Exhibit 2.2 from His Name is Yahweh: Expanded Edition
I have added a new exhibit to the upcoming edition of His Name is Yahweh.
The new book’s title is His Name is Yahweh: Expanded Edition. The new exhibit in the book is Exhibit 2.2. It has 3 sections:
- “the Name of the LORD”
- “I am the LORD”
- “My Name is the LORD”
In this SnyderTalk, I have included the last section of Exhibit 2.2 from His Name is Yahweh: Expanded Edition: “My Name is the LORD”.
The book hasn’t been published yet, but it will be soon. The additions to this book are very important. I hope you read it when it’s available.
“My Name is the LORD”
The exact phrase “My Name is the LORD” appears only once in the Bible – Jeremiah 16: 21. What Yahweh said at that moment is crucial. To understand the context, you need to read Jeremiah 16: 19-21:
“O Yahweh, my strength and my stronghold, and my refuge in the day of distress, to You the nations will come from the ends of the earth and say, ‘Our fathers have inherited nothing but falsehood, futility and things of no profit.’ ‘Can man make gods for himself? Yet they are not gods! Therefore behold, I am going to make them know — this time I will make them know My power and My might; and they shall know that My name is Yahweh.’” (Jeremiah 16: 19-21)
Those verses refer to an event that hasn’t happened yet. The day is coming when people from all over the world will stream to Jerusalem seeking Yahweh and His truth. When they arrive, they will say,
“Our fathers have inherited nothing but falsehood, futility and things of no profit.”
Yahweh’s response is intriguing. He says,
“Can man make gods for himself? Yet they are not gods! Therefore behold, I am going to make them know — this time I will make them know My power and My might; and they shall know that My name is Yahweh.”
From Yahweh’s response, it’s obvious that man can make gods for himself, and they have given them other names. It’s been happening since the beginning, but there is only One true Elohim — Yahweh.
Something dramatic is about to happen. I think it will rival if not exceed the things Yahweh did when he delivered the Children of Israel from bondage in Egypt during the Exodus. I’ve drawn that conclusion because of Yahweh’s final statement:
“Therefore behold, I am going to make them know — this time I will make them know My power and My might; and they shall know that My Name is Yahweh.”
Yahweh is angry. He revealed His truth to the prophets, and they recorded it meticulously in the Tanach, or the Old Testament. Two thousand years ago, He came and delivered His message in Person.
What did the religious leaders in Jerusalem do?
Before Yahweh came, they stripped His Name from the Bible and placed titles where His Name belongs. Later, they killed Him.
Yahweh never intended for anyone to take His Name out of circulation, and He doesn’t condone it. There are many reasons why I know that’s true, but the most obvious reason is that we have salvation in the Name Yahweh:
- That’s what Yahweh said in Isaiah 43: 11.
- That’s what Joel said in Joel 2: 32, Joel 3: 5 in the Tanach.
- That’s what Peter said in Acts 2: 21.
- That’s what Paul said in Romans 10: 13.
It doesn’t get any clearer than that, and you can’t find a better list of witnesses. Yahweh will make sure that everyone knows who He is by Name. In the end, He will declare His Name Himself, probably along with great signs and wonders to emphasize His point.
For believers, that will be a time of great rejoicing. For people who have rejected Yahweh, that will be their worst nightmare coming to fruition and the beginning of an eternity that no horror movie could have depicted. It will be beyond their ability to imagine.
Eternity is forever. It will never end.
