Palestinians in a Zombie World

In an article titled “Palestinians: Have The Donors Finally Woken Up?”, Khaled Abu Toameh said,

Western donors want to see a list of the names of Palestinians who are on the payroll of the Palestinian Authority (PA), and the PA is not happy about it.

What is driving this demand? Thousands of Palestinian school teachers in the West Bank are striking for better conditions. The Palestinian leadership, in response, has ordered a security crackdown on the strikers.

To justify the crackdown, PA officials have claimed that the strike was organized by Hamas as part of a conspiracy to embarrass and undermine the regime of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

What is really happening is that the teachers are blowing the whistle on PA corruption. They have accused the PA Ministry of Education of wasting donors’ funds and deceiving them by inflating the number of teachers. They claim that the list of employees (about 56,000) ostensibly hired by the ministry contains many fictitious names. These include teachers and administrative workers of the ministry.

The teachers also accuse the PA of lying to the donors about their salaries. The information provided by the PA to donors claimed that the PA pays higher salaries to the teachers than the teachers actually receive.

In other words, the striking teachers are exposing the PA as playing Western donors for suckers.

The PLO/Palestinian Authority and Hamas have been playing ignorant and naïve Western donors for suckers since 1964.  Is the donor class finally waking up?

I’ll believe it when I see lots of evidence.  A few data points are not convincing.

See “Biden says his family was near scene of Tel Aviv attack”.  The person who was killed in this Palestinian terrorist attack was an American tourist.  He was a graduate student at Vanderbilt.

Biden criticized the PA for not condemning the attack.  Ironically, the PA probably planned it and paid for it.  At the very least, they incited it.

Evidence supporting that assertion is overwhelming.  The only thing in question is the degree to which the PA was complicit.  Biden either knew that or he should have known it.

See “Official Palestinian TV calls Jaffa terrorist a ‘martyr,’ victims ‘settlers’”.  This is what the PA does to incite violence.  When the PA does condemn an attack, they do it with a wink and a nod.  They are shameless liars and criminals.

That said, they are global beggars, too.  They can understand shrinking revenue.  Those who support the PA financially and otherwise are complicit in their butchery because they supply the money and goodwill that the PA needs to operate.

See “PM slams Arab MKs for backing Hezbollah: Have you gone mad?

Arab MKs are Palestinians.  They are targets for Hezbollah, too, because they don’t pass the Islamist litmus test.

Only true-blue terrorists have any hope of passing their test.  Additionally, Islamists demand that their followers must not sing or dance, and they must dress like Islamists.

There is more, but it’s obvious that Arab MKs don’t pass the test.

If Hezbollah did take control of Israel (thankfully, that will never happen), Arab MKs would be among the first to be executed.  That’s why Netanyahu’s question is spot-on: have Arab MKs gone mad?

The Galilee region of Israel does face an imminent threat from Hezbollah.  How soon?  It will be a part of the next war with Hezbollah.  See “Sayyed [Hassan] Nasrallah: Hezbollah Ready to Invade Galilee, beyond Galilee”.

Wars with Hezbollah and Hamas are like chapters in the “Book of Israel”.  By their actions, each day ignorant and naïve donors are choosing sides, but most of them don’t have a clue.

In the title of this editorial, I used the word “Zombie”.  In movies, Zombies are the living dead or the walking dead.  They are soulless corpses bent on the destruction of mankind.

Ignorant and naïve donors to the Palestinian cause are like Zombies.  They mindlessly follow Palestinian leaders by pouring money into a corrupt regime that is trying to prevent Yahweh from fulfilling His promises.  If they don’t repent (have a change of heart and go in the opposite direction), they are moving toward a terrifying conclusion that is reserved for Yahweh’s enemies.

The fact that many of them don’t realize they are heading for destruction is irrelevant.  In Romans, Paul explained it this way,

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures.” (Romans 1:18-23)

That’s as clear as it gets.  No one has an excuse.

1: Arik Puder—For Israelis, Donald Trump is U.S. history’s most ‘Israeli’ presidential candidate:

This presidential election season is nothing if not fascinating, and the media coverage itself is driving considerable debate. What’s also interesting, but has so far gone unexplored, is how Israeli media are covering the American elections. Israeli election coverage offers insights into how the press in the U.S. and Israel stack up against each other in treating both this election cycle and politicians in general—and how Israelis themselves view the elections.

As someone who worked for many years as a media advisor for leading Israeli politicians, and who has run a PR agency in New York for the last six years, I’ve had the chance to explore up-close how American politics operate, how American media work, and how American media differ from Israeli media.

What really stands out this year is that this U.S. election has generated much more interest than past American elections in the Israeli media—and, by association, in the Israeli public—for two main reasons: Donald Trump and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).

SnyderTalk Comment: I think Trump will win the GOP nomination.  I also think he will win the general election in November.

Yahweh works in mysterious ways.  We need to pray for Donald Trump.  Prayer works.

