Evidence arguing for a “whiff of oxygen” before the Earth’s Great Oxygenation Event 2.3 billion years ago are chemical signatures that were probably introduced at a much later time, according to research published in Science Advances.
The result rewinds previous research findings that atmospheric oxygen existed prior to the so-called Great Oxygenation Event–known to researchers as “GOE”– and has the potential to rewrite what is known of the planet’s past.
“Without the whiff of oxygen reported by a series of earlier studies, the scientific community needs to critically reevaluate its understanding of the first half of Earth’s history,” said Sarah Slotznick, an assistant professor of earth sciences at Dartmouth and first author of the study.
Science Isn’t Fixed
For those who tell us that they follow the science and criticize others for questioning the science, the article above should be a wakeup call.
Science isn’t fixed. It changes constantly, and we benefit from the changes.
The article above talks about a major assumption about the oxygenation of Earth that scientists have accepted as truth, but new evidence suggests that it is a faulty assumption. That means conclusions based on that assumption were WRONG and that the science was WRONG.
Real science is about questioning assumptions and testing them to make sure they are right. Real scientists know it, because it’s fundamental to everything they do. Every day, they question everything. That’s their job.
What About COVID?
The evidence about COVID suggests that government officials are playing games. On the one hand, public schools can’t reopen, because school officials fear outbreaks of the disease. In California, people who go out to eat must wear masks for the same reason. On the other hand, when football fans gather in Los Angeles to watch the Rams play, they pack together like canned sardines and totally ignore COVID protocols. Nothing is said about it, and there are no negative consequences.
The evidence suggests that “scientists” are selling us a bill of goods.
Real science suggests that government officials who are telling us about “the science of COVID” are either terribly misinformed, or they are lying. The media isn’t doing its job. It is supposed to question things, too, but media types are dutifully following along and simply repeating what they are told.
That’s not journalism. That’s promoting political propaganda.
Something terribly wrong is taking place right in front of our faces. My antennae go up immediately when I see things like this. I hope yours do, too.
Switching Gears Slightly
We saw many very peculiar events take place during the 2020 presidential election, things that have not happened before during my lifetime. Those things happened all over the nation at the same time. It looked like an orchestrated event. It looked like the election was stolen.
Just like assumptions in science, we need to question everything. When things that make no sense happen, we must question the results. That’s our duty.
Consider This
To function in our society, proof of identity is required. That means every U.S. citizen has proof of his or her identity. No one could get by for long without proof of identity.
For example, I have a banker. She knows me, but every time I meet with her to do banking business, I must show her my I.D. It’s required.
So, why is the Democrat Party determined to allow voting without proof of identity? Proof of the right to vote is basic to good governance, but Democrats say that asking for proof of identity is racist.
There has to be a reason why Democrats are making such foolish statements and dragging their feet so that people can vote without proving that they have a right to vote. What could that reason be?
Let’s start with the obvious. They are rigging elections, and they are trying to hide that fact from voters.
Conclusion
Question everything. Identify the liars and cheaters, and hold them accountable.
