No More Affirmative Action Presidents

A Jerusalem Post article titled “White House surprised Netanyahu nixed meeting with Obama” is telling:

The White House was surprised to learn from the media on Monday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had turned down an invitation to meet with US President Barack Obama in Washington DC on March 18th. It had issued the invitation at Israel’s request.

The two leaders last spoke face-to-face in November. That much anticipated meeting followed a long tense period between Netanyahu and Obama over their disagreement with regard to the Iran deal designed to curb Iran’s nuclear program.

Netanyahu had considered traveling to Washington later this month to address the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) which is holding its annual conference on March 20-22.

“The Israeli government requested a meeting between President Obama and Prime Minister Netanyahu on March 17 or 18,” National Security Council spokesman Ned Price told The Jerusalem Post.

“Two weeks ago, the White House offered the prime minister a meeting on March 18th. We were looking forward to hosting the bilateral meeting, and we were surprised to first learn via media reports that the prime minister, rather than accept our invitation, opted to cancel his visit. Reports that we were not able to accommodate the prime minister’s schedule are false,” Price said.

The Prime Minister’s Office on Monday night said that Netanyahu would address AIPAC via satellite and would not travel to the US.

Prime Minister Netanyahu is a classy guy.  Not giving Obama a courtesy call is the worst he would do.

On the other hand, Barack Obama’s behavior toward Netanyahu over the past 7+ years has been crude, rude, condescending, and inexcusable.  Obama has no class.

The fact that Obama was surprised Netanyahu turned down the opportunity to meet with him tells us just how deluded our president is.  The elected office he holds is the only reason that Netanyahu and many other world leaders would even speak to Obama.

They don’t like him, and they don’t trust him.  Who can blame them?

Obama will go down in history as an Affirmative Action president.  He’s the only Affirmative Action president the U.S. has ever had.  Obama’s skin color (half white and half black) won him the highest elected office in the land, and his parents did that for him.  Obama’s “accomplishments” in office are anything but positive.

Some will argue that Obama’s admission to Harvard Law School and his election as President of the Harvard Law Review suggest that he is an intelligent person with real achievements.  A New York Times article written at the time titled “First Black Elected to Head Harvard’s Law Review” tells the true story in a roundabout way:

The Harvard Law Review, generally considered the most prestigious in the country, elected the first black president in its 104-year history today. The job is considered the highest student position at Harvard Law School.

The new president of the Review is Barack Obama, a 28-year-old graduate of Columbia University who spent four years heading a community development program for poor blacks on Chicago’s South Side before enrolling in law school. His late father, Barack Obama, was a finance minister in Kenya and his mother, Ann Dunham, is an American anthropologist now doing fieldwork in Indonesia. Mr. Obama was born in Hawaii.

“The fact that I’ve been elected shows a lot of progress,” Mr. Obama said today in an interview. “It’s encouraging.”

Obama’s election as President of HLR was the accomplishment.  He did nothing as president except hold office.  He didn’t write even one article for HLR.  That was a first, too.

Obama’s admission to Harvard Law School and Columbia were Affirmative Action admissions.  Why do you think Obama has gone to great lengths to keep his academic records and the academic records of his wife sealed?  They have done more to protect those secrets than they have done to protect our nation’s most closely guarded secrets.

I’ve said this before and I will say it again, we can’t afford another Affirmative Action president.  If elected, that’s what Hillary Clinton would be.  Her “accomplishments” are abysmal, even criminal.

Hillary thinks we owe her the Oval Office.  I think she has earned a prison cell.

1: Ingrid Carlqvist—Sweden: Sexual Assaults at Swimming Pools

Men and women, in a Swedish tradition, have swum together in public pools for over 100 years. Many people are now wondering if we will be forced to give up this practice — because young male asylum seekers have turned public swimming pools into ordeals of rape and sexual assault.