2: New York Times—Roger Cohen: An Anti-Semitism of the Left:

Last month, a co-chairman of the Oxford University Labour Club, Alex Chalmers, quit in protest at what he described as rampant anti-Semitism among members. A “large proportion” of the club “and the student left in Oxford more generally have some kind of problem with Jews,” he said in a statement.

Chalmers referred to members of the executive committee “throwing around the term ‘Zio’” — an insult used by the Ku Klux Klan; high-level expressions of “solidarity with Hamas” and explicit defense of “their tactics of indiscriminately murdering civilians”; and the dismissal of any concern about anti-Semitism as “just the Zionists crying wolf.”

The zeitgeist on campuses these days, on both sides of the Atlantic, is one of identity and liberation politics. Jews, of course, are a minority, but through a fashionable cultural prism they are seen as the minority that isn’t — that is to say white, privileged and identified with an “imperialist-colonialist” state, Israel. They are the anti-victims in a prevalent culture of victimhood; Jews, it seems, are the sole historical victim whose claim is dubious.

SnyderTalk Comment: The political left is loaded with anti-Semites.  Hillary Clinton is one of them.  Her emails, the ones she tried desperately to prevent the Senate from seeing, prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt.

3: Avi Issacharoff—A West Bank Village, Home to 12 Recent “Martyrs,” Has Suddenly Gone Quiet:

Sa’ir, near Hebron, was home to 12 Palestinians who died in violence against Israel over the past five months, the highest number killed in any West Bank town in proportion to the population (18,000).

Why have the attacks from Sa’ir halted of late? Sa’ir Mayor Ka’id Jaradat of Fatah said, “I’m raising my son to become an engineer, let’s say, or a teacher. He should live in peace with his family, not go out to shoot anybody or engage in a terror attack. That was our message to everybody here in the village after all those martyrs.”

“The (PA) governor of Hebron came to the village, and we arranged a large meeting with all the dignitaries, clerics, teachers, school principals, representatives of the security agencies. Our message to all of them was: ‘We want our children alive.’ My message as a leader and representative was, ‘I don’t want the young people to commit attacks. I want them to live. Let’s keep our blood. We don’t need or want there to be martyrs every day.’ We conveyed this message to the young people via the schools and the mosques. We’ve tried to calm things down.”

“The teachers and the principals did not speak out against the martyrs. We never intended anything like that. But they did convey the message that a pupil who does well in his studies, who gets a full education, is the one who shows true steadfastness. He is actually the one who is protecting the Palestinians’ right to this land. In other words, those who remain are the successful ones. Not those who die. Those who die are gone, finished.”

4: Andrew Rettman—Palestinians joining exodus to EU, says PLO’s Erekat:

Palestinians are joining the Middle East exodus to Europe in greater numbers because of the Syria war and Israeli occupation, a senior Palestinian official has said.

Saeb Erekat, the secretary general of the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO), told EUobserver from Ramallah in the West Bank that “thousands” had already left for Europe.

“What other options have they? We have people dying of starvation in al-Yarmouk refugee camp [in Syria], and thousands of Palestinians leaving Syria and Lebanon trying to reach Europe,” he said.

“The UN has said that Gaza will be unfit for human habitation by 2020, but Israel’s siege of Gaza continues.”

SnyderTalk Comment: These are the kinds of lies that ignorant and naïve Palestinian donors believe.  Repeating these false claims makes them liars, too.

According to the Palestinian and Hamas charters, their only reason for being is the destruction of Israel.  It’s no surprise they are losing.

Yahweh can’t be stopped.  He will fulfill His promises, every single one of them.  Anyone standing in His way will pay the price.  Some of them will repent, but most won’t.  The consequence for those who don’t repent will be horrific, and they are doing it to themselves.

Fleeing to Europe or the U.S. will have no effect.  They can’t run far enough or fast enough to escape Yahweh’s vengeance.

“Vengeance is Mine, and retribution, in due time their foot will slip; for the day of their calamity is near, and the impending things are hastening upon them.” (Deuteronomy 32: 35)

Jonah learned this lesson the hard way and he survived: when Yahweh speaks, listen and obey.

People of faith will do just that.  Others won’t, and they won’t survive.

5: Susan Warner—Methodists Restarting BDS War Against Israel

On May 10, 2016, the General Conference of the United Methodist Church (UMC) will gather at the Oregon Convention Center, hosting thousands of Methodist leaders, delegates and visitors.

This leading policy-making event meets once every four years to revise church law and adopt resolutions on current moral, social, public policy and economic issues. The conference also approves plans and budgets for church-wide programs.

This year, four new proposals in support of the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement are being prepared for consideration of the general assembly during the 10-day event.

SnyderTalk Comment: I would love to know what the Methodists in question think they are accomplishing.  I know what they are actually doing, but I don’t think they have any idea.

Balaam has compatriots in the Methodist church.  They remind me of the ignorant and naïve Palestinian donors that I talked about in my editorial in the SnyderTalk post.

“The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.” (John 17: 22-24)
