It’s Time for Retribution in the Senate
The impeachment circus is about to move to the Senate. Already, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is demanding that he be allowed to call witnesses.
Schumer has a very short memory. A few days ago, Republicans in the House sought the right to call witnesses, and their request was denied. Schumer didn’t say a word. Now, the shoe is on the other foot, and he has a lot to say.
It’s time for retribution in the Senate. The Day of Reckoning is approaching.
Schumer and other Democrats believe that the American people aren’t keeping up, so they can do whatever they want with impunity. They are wrong. Finally, ordinary Americans are paying attention. They realize that Democrats are the villains and that President Trump is their innocent victim.

It may be a no-brainer for Senate Republicans to keep President Donald Trump in office — but it’s becoming clear that Democrats mean to make them pay a heavy price for saving the President in his impeachment trial early next year.
In a sign of the high-stakes politics to come, minority Democrats are not waiting for the House to impeach Trump — a move expected on Wednesday — before they open the political battle in the Senate.
In an ironic touch, they are echoing the process complaints that House Republicans used to complicate Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s strategy. And they complain that GOP plans for a swift Senate trial would subvert justice and fall short of the constitutional duty expected of senators.
Senate Democrats are just like House Democrats in this regard. All of them are too smart by half. They are cooking their own goose, but they don’t have a clue.
There Must Be a Day of Reckoning
Once the trial in the Senate is over, some housecleaning needs to be done. Below are a few of the people who need to be held to account:
Marie Yovanovitch
James Comey
Lt. Colonel Alexander Vindman
Lt. Colonel Vindman is not an American hero. He’s a disgrace to the uniform he wears, and he should be held accountable. His connection with the infamous whistleblower needs to be investigated and reported publicly.
The Whistleblower
The whistleblower needs to be identified and called to testify in open court. We need to know exactly what he did and exactly who he coordinated with. No one should be allowed to instigate a witch-hunt and then recede into the woodwork. The whistleblower’s whistleblower status is highly questionable.
Christine Blasey Ford
The charade in the Senate Judiciary Committee’s hearings on Justice Kavanaugh’s confirmation is not distinct from the impeachment hearings in the House and Senate. They are different iterations of one effort, and they should be seen as such.
Christine Blasey Ford lied under oath, and she should be held accountable.
There are Many Others
Others need to be held to account as well. They include former CIA Director John Brennan, former DNI James Clapper, and former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. The list is long, and I’m sure there were people involved in illegal activity whose names are not widely-known yet. A careful investigation can reveal who they are. All of them should face justice.
This is Not a Trivial Matter
Until now, I have never witnessed a coordinated effort to take down a President of the United States who committed no offense. Democrats, their operatives, and the establishment media didn’t just try to take down the president. They tried to take down anyone associated with him including people he nominated to various high-profile jobs.
It was a far-reaching attempted coup d’etat. It was treason pure and simple, and it can’t be allowed to go unpunished.