Mixed bathing in Sweden started in the small southern fishing village of Mölle. Around 1890, the “Sin of Mölle” gained notoriety. Men and women were swimming together! Out in the open and shamelessly flaunting their striped bathing attire. It was a sensation that echoed all over Europe, and people came from everywhere to partake in the exciting new activity. Danes poured in, and even the German Emperor Wilhelm II made his way to Mölle in July 1907.

It should come as surprise to no one that men from the Middle East and North Africa have quite a different view of women than Swedish men do. The only mystery is why Swedish politicians have got it in their heads that everyone who sets foot on Swedish soil will immediately embrace our values, our view of women and our traditions.

Now that it is finally beginning to dawn on them that many Afghan, Somali, Iraqi and Syrian men (the largest immigrant groups coming to Sweden now) think that women who run around scantily clad are fair game, the politicians are dumbfounded. Of course, they cannot admit that this — to Swedes — completely alien view of women has anything to do with Islam, because then they would become victims of their own claim that everyone who criticizes Islam is an “Islamophobe.”

SnyderTalk Comment: Where Islam is concerned, there are 3 simple truths that everyone needs to understand:

  1. “Ordinary peaceful Muslims” aren’t really Muslims.
  2. “Islamophobes” are people who understand reality as it pertains to Islam.
  3. People who don’t understand # 1 and # 2 are good candidates for deportation to Dumbassistan.

2: RTAngry Calais residents protest in Paris over migrant crisis (photos and videos):

Hundreds of Calais residents have arrived in Paris to protest against the deteriorating economic situation in their region, which they say has been caused by the migrant crisis. RT is accompanying the protesters.

“There were many tourists, not only English, but also Belgians. They no longer come. Tourism agencies do not encourage them to go to Calais. It’s sad,” one of the protesters told RT France.

3: The IndependentIn Turkey, press freedom has now hit an all-time low thanks to Erdogan:

As a frequent contributor to Today’s Zaman, the English-language edition of Turkey’s largest daily newspaper Zaman, I was shocked by the Turkish government’s takeover on Friday of the Feza Media Group. Apart from Zaman and Today’s Zaman, this group includes the Cihan News Agency, a magazine and a publisher.

But it should not have come as a surprise. Since the inappropriately named Justice and Development Party (AKP) came to power in 2002, there has under its leader and now president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, been a regression in individual rights, including freedom of expression and press freedom. While Erdogan claimed over a year ago that “nowhere in the world is the press freer than in Turkey”, his actions clearly belie his words.

4: Jerusalem PostAbdullah: ‘Israeli violations on Temple Mount dangerously increased lately’:

Jordan’s King Abdullah II has fiercely condemned “Israeli violations on Temple Mount,” claiming that they have recently increased “systematically and dangerously.”

In a speech delivered on Monday by Prince El Hassan bin Talal on the king’s behalf during the extraordinary session of the Islamic Summit conference currently taking place in Jakarta, the king stated: “Israeli infringements of international law in occupied Jerusalem have recently increased in a dangerous way.”

The king stated: “As the defender of Jerusalem’s holy places, Jordan acted and will keep acting against Israeli violations until east Jerusalem will be liberated from Israeli occupation.”

SnyderTalk Comment: Every time I see something idiotic like this, I think about the terrible decision in 1967 not to take complete control of the Temple Mount. That decision was made by Defense Minister Moshe Dayan with the approval of Prime Minister Levi Eshkol.

What were they thinking?

5: Voice of AmericaTurkey Asks EU for Additional $3B to Help Stem Migrant Flow:

Ankara wants the European Union to double the aid it is is giving to Turkey to deal with the migrant crisis, the European Parliament’s president said Monday.

As EU representatives discussed the crisis with their Turkish counterparts at a summit in Brussels and thousands of people remained stranded at the Greece-Macedonia border, European Parliament President Martin Schulz said Turkey had asked for an additional $3.3 billion to help curb the flow of migrants to the continent.

Last November, the EU agreed to give Ankara $3.3 billion for help in dealing with the refugee crisis.

SnyderTalk Comment: This sounds like extortion to me.

