For Democrats who say, “Joe Biden didn’t do anything wrong.”
Fact: Joe Biden’s entire professional experience is political.
Joe Biden is not a newbie in politics. In fact, politics is the only thing Biden has done.
Two years after graduating from law school, at age 28 Biden was elected to the New Castle County Council in Delaware. He served on the Council from 1970 to 1972. Following that 2-year stint in local politics, he moved to the U.S. Senate where he was a member from January 3, 1973 to January 15, 2009. That’s 36 years in the Senate. Biden left his Senate gig to become Barack Obama’s vice president. He served in that job for 8 years.
Politics is Joe Biden’s only professional experience.
Fact: Hunter Biden’s appointment to the Burisma board was a classic shakedown by a political pro.
Joe Biden understands politics. He also understands optics in a political environment. He has devoted his professional life to cultivating the skills needed to thrive in a political environment. Optics is one of them. Joe knows optics.
Joe took his son Hunter with him to Ukraine to enrich Hunter, and he knew how to do it. Joe was vice president at the time, and Ukraine needed U.S. military and economic assistance. To get them, Joe made it clear that Hunter would be given special treatment. Hunter’s appointment to the Burisma Holdings board was a payoff.
Hunter Biden’s presence in Ukraine with his father on an official visit wasn’t a mistake, and it wasn’t an optical problem. Joe was in the driver’s seat calling the shots. The Ukrainians had a choice. Go along with Joe or suffer.
Joe took Hunter with him to China on another official visit, and Hunter came home from that trip an even richer man. Who knows what other things Joe might have done to enrich himself and his family while he was in politics? The only way to find out is to conduct a thorough investigation.

Fact: Joe has been cashing in on his name and his position all along.
One of the skills Joe developed as a politician was the ability to cash in on his name and his political positions. When Joe left public office after Obama’s term as president ended, that’s exactly what he did. I’m not suggesting that Joe did anything illegal, although he might have. I’m simply pointing out that Joe knows how the political game is played, and he’s playing it to enrich himself and his family. He’s been doing that for more than 4 decades.

Fact: Joe Biden can’t claim innocence or ignorance.
A political neophyte can claim ignorance. Joe is not a political neophyte. For him, ignorance as an excuse simply won’t fly.
Joe can’t brag about a shakedown on camera and then deny engaging in a shakedown. The Clinton’s, Bill and Hillary, are notorious for doing what Joe did on a much grander scale and playing word games to avoid prosecution, but a different set of rules applies to the Clintons.
The Clintons’ day in court is ahead of them. Joe doesn’t have the Teflon skin that they have. His day in the court of public opinion is right in front of him. He’ll get his hearing during the 2020 election campaign if he wins the Democrat nomination for president.
Hillary is hinting about running for president again. She won’t. The rules have changed, even for her.
