdered over a thousand Iranian citizens since the protests began,” Brian Hook, Washington’s special representative for Iran, told journalists.

U.S. President Donald Trump blasted Tehran for cracking down on protests and said the United States will stand with protesters.

“They’re killing a lot of people and they’re arresting thousands of their own citizens in a brutal crackdown,” Trump said at a meeting with UN diplomats at the White House.

Calling it a “horrible situation,” Trump warned that any new threat from Iran “will be met very strongly.”

Iran’s Leaders are Out of Touch

Iran’s leaders are out of touch with their own people.  See “Opinion: is Iran a nation at war with itself?”:

The reality is that there are aspects of being Iranian that touch upon Europe, Arabia, Islam, Judaism, Christianity, Persia, east Asia, Zoroastrianism, Shiism, Sunnism and Turkism. These huge concepts can only be digested if the idea of being Iranian is stripped of its heavy ideology and condensed into one simple concept: being a citizen. This is why citizenship rights have been at the heart of successive demonstrations.

Iran’s leaders are trying to impose radical Islam on a diverse population that rejects radical Islam.  It won’t work, and exporting terrorism at great cost to the Iranian people only makes matters worse.

Iran’s leaders are the problem.  Suleimani was the first to go.  Others will follow quickly.

“The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.” (John 17: 22-24)
