Anything President Trump does is an “Impeachable Offense”

Democrats are so delirious that if President Trump dares to open his mouth, they accuse him of a committing a crime, an impeachable offense. Some of them probably believe that the president commits an impeachable offense every time he takes a breath, because he exhales CO2.
That may sound like a joke, but I’m not kidding. I think Trump Derangement Syndrome is real, and “liberal progressive” Democrats have a bad case of it.
Most ordinary Americans watching this sleazy episode in our nation’s history are perplexed. That’s as it should be. Nothing like this has happened before. It’s almost otherworldly, something like George Orwell’s 1984.
We Have a Constitutional Crisis
We are witnessing a constitutional crisis, and it’s not President Trump’s doing. He has been under attack since the day he won the 2016 presidential election. The day he was elected, Democrats stated that they were going to impeach him. That was more than 2 months before President Trump was inaugurated, and Democrats were not shy about telling us their intention. For once, they were telling the truth.
President Trump calls the current House hearings a “hoax” and a “witch hunt”. It’s both of those things, but primarily it’s an attempt to undo the 2016 presidential election by impeaching a man who has committed no offenses, either impeachable or criminal.
I am saddened and sickened by what is happening. I’m sad because the establishment media has shamelessly joined forces with the Democrat Party in this brazen attempt to destroy an innocent man for partisan political reasons. I am sick because the Democrat Party and the establishment media are so corrupt.
Watching Democrats and the establishment media try to destroy our nation infuriates me, and I’m not alone. I’m getting angrier by the day. I’m not alone there, either.
For What it’s Worth
Some people reading this editorial will see me as a political partisan. I’m not. I am a fiercely independent constitutionalist and a moralist.
I’m not a newcomer to political debate or day-to-day politics. My involvement in political activity is broad and deep. I have served at the federal, state, and local levels of government in various capacities. I was a Democrat the whole time. The picture at the top of this editorial is of Katie and me meeting in the White House with President Carter in 1980. I was working for him during his campaign against Ronald Reagan.
I saw first-hand what the Democrat Party was gravitating toward, and I got out. I don’t know how much more depraved the Democrat Party can become, but today it’s what I saw it becoming in 1985 when I said adios.
I never have been a Republican, and I never will be a Republican. In fact, I was a regional finalist for a White House Fellowship in 1984 when Ronald Reagan was president. There are 10 regions in the country. One person is selected from each region. I was selected from my region, but I was not selected for a fellowship because I was a ranking official in Virginia Governor Chuck Robb’s administration.
Chuck Robb is a Democrat. More than anything else, my association with him blocked my selection as a White House Fellow. That bothered me then, but not anymore. President Reagan and his people saw what the Democrat Party was becoming long before I did.
