The Trump Effect is Producing Results
You can say what you want about Donald Trump’s readiness to assume command, but with a few well-chosen words he has moved the needle on Immigration and terrorism more than all the Democrats and Republicans in Congress and the White House over the last several decades.
I call it The Trump Effect, and it’s producing results right now.
CNN ran an article that reveals undeniable evidence of The Trump Effect:
Calling Muslim extremism a disease, Saudi Arabia has announced the formation of a coalition of 34 Islamic nations to fight terrorism.
“This announcement comes from the Islamic world’s vigilance in fighting this disease so it can be a partner, as a group of countries, in the fight against this disease,” Saudi Deputy Crown Prince and Defense Minister Mohammed bin Salman said.
The coalition’s formation comes as the West has stepped up its war against ISIS, which is also known by its Arabic acronym Daesh.
“Today there are a number of countries that suffer from terrorism, for example Daesh in Syria and Iraq; terrorism in Sinai, terrorism in Yemen, terrorism in Libya, terrorism in Mali, terrorism in Nigeria, terrorism in Pakistan, terrorism in Afghanistan and this requires a very strong effort to fight,” Salman said. “Without a doubt, there will be coordination in these efforts.”
Coalition’s joint operations center will be based in Riyadh.
In addition to Saudi Arabia, the coalition will include Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Benin, Turkey, Chad, Togo, Tunisia, Djibouti, Senegal, Sudan, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Gabon, Guinea, the Palestinians, Comoros, Qatar, Cote d’Ivoire, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Maldives, Mali, Malaysia, Egypt, Morocco, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria and Yemen.
It’s no coincidence that Saudi Arabia decided that now is the time to take action. It’s not an accident that 34 Muslim nations signed up for the mission.
All of them know that Trump means business and that, despite what naysayers want us to believe about him, he can win the presidency.
Leaders in Muslim nations keep up with the news. They know that Trump’s lead in the polls is growing. They also know that if they don’t do something fast, President Trump will do it for them. In other words, they aren’t fools.
This is my take on it: Trump may or may not become president, but having him in the race is a very good thing. He has made life in Washington difficult for career politicians by telling the American people what they have been longing to hear for a very long time. On top of that, Islamists are getting the message. Next to Trump, Obama looks like what he is, a big talker with false teeth.
Don’t interpret my remarks as an endorsement of Trump. I’m just giving credit where credit is due.
I’ll say this without hesitation: I would vote for Trump over any Democrat. I already know what they stand for, and it’s not good.
To be brutally honest, those Islamic nations are not serious. If they were, they would have done something long before now. This is how I KNOW they are just putting on a show:
- Saudi Arabia has been funding terrorism through mosques around the world for years.
- Palestinians are funding terrorist attacks in Israel right now.
- Somalia is a terrorist cesspool.
- Lebanon is in bed with Hezbollah, a terrorist organization.
- Turkey under Erdogan has become an Islamist state.

Let’s hope that Turkey’s attitude toward Israel changes. They used to be good friends. Then came Erdogan. Watch the video below for more details:

Iran didn’t make the Saudi list. Why?
Actually, I know the answer. Iran is the largest state sponsor of terrorism in the world today. At least Iranian leaders had the common decency not to be hypocritical by signing up for publicity purposes. Besides, Saudi Arabia and Iran are fighting a proxy war in Yemen. They aren’t likely to join forces on anything.
Obama could learn something from the Iranians, but he won’t. He doesn’t learn. That’s a fact.
As long as any nation in the world is willing to sponsor terrorists and provide them with safe havens, we will have trouble. We learned that lesson from Afghanistan.
As long as political leaders talk for show and produce no results, the problem will continue to grow. What we have now in Europe and the U.S. are mealy-mouth cowards who are pretending to be tough.
Putin is doing more than talking. Trump is just talking now because he isn’t president, but people know that he’s not bluffing. Both of them deserve credit.
This is an interesting unrelated question: why is it okay to call them “Islamic nations” but it’s not okay to call Israel a Jewish state?
I know the answer to that question, too.

