Democrats are “Outraged” about Suleimani’s Assassination

According to Democrat rising star Ilhan Omar, Democrats are outraged. See “Rep. Ilhan Omar says Dems are outraged by Trump’s assassination of ‘a foreign official’”:

Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota said Friday she and her fellow Democrats are outraged that President Trump assassinated Iranian Gen. Hassem Suleimani, whom she called “a foreign official,” without telling Congress.

“We are outraged the president would assassinate a foreign official, possibly setting off another war without Congressional authorization and has zero plan to deal with the consequences,” Ms. Omar tweeted in a response to Sen. Ted Cruz, Texas Republican. “But of course you know that.”

Mr. Cruz had pointed out that even the Obama administration acknowledged Soleimani “was a terrorist directly responsible for the murder of over 500 US service men & women.”

Democrats Have Been Outraged Since November 2016

Saying that Democrats are outraged is like saying, “Skunks stink.”

Democrats have been in a perpetual state of outrage since President Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in November 2016.

Democrats are Outrageous

It’s only fitting that Democrats are outraged. They are outrageous people.

Synonyms for “outrageous”:

Barbaric—murdering defenseless unborn children is barbaric.
Brazen—shameless and uncouth.
Disgraceful—shockingly unacceptable.
Egregious—outstandingly bad.
Flagrant—conspicuously offensive.
Heinous—utterly odious or wicked.

There are other synonyms for “outrageous”, but that list is sufficient. Think about the fine, upstanding people you know. They are not Democrats.

Who is Qassim Suleimani?

Suleimani was a general in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Until yesterday, he was commander of the IRGC’s Quds Force, the division of IRGC that is responsible for extraterritorial military and clandestine operations.

Suleimani was assassinated while on a mission to Iraq to lead an attack on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq. He got away with murder for so long that he must have thought he was invincible. He learned the truth the hard way. After the explosion, they scraped up his body parts as best they could.

Suleimani was the mastermind behind the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya. See “The shadowy Iranian spy chief who helped plan Benghazi”. Suleimani should have been dealt with then, but Obama was president.

Suleimani was responsible for the deaths of hundreds of U.S. soldiers and thousands of other innocent people. See “Qassem Soleimani was responsible for the deaths of hundreds of American soldiers” and “Soleimani’s IEDs killed more than 600 American soldiers, wounded many more”.

Suleimani was a notorious terrorist. See “Terrorist general with the blood of THOUSANDS on his hands”.

Decent people won’t shed any tears for Suleimani. He got what he deserved. If you want to cry, weep for Suleimani’s victims and their families.

Obama-Era Democrats are Taking Sides with Our Enemies

I expect Democrats to demand that President Trump be impeached for taking out a known terrorist with the blood of U.S. citizens and soldiers on his hands. That will be par for the course.

Obama-era officials in the Democrat Party should have enough common sense to keep their mouths shut, but they don’t. They are responsible for unleashing the Arab Spring that turned out to be a global disaster of biblical proportions and for giving rise to people like Qassim Suleimani. Now, they are joining forces with our enemies to impose their evil worldview on the U.S. and the rest of the world.

Watch the video below. Be careful, though. It might make your blood boil. The video is a few months old, but Democrats have not let up. In fact, they have intensified their efforts in the last few weeks.

Barack Obama: The Manchurian Candidate

About a year and a half ago, L. Todd Wood said that Barack Obama was a real Manchurian Candidate. See “America really did have a Manchurian Candidate in the White House”:

After returning from a tour of some of the war zones in the Middle East — which ended with the Free Iran Gathering 2018 in Paris — I am struck by the realization that America really did have a Manchurian Candidate in The White House for eight years. If you look at the evidence, there really is no other conclusion. The calamitous consequences of the Obama presidency will be felt for the foreseeable future.

In the short year and a half that President Trump has been in office, he has put in place policy that has mitigated the damage that President Obama inflicted on our national security and on our allies. The speed with which Trump has been able to turn things around points to the diabolical depths the Obama administration went to in order to undermine our national strength and way of life. All Trump had to do was stop doing things that hurt America; America could then take care of itself. The results are plain as day. However, it will take decades for the Obama damage to be completely undone. The deviousness of the Obama sedition runs deep.