Erdogan is an Islamist.  Islamists have infiltrated the “refugee” ranks.  Europe has had it with “refugees”.

Why don’t their Arab neighbors take the “refugees” in?  After all, they are Arabs.

Answer: Leaders in Arab nations have more common sense than European leaders.

6: Arutz ShevaPM’s brother-in-law: Abandon Likud if Judea-Samaria not annexed:

The brother-in-law of Israeli Prime Minister and Likud party leader Binyamin Netanyahu has called on Likud voters to abandon the party at the next elections if the PM does not formally abandon the “two-state solution” and annex Area C in Judea and Samaria.

Dr. Hagai Ben Artzi, a prominent Israeli academic and outspoken nationalist, urged Netanyahu to adopt a plan proposed by the Jewish Home party leader, Education Minister Naftali Bennett, to cement Israeli control over regions of Judea-Samaria with Jewish populations. Under the Oslo Accords, Area C – where all of Judea and Samaria’s Jewish residents live, along with roughly 50,000 Palestinian Arabs – is under full Israeli control, while Areas A and B are under full and partial Palestinian Authority control respectively.

Under the so-called “Bennett Plan”, Israel would give the PA full autonomy over both Areas A and B, while Area C would be fully annexed as Israeli territory.

Dr. Ben Artzi made his comments during last week’s “33-hour vigil” outside the Prime Minister’s Resident in Jerusalem, which was led last week by the Women in Green movement (WiG).

He noted that as things stand, with the PA already granted de-facto autonomy in Judea and Samaria, only the Jewish population of that region effectively live under Israeli military rule, denying them certain rights – particularly vis-a-vis housing and other construction – which they would receive under full Israeli sovereignty.

SnyderTalk Comment: Thankfully, there is a growing recognition that Judea and Samaria belong to Israel.  The political heat is building.  Is it hot enough yet to annex Judea and Samaria?

I don’t think so, but we’ll see.  I’ll check it out in a few weeks.

7: Algemeiner—BDS Suffers Setbacks at 3 US Campuses in Single Week:

Over the past week, the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign against Israel has suffered setbacks on three major American campuses: Vassar College, Northeastern University and the University of Indianapolis.

SnyderTalk Comment: The BDS movement is far from over.  Do-gooders are doing more damage than they realize.  Palestinians are the people they are hurting most.

Maybe do-gooders will convince Israel that annexing Judea and Samaria is the best thing they can do.

8: Jerusalem PostReport: Israeli intel prompts Russia to freeze missile delivery to Iran:

Russian President Vladimir Putin has suspended the transfer of S-300 surface-to-air missiles to Iran in light of Tehran’s violation of an earlier pledge not to provide sophisticated Russian-made weaponry to the Lebanese Shi’ite group Hezbollah, according to a report Saturday in the Kuwaiti daily Al Jarida.

A senior source told the newspaper that the Russian leader elected to punish the Iranian regime after Israel supplied him with clear-cut evidence that Tehran had given its proxy Hezbollah SA-22 surface-to-air missiles.

The intelligence information was corroborated by reports from Russian pilots flying their fighter jets over Lebanon and Syria.

The Russian air force anti-missile radars were able to detect SA-22 systems stashed in regions of Lebanon that are under the control of the Shi’ite militia.

During his speech before the United Nations General Assembly this past fall, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed a number of new details regarding Hezbollah’s re-stocking of its weapons arsenal with the help of Iran and Syria.

The premier said that Hezbollah had managed to smuggle advanced SA-22 missiles into Lebanon as well as Yakhont surface-to-sea precision missiles.

Foreign media reports from April of last year indicate that Israel’s air force attacked Hezbollah bases in Lebanon that were outfitted with SA-22.

The Israeli military is hardly concerned about the older SA-5 model surface-to-air missile that is currently rusting in Hezbollah’s stockpiles, for these are considered unreliable and ineffective.

SA-22 missiles, however, could pose a threat to Israeli fighter jets who enjoy relative freedom of operation in the skies over Lebanon.

“The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.” (John 17: 22-24)
