The Establishment Media Sucks

The establishment media is so far off the mark that it’s scary.  They are doing our country a great disservice.  That’s why I think they suck.

They are pimping dangerous philosophies.  For that reason, we can’t allow them to control the information people hear.  If we depend on the establishment media to get the truth out, the truth won’t get out.

Below is an example of what I mean.  It’s the opening paragraph from Ishaan Tharoor’s article “The inescapable anti-Semitism of Western nationalists“:

Readers of Today’s WorldView are well aware of how the far right has gone mainstream over the past year. They were brought there by a confluence of events: President Trump’s rise to the White House on an ultranationalist platform, the electoral gains made by once-fringe parties in Western Europe and the deepening illiberalism of parties in power farther east. As a result, we’ve seen a rise in Islamophobia as well as widespread demonization of immigrants in various countries.

Tharoor writes for the Washington Post. He’s smart; he’s insightful; and he’s a “liberal progressive”. I read his articles, and I agree with him many times.  This time I don’t.

The article’s title is correct.  Anti-Semitism is on the rise everywhere, but in the opening paragraph of the article, Tharoor lays out his opinions as facts and destroys his credibility.  Since he’s smart, I assume he’s primarily interested in pushing his political agenda.

Tharoor’s opinions are not facts. That’s why people like me call articles like this one FAKE NEWS.  Let’s delve into the opening paragraph of the article in detail and see what Tharoor is trying to sell us:

  1. Tharoor’s assertion that “the far right has gone mainstream over the past year” is wrong. He thinks “far right” is anything that is not accepted as a fundamental truth by “liberal progressives” who are far left.
  2. The “far right” hasn’t “gone mainstream”. Since “liberal progressive” rags like the Washington Post will not tell the truth, rational people have bypassed them with social media and blogs like SnyderTalk.
  3. Social media and blogs may become “mainstream” one day, but they aren’t “mainstream” today. If they become “mainstream”, it will be because the “liberal progressive” establishment media on the far left failed to tell the truth long enough for people with common sense to reject them completely.
  4. President Trump did not “rise to the White House on an ultranationalist platform” as Tharoor says. The U.S. has been taken advantage of by other nations since the end of World War II. We allowed it to happen and saddled U.S. taxpayers with debt and unnecessarily high prices. President Trump simply said that the gravy train isn’t running anymore. He has made clear that henceforth we will do what is in our best interest. That’s what we should be doing. It’s not an “ultranationalist platform”. It’s common sense. It’s what every other nation does right now.
  5. Tharoor presents the so-called “rise in Islamophobia as well as widespread demonization of immigrants” as facts. They are not facts.  They are Tharoor’s opinions.
  6. “Liberal progressives” are putting the rest of us at great risk by not recognizing the dangers posed by the rapid increase in Muslim immigration to the U.S., since the vast majority of them are unvetted. We know for a fact that Islamists are using our lax immigration policies and our lax enforcement of immigration laws to infiltrate our country. They come here with the goal of destroying our nation and making it over in the images of the “shithole countries” they are leaving. We know these things because they have told us exactly what they are doing. It’s idiotic to ignore what they are saying.  People who think it’s demeaning to call them “shithole countries” need to go there and see for themselves.  They are in fact “shithole countries”.
  7. “Islamophobia” is a ridiculous word. A phobia is an irrational fear. Fearing things that are frightening is smart. It’s the right thing to do. The fact that “liberal progressives” don’t recognize the threat that Islamists represent is frightening. The fact that “liberal progressives” want to govern this nation is even more frightening. We can’t allow that to happen.
  8. Writing immigration laws that make sense doesn’t demonize immigrants, and enforcing our immigration laws doesn’t demonize immigrants, either. We should do those things because they are the right things to do. Tharoor uses the word “demonize” to advance his “liberal progressive” political agenda and to ridicule people who don’t buy what he’s selling.  That’s dishonest and unprofessional.
  9. We should allow people to immigrate to the U.S. because they have something to offer that we need. It should not be based on a lottery (the luck of the draw), and it should not open the door for the members of the immigrants’ extended families to come over here with them. That’s what we are doing now. It’s idiotic. We voted for President Trump because he promised to end the madness.
  10. Islamists are primarily responsible for the rise in anti-Semitism in the U.S. That’s true in Europe and the rest of the world, too.
Conclusion

As I said, anti-Semitism is on the rise everywhere.  It’s a serious problem, but ignoring reality is not the way to address it.

Ishaan Tharoor is part of the establishment media. The establishment media and their puppet masters in the “liberal progressive” Democrat Party are way off-base. The policies they prefer will destroy our country and lead to more anti-Semitism, not less.

The establishment media is the mainstream media. Since they tell lies and refuse to present the truth, we will marginalize them and, if necessary, cut them out of the loop completely. I’m doing that right now.

In the end, the establishment media will determine how far we must go to make sure that the truth gets out.  As things stand now, the establishment media sucks.

“The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.” (John 17: 22-24)
