Uzay Bulut—Turkey Builds Mega-Mosque in U.S., Blocks Churches in Turkey:

On April 2, a gigantic Ottoman style of mosque was opened in Lanham, Maryland by the president of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The mosque, according to Turkish officials, is “one of the largest Turkish mosques built outside Turkey.”

Funds to build it, as reported by the Turkish pro-government newspaper, Sabah, came from Turkey’s state-run Presidency of Religious Affairs, known as the Diyanet, as well as Turkish-American non-profit organizations.

The mosque is actually part of a larger complex, commonly referred to as “Maryland kulliye.” Akulliye, as such Islamic compounds were called in Ottoman times, is a complex of buildings, centered on a mosque and composed of various facilities including a madrassa (Islamic religious school).

Erdogan recited verses from the Quran inside the mosque after the mosque was opened.

SnyderTalk Comment:

Following Saudi Arabia’s lead, Turkey is building mosques in the U.S. while campaigning against Christians at home.

This can’t be tolerated.

The U.S. needs a president who understands what is happening and has the fortitude to do something about it.

Hillary Clinton is not that person.  She is Islamist mouthpiece number one in the U.S.

1: Jerusalem PostUNESCO says no Jewish history on Temple Mount; Hebron and Bethlehem ‘Integral part of Palestine’:

Unclear who will benefit from polemical decision.

UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Association, announced a number of resolutions just before the weekend started.

One, submitted by the Russian Federation, called for defining UNESCO’s role in safeguarding and preserving Palmyra and other Syrian World Heritage sites. Another was about “Enhancing UNESCO’s contributions to promote a culture of mutual respect and tolerance.”

SnyderTalk Comment:

This is the UN at work in typical fashion.  It’s anti-Semitic at the core.

2: Col. (res.) Dr. Eran Lerman and Prof. Joshua Teitelbaum—The Meaning for Israel of Restored Saudi Sovereignty over Tiran and Sanafir Islands:

The fact that Saudi Arabia has now undertaken to uphold in practice the obligations assumed by Egypt under its peace treaty with Israel means that Israel’s place in the region is no longer perceived by Arab leader Saudi Arabia as an anomaly to be corrected. This is a far cry from normalization of Saudi relations with Israel, but it is nevertheless a welcome ray of light.

Egypt took care to explain its decision to Israel and to allay any fears that this may have any effect on the freedom of navigation. The Saudis did so as well, according to Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon.

With the need to confront Iran high above all other considerations in the Saudi and Egyptian national security playbook – and in Israel’s – any major step that helps bring together the “camp of stability” in the region under joint Egyptian-Saudi leadership will also serve Israel’s interests.

3: Prime Minister’s Office—Netanyahu: Iranian, Hizbullah and ISIS Forces Must Be Removed from Syria:

At the weekly Cabinet meeting, held on the Golan Heights on Sunday, Prime Minister Netanyahu said: “The Golan Heights have been an integral part of the Land of Israel since ancient times; the dozens of ancient synagogues in the area around us attest to this….During the 19 years that the Golan Heights were under Syrian occupation, when they were a place for bunkers, wire fences, mines and aggression, they were for war. In the 49 years that the Golan Heights have been under Israeli rule, they have been for agriculture, tourism, economic initiatives and building. They are for peace.”

“I spoke last night with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and I told him…that we will not oppose a diplomatic settlement in Syria, on condition that it not come at the expense of the security of the State of Israel, i.e., that at the end of the day, the forces of Iran, Hizbullah and ISIS will be removed from Syrian soil.”

4: Times of IsraelIDF Uncovers Gaza Terror Tunnel Dug into Israeli Territory:

Security forces discovered the tunnel inside Israeli territory just over a week ago, the Israel Defense Forces revealed on Monday. Israel has been developing a detection system to locate such tunnels and the army reportedly used the system to discover this tunnel.

5: Souad Mekhennet and Missy Ryan—REVEALED: U.S. forces’ secret role helps foreign troops fight terror:

The armed men drove right into the nighttime ambush. The militants, led by a veteran jihadist blamed for a bloody attack on Westerners just 10 days earlier, were winding their way along a narrow desert road in central Tunisia.

When the elite Tunisian forces hidden in the surrounding hills opened fire, their tracers lit up the night sky, and some of the militants tried to flee. All nine suspects, including the senior militant, Khaled Chaib, were killed. An informant in the truck at the time of the ambush was wounded in the shoulder.

6: Manfred Gerstenfeld and Jamie Berk—False Moral Equivalence as a Tool to Demonize Israel

Among the many tools mobilized for the demonization of Israel, one frequently used is a mode of argument known as false moral equivalence. The term “moral equivalence,” originates from a 1906 address by American philosopher William James. It is the claim that there is no difference between two actions of greatly varying character. It is frequently used to emphasize similarities between two otherwise dissimilar acts. False moral equivalence undermines norms and values in a society, blurring the lines between good and evil also right and wrong.

False moral equivalence comparing Israel’s actions to those of the Nazis was used by several prominent social-democratic politicians, including French President François Mitterrand, Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme and Greek Prime Minister Andreas Papandreou.

7: Fox NewsISIS revenue down 30 percent as its territory shrinks, report claims:

The ISIS terror group has seen its revenue fall by 30 percent from last year while the number of people living in territory under its control has dropped by a third, a new report says.

The consulting firm IHS reports that as of March 2016, ISIS’ monthly revenue was $56 million, down from a high of $80 million in March 2015.

The decrease is due in part to diminished oil production in ISIS-controlled territories. IHS estimates that around 21,000 barrels of oil are produced each day in the self-proclaimed caliphate, down from around 33,000 barrels per day. The report gives airstrikes by the U.S.-led coalition and Russia partial credit for impacting ISIS’ oil production, but also notes that the militants were able to repair damaged infrastructure quickly.

8: Business InsiderThe IMF shuts down rumors of a secret G20 meeting to ‘take down’ the dollar:

There have been rumors that Fed Chair Janet Yellen’s recent dovish comments are somehow connected to a secret meeting to “take down” the dollar at the G-20 meeting.

Allegedly, global policymakers, including the US, Europe, Japan, China, and the International Monetary Fund, hashed out a secret deal at a secret side meeting at February’s G-20 meeting in Shanghai.

One key part of this so-called Shanghai Accord allegedly aimed at weakening the dollar.

The thinking behind this is that officials have been worried about the too strong dollar, which has put pressure on oil prices and China — and so they decided to knock it down.

SnyderTalk Comment:

Shutting down rumors doesn’t mean the rumors have no validity.

It may mean just the opposite.

Along a related vein, the global push to replace the dollar as the global reserve currency is gaining momentum.

From a currency perspective, having multiple currencies in a global economy make no sense.  In time, logic will prevail.

Changes with regard to currency will coincide with other changes that move us closer to a global form of government. The changes will be sold to the public as the solution to global issues in a global world.  Economic, social, and religious changes will be addressed when that day comes.

It’s just a matter of time.

9: Jerusalem PostJordan abandons plan to install cameras on Temple Mount:

The Palestinians argue that the cameras would be used by Israel to identify and arrest Muslim worshipers and activists opposed to visits by Jews to the Temple Mount.

SnyderTalk Comment:

The reason that Palestinians don’t want cameras on the Temple Mount is simple.  They don’t want video evidence of their criminal activity—things like stocking al-Aqsa Mosque with weapons and removing ancient artifacts proving the existence of Yahweh’s temples on Mount Moriah.

By going along with the scheme, Jordan is complicit.

“The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.” (John 17: 22-24)