Of course, Democrats are outraged. President Trump is undoing the damage done by Barack Obama to the U.S. economy, U.S. foreign policy, and U.S. relations with our staunchest allies.

While he was president, Obama did everything he could do to prop up the failing dictatorial regime in Iran. He even turned his back on our most reliable ally in the world, the State of Israel. The Iran nuclear deal would have guaranteed that Iran would have nuclear weapons, and Iranian leaders have made clear that they intend to use those weapons on Israel.

President Trump won’t allow that to happen on his watch. He withdrew the U.S. from the Iran nuclear deal and reimposed sanctions on Iran, thus crippling the Iranian economy. That’s why Democrats and Islamist terrorists in Iran are swarming like yellowjackets. They will continue to swarm until their Islamist nest in Tehran is eliminated.

The Iran problem should have been dealt with in 1979 when Islamists in Iran took control of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran. Jimmy Carter failed.

Iran should have been dealt with in 1983 when its leaders orchestrated the bombing of U.S. Marine barracks in Beirut, Lebanon. Ronald Reagan failed.

George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush ignored the very real threat posed by Iran. During their tenure, Iran grew into a powerful regional hegemon with global ambitions. Barack Obama actively supported Iran. That’s why Iran is a such a dangerous threat today. Obama really was a Manchurian Candidate.

Donald Trump is Calling Iran’s Bluff: It’s Long Overdue

Iran has been killing Americans for decades. Suleimani is Iran’s Assassin Number 1. He’s the ringleader. It’s high time for Iran to pay the price for its terrorist acts around the world.

Of course, Suleimani is the main man in Iran who is charged with wiping Israel off the map. That’s what Iran’s quest for nuclear weapons is all about.

President Trump promised Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu that he will stand with Israel against Iran. That’s the exact opposite of what President Obama did. Obama was Israel’s worst nightmare, but he was a good Democrat. I’ll bet Obama is outraged, too. See “Donald Trump Pledges to Stand with Israel Against Iran”.

Iranian protesters praised President Trump for ordering the assassination of Suleimani. Ordinary Iranians have been suffering under a brutal Islamist dictatorship for more than 40 years. They have been begging for help. Until Donald Trump was elected, they didn’t get any.

Iranian Retaliation?

Iranian leaders promised to retaliate for Suleimani’s assassination. Does that mean they will continue to kill Americans, or does it mean they intend to kill more Americans?

Iranian leaders need to be very careful at this juncture. Donald Trump is not Barack Obama.

President Trump has spent 3 years rebuilding U.S. defenses, but he is not rattling a budget. Iranian leaders would be well-advised to listen carefully to our president. He doesn’t make idle promises.

Conclusion

Taking out Suleimani was exactly the right thing to do. We owe President Trump a standing ovation. He had the courage to do something that should have been done a long time ago. Forget the fact that Democrats are outraged. So what and who cares. Today’s Democrats are as useless as tits on a bull.

Americans should welcome the fact that their leaders are finally taking bolder action to protect them from Iranian mayhem.

The wreckage of Maj. Gen. Qassem Soleimani’s vehicle was still cooling on a Baghdad access road Friday when the recriminations against President Donald Trump’s assassination of Iran’s powerful Quds Force leader began.

Foremost among them: The U.S. has triggered Iran to stage attacks on America’s troops, embassies, friends and infrastructure in the Middle East and around the world. As if Iran wasn’t already.

The critique is based on the serious miscalculation that the U.S. had little to gain by taking out Soleimani and that the consequences would be worse than what he and the regime were already doing. The reality is the opposite, and the public should welcome the fact that their leaders are taking bolder action to protect them from Iranian mayhem.

Whether most Americans knew it or not, Soleimani was already waging a shadow war with the West and its regional partners. At his direction, Iran built and supplied highly sophisticated explosive devices to militias targeting U.S. troops in Iraq, killing at least 500 American service members, wounding many more, and making up nearly 20 percent of combat deaths in the country in the early years of the war. When the Pentagon noted after his death that Soleimani “was actively developing plans to attack American diplomats and service members in Iraq” it was easy to believe. He’d already done it.
