“Seek Yahweh while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts and let him return to Yahweh, and He will have compassion on him. Turn to our Elohim, for He will abundantly pardon.”

A Comparison of Republican and Democrat Party Platforms

Before voting, people who claim to be Christian should want to know what Republicans and Democrats say they believe and hope to achieve. The information in this SnyderTalk editorial comes straight from the approved party platforms. The page numbers in the text below are from the approved party platforms.

Two Caveats

Caveat 1

Unlike most politicians, President Trump has earned a reputation for doing what he says he will do. From moving the U.S. embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem to advancing the peace process in Israel to renegotiating U.S. trade agreements to rebuilding the U.S. military to withdrawing the U.S. from the Paris Climate Accord, etc., the president has been true to his word.

President Trump has accomplished more in less than 4 years than Barack Obama and George W. Bush combined accomplished in 16 years. Many of the things President Trump promised to do during the 2016 campaign were thought to be impossible or unrealistic. Today, they are reality. Brining manufacturing jobs home is one example. Advancing peace in the Middle East is another.

President Trump is a doer. Joe Biden is a talker. Joe will say just about anything, but his accomplishments are few. Even worse, over 47 years as a politician, Joe has earned a reputation for saying one thing and doing another. Where I live, that’s called “lying”.

This example stands out, because it’s so recent. Joe promised to ban fracking. He thought he had to say that to win the Democrat nomination. He said it straight out during the Democrat candidate debates, and it’s on video. When he was confronted with his promise to ban fracking during a debate with President Trump, Joe denied ever having said it.

With the Democrat nomination in hand, Joe needed to restate his position to make it more acceptable to voters in oil-producing states. In politics, that’s called “pivoting”. Most politicians do it, Republicans and Democrats.

President Trump doesn’t pivot. He tells people what he plans to do, and then, he does it.

Joe Biden will say anything to win votes. His positions on issues change on an as-needed basis. He can’t be believed. Relying on Joe Biden to keep his word is foolish.

Joe Biden is not trustworthy. Bill Stevenson, Joe’s former friend and Jill Biden’s first husband, made that clear. See “2 Stories About Joe Biden that Really Bother Me“.

Caveat 2

This is extremely important:

  • A vote for Donald Trump is a vote for Donald Trump.
  • A vote for Joe Biden is a vote for Kamala Harris.

Joe Biden is a compromise candidate. The vast majority of Democrats are socialists, Marxists, or communists. Bernie Sanders is their candidate of choice, but higher-ups in the Democrat Party decided that Bernie’s agenda would not go over well with the American people. Thus, they gave the nomination to Joe, but they extracted a promise from him that he would pursue Bernie’s agenda. Public statements by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Michael Moore, and other far-left radicals make that crystal clear.

Kamala Harris received low-single digit support during her campaign for the Democrat nomination. She became Biden’s running mate, because she is the most “liberal progressive” member of the U.S. Senate. On several occasions, Harris has slipped up and referred to the Harris administration. Biden has made similar gaffs. That suggests to me that she wears the pants.

This is crucial: Joe Biden is suffering from dementia, and his condition is getting worse. At any moment during a Biden presidency, his cabinet can invoke the 25th Amendment, remove him from office, and give us a President Kamala Harris.

Joe has said explicitly that he sees himself as a bridge. A bridge to what? Joe is a bridge to Kamala Harris and other far-left radicals in the Democrat Party.

That’s how Democrats see Joe Biden. It’s not hyperbole to say that a vote for Biden is a vote for Harris.

The 25th Amendment to the Constitution says that if the President is unable to do his job, the Vice President becomes the President.

“The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.”