Los Angeles Times—All LAUSD schools closed by ‘credible threat’ of violence:
Officials closed all Los Angeles Unified School District campuses Tuesday morning after receiving a “credible threat” of violence involving backpacks and packages left at campuses.
Authorities said they plan a search operation of all the LAUSD’s more than 900 schools. The nation’s second-largest school district has more than 700,000 students.
“I think it’s important to take this precaution based on what has happened recently and what has happened in the past,” LAUSD Superintendent Ramon Cortines said.
The move comes less than two weeks after two shooters killed 14 people in San Bernardino in what was the deadliest terrorist attack on U.S. soil since 9/11.

Judith Bergman—Facebook Is ‘Safe Space’ for Muslims But Not for Jews:
There is something very tasteless about Facebook owner Mark Zuckerberg’s statement last week in the wake of the San Bernardino terrorist attack, perpetrated by Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik. The husband and wife opened fire at a Christmas party attended by Farook’s colleagues, killing 14 of them while wounding many others. Zuckerberg’s statement contained not one word of condemnation against the terrorist attack. It failed to mention the immense incitement taking place on social media, notably on Facebook, which encourages the kind of attack committed in San Bernardino. No, his statement was about ensuring that Facebook would be a “safe space” for Muslims.
“I want to add my voice in support of Muslims in our community and around the world,” Zuckerberg said. “After the Paris attacks and hate this week, I can only imagine the fear Muslims feel that they will be persecuted for the actions of others. As a Jew, my parents taught me that we must stand up against attacks on all communities. Even if an attack isn’t against you today, in time attacks on freedom for anyone will hurt everyone. If you’re a Muslim in this community, as the leader of Facebook I want you to know that you are always welcome here and that we will fight to protect your rights and create a peaceful and safe environment for you.”
“Safe spaces” are a big thing for liberal Americans, practiced ad nauseam on American campuses with sinister results. It usually implies being coddled and spared from opinions other than your own, which in American liberal terms usually means opinions that are not on the left side of the middle. It almost always entails the curtailing of free speech.
Andrew G. Bostom—Deobandi Butchery in San Bernardino: 1977 Roots of the Jihad Carnage:
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) whistleblower Philip Haney made a startling series of revelations Thursday evening (12/10/15) on Fox News’ The Kelly File. Haney described how he began investigating scores of individuals with links to the traditionalist Islamic Indo-Pakistani Deobandi movement, and its related offshoots, prominently, Tablighi Jamaat. He maintained the groups were exploiting the visa waiver program to transport suspected jihadist operatives in and out of the U.S., thus he started tracking them, and recording these findings within a DHS database. Haney’s efforts (as summarized by Chuck Ross of the Daily Caller) were eventually noticed by the National Targeting Center (NTC), which operates as an umbrella organization in U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Haney was subsequently asked to work for the NTC and rivet his attention on these Deobandi-related organizations. Over the course of his investigation, Haney received an award for identifying more than 300 potential jihad terrorists with links to the Deobandi affiliates.
Tablighi Jamaat certainly merited the attention Haney was giving it, having been connected to a series of jihad terrorist attacks, which included targeting the U.S.: the October, 2002 Portland (Oregon) Seven, and September, 2002 Lackawanna (New York) Six cases; an Aug. 2006 plot to bomb airliners en route from London to the U.S.; attempted bombings in London and Glasgow, Scotland, in July 2007; and involvement in the July 7, 2005, London bombings, which killed 52 and injured more than 700. French investigators have further estimated Tablighi Jamaat ideological indoctrination was associated with 80% of their jihad terror cases.
Haney’s fastidious investigations raised serious concerns about the San Bernardino Deobandi movement-affiliated Darul-Uloom al-Islamia mosque—attended by jihad-waging killer Syed Farook. In addition, Farook’s jihadist accomplice wife, Tashfeen Malik, attended a traditionalist Islamic education center in Pakistan, also connected with the Deobandi movement. Notwithstanding his patriotic, yeoman efforts, DHS shut down Haney’s probe, and revoked both his security clearance and access to the databases he compiled. Retributive investigations against Haney by DHS and the Obama Justice Department, however, revealed no wrongdoing on his part. Tragically, as Haney explained, had his probe not been terminated for alleged “civil rights violations” of jihad-indoctrinated Muslim followers of the Deobandi movement:
Either Syed would have been put on the no-fly list because association with that mosque, and/or the K-1 visa that his wife was given may have been denied because of his association with a known organization.
