The Israeli Election: Netanyahu Claims Victory

See “Despite Legal Trouble, Netanyahu set to Remain Israel’s Prime Minister”.

Prime Minister Netanyahu and President Trump have at least one thing in common. They are hated by the establishment media.

The establishment media in Israel reminds me of the New York Times and the Washington Post. They have ceased to perform their legitimate function and have turned into mouthpieces for the political left.

Rather than reporting the news, the establishment media in Israel sells a narrative, an agenda. They are immoral and corrupt. Still, they have a large following, especially in Tel Aviv.

In Israel and the United States, the political left is becoming irrelevant and irrational. The same is true for the establishment media in both countries.

Outside Tel Aviv, the political left in Israel has little sway. That’s obvious in Jerusalem.

Netanyahu’s victory was close, but thanks to Israel’s parliamentary system, Netanyahu should form the next government and remain prime minister. If you look at the vote outside Tel Aviv, I will be shocked if Netanyahu didn’t shellac Benny Gantz.

See “Israel election: Netanyahu and rival Gantz tied with 97% of vote counted”.

Netanyahu’s legal problems may be politically motivated.  The justice system in Israel will determine his guilt or innocence, but it appears to me that parts of the justice system in Israel have been compromised.  That’s just like the United States.

This is my advice to Prime Minister Netanyahu: keep your promises. If you do what you said you would do, you should be fine.

Benny Gantz v. AOC and Bernie Sanders

Benny Gantz is not a gadfly. He’s a serious person with a record of serious accomplishments. He’s a real hero.

In that regard, Gantz is not like President Trump’s political opponents in the United States. To the man and woman, Trump’s opponents are talkers, not doers.  Their records of accomplishment are practically nonexistent.

AOC is the person who best represents what the Democrat Party in the U.S. has become. She was a waitress and bartender before entering Congress.  Despite being in Congress, she still thinks and acts like a bartender.  As Greenpeace co-founder Patrick Moore said, she’s a “pompous little twit” with a “silly” climate plan.

Benny Gantz and AOC are light-years apart.

Bernie Sanders is next on the list of big talking Democrats.  He claims to be an independent, but he is a Democrat pure and simple.  He has done nothing in 12 years as a senator.  See “Sanders had big ideas but little impact on Capitol Hill”:

“Democrats who worked with the Vermont senator say he contributed to the debate, but rarely forged actual legislation or left a significant imprint on it.”

Benny Gantz is no Bernie Sanders, either.

Israel is blessed with doers.  The U.S. is cursed with talkers.  Thankfully, President Trump is a doer.

“The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.” (John 17: 22-24)
