Gun Sales are Falling because Law-Abiding Gun Owners Have Stocked Up Already

- Heart disease: 633,842
- Cancer: 595,930
- Chronic lower respiratory diseases: 155,041
- Accidents (unintentional injuries): 146,571
- Stroke (cerebrovascular diseases): 140,323
- Alzheimer’s disease: 110,561
- Diabetes: 79,535
- Influenza and pneumonia: 57,062
- Nephritis, nephrotic syndrome, and nephrosis: 49,959
- Intentional self-harm (suicide): 44,193
Below are death by injury statistics:
- Injury deaths: 199,752
- Poisoning deaths: 51,966
- Motor vehicle traffic deaths: 33,736

For Teens, Cell Phones are Far More Lethal than Guns
Vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for teens. In 2015, 3,477 deaths were caused by texting while driving. Of that number, 2,333 were teen deaths.
According to the National Safety Council,
- cell phone use while driving causes 1.6 million traffic accidents annually,
- texting while driving results in 330,000 injuries annually, and
- texting while driving is responsible for 27% of all car accidents.

Injuries and deaths caused by teens using cell phones are increasing.
If we were serious about reducing the number of senseless teen deaths, we would devote more attention to the teen driving problem and the teen cell phone use while driving problem. They are far more lethal than guns.
Guns and Our Politically Correct World
We are in the midst of a “liberal progressive” media blitz designed to convince the American people that guns are the biggest problem we face as a nation. That’s not true. Statistics prove it.
“Liberal progressives” aren’t concerned about facts. They have an agenda, and they take advantage of every tragedy to push it. That’s shameless opportunism.
“Liberal progressives” are capitalizing on the Broward County school shooting to advance their political agenda. Their goal is to abolish the Second Amendment to the Constitution. They are attacking it by attempting to restrict gun owners’ rights one at a time.
Neither the NRA nor law-abiding gun owners were responsible for the Florida school shooting. Nikolas Cruz, a mentally unstable teen, was. His mental condition was known in advance of the shooting by the FBI, Broward County law enforcement officials, and Broward County school officials.
All of them knew that Cruz dreamed of becoming a notorious school shooter and that he had threatened to kill some of his former classmates, but none of them did anything to prevent the massacre of 17 high school kids. All of them have blood on their hands.
Former Attorney General Eric Holder and former President Barack Obama were complicit in the Florida school shooting. For racial and political reasons, they ordered school officials in Broward County not to report criminal activity by students in Broward County schools. Both of them have blood on their hands.
Those who failed us should be held accountable. None of the blame falls on the NRA or law-abiding gun owners.
“Liberal Progressives” Need Scapegoats to Slaughter
The NRA and law-abiding gun owners are scapegoats. They are guiltless, but they are being victimized for offenses committed by hardened criminals and insane people. They are being maligned and demonized in an attempt to win public support for the “liberal progressive” gun control agenda.
People who think the Second Amendment to the Constitution is not needed today don’t understand why our Founding Fathers insisted that it be included in the Constitution. They were protecting our right to own guns so that we could defend ourselves if our government ever gravitated toward dictatorial control or anarchy ensued. That’s where we are today.
The need for gun ownership by private citizens in the U.S. has never been greater. That’s not the politically correct view, but it is the correct view.
Gun Sales are Declining but Not for the Reason Most People Think
Gun sales are declining because law-abiding gun owners stocked up on guns and ammo during the 8 years of the Obama presidency. Gun sales peaked in 2016 when it looked as though Hillary Clinton would win the presidential election.
Law-abiding gun owners who understand the problems we face as a nation and realize that we are heading toward anarchy are well-prepared to defend themselves. All they need now are target ammo for practice and gun cleaning supplies.
We are Heading for Trouble
By attempting to capitalize on tragedies to advance their gun control agenda, “liberal progressives” are purposely dividing our nation and ripping apart the fabric of our society. Still, they won’t let up.
They think their feelings trump our constitutional rights. The consequences for their actions will be more horrific than they can imagine.
I don’t wish anyone harm, but it will be interesting to hear what “liberal progressives” have to say about gun ownership when the violence they are unleashing on society reaches their doors.
Eventually, the excrement will hit the fan. When it does, I’ll give “liberal progressives” this advice: Call the police. When seconds count, they are just minutes away.
I’m not trying to present the worst-case scenario. I’m explaining what I think is going to happen.