The Deobandi-linked jihad carnage that transpired in San Bernardino has much deeper roots, not only on the Indian subcontinent, but dating from at least 1977, within North America, as well.
Foreign Policy—Khamenei’s Counterrevolution Is Underway:
It was, in the words of the Washington Post‘s executive editor, Martin Baron, “the grimmest” of milestones. On Dec. 3, Jason Rezaian, the newspaper’s Tehran correspondent, spent his 500th day in Evin Prison. He has now been detained in the Iranian capital two months longer than the 52 Americans who were held captive in the U.S. embassy by radical students who stormed the building in 1979, heralding a revolution and the end of Iran’s formal diplomatic relations with America.
For the moment at least, the prospect of Rezaian being freed appears based more on hope than solid facts. There is no sign Iran’s judiciary, in spite of last summer’s nuclear deal with the West, is softening its stance. If anything, it has been sending strong indications that it will refuse to be influenced by outside pressure. On Nov. 22, a judiciary spokesman in Tehran confirmed Rezaian had been convicted on charges of espionage and that his punishment included jail time. The length of his prison sentence was not disclosed; the offenses are thought to carry a maximum jail term of 20 years.
Having first warned of foreign “infiltration” in September, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei took an even harsher line on Nov. 25. “There is a deceitful, crafty, skillful, fraudulent, and devilish enemy,” he told commanders of the Basij militia, a volunteer paramilitary force that takes orders from the country’s powerful Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps. “Who is that enemy? Arrogance. Of course today, the manifestation of arrogance is America.”
Khamenei went further, suggesting foreign investment and cultural influences would be the first way the West would try to bring down Iran’s Islamic system. “The most important means are two things: One is money and another is sexual attraction,” he said, warning that Iran’s “decision-makers and decision-builders” would be targeted by foreigners who want to change the beliefs and lifestyle of Iran’s people.
Reuters—Kerry seeks ‘real progress’ on Syria at Moscow talks:
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said he wanted to use a visit to Moscow on Tuesday to make “real progress” in narrowing differences with Russian leader Vladimir Putin over how to end the conflict in Syria.
Kerry is seeking to prepare the ground for a third round of talks of world powers on Syria but it was not clear if a meeting penciled in for Friday in New York would go ahead.
Russia and the United States have not reached agreement over the role of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in any political transition or over which rebel groups should be part of talks.
“I look forward to making real progress,” Kerry said at the start of talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
“I think the world benefits when powerful nations with a long history with each other have the ability to be able to find common ground,” he said.
SnyderTalk Comment: Kerry is seeking publicity. Putin doesn’t need any help from him.
Kerry wants a Nobel Prize. If he wins one, it will be a joke.
World Bulletin—Turkey keen on re-establishing trust with Russia:
Russia and Turkey should re-establish their trust-based relationship again, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said Monday.
In an interview with an Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, Cavusoglu said about the tense relations with Russia: “There is a limit to our patience”.
Relations between Ankara and Moscow have been tense since a Russian fighter jet which violated Turkish airspace was shot down by Turkish forces after repeated warnings on Nov. 24.
Cavusoglu also touched upon the Russian warship’s firing at a Turkish fishing vessel in the Aegean Sea on Sunday, saying: “Ours was only a fishing boat. Russian warship’s reaction seems exaggerated to me”.
On Sunday, Russia claimed sailors aboard the destroyer Smetlivy fired small arms as a warning to avoid a collision with a Turkish fishing vessel, some 22 kilometers (14 miles), off the coast of Greek island Lemnos.
The foreign minister said that Turkey was one of the first countries that put Daesh on the terrorist organizations list in October 2013.
“Finally, many countries have realized how dangerous Daesh is, as Turkey has been saying for years,” Cavusoglu said.

- The self-appointed P5+1, elected by no one but themselves, should be embarrassed to find that they have made a deal with no one but themselves.
- The media’s emphasis on the JCPOA has sadly neglected any in-depth coverage of Iran’s own comprehensive plan of action, which seems to consist of developing nuclear weapons, ballistic missiles and related systems to deliver them.
- The IAEA cannot even confirm with certainty that Iran does not already possess a nuclear bomb, and yet is not expected to challenge Tehran’s assertion that it ceased nuclear weapons development more than a decade ago.
- Although the U.S. also cannot be certain of Iran’s intentions, it would be advisable to assume that Iran means what it says: “Death to America” and “Death to Israel.”

Now consider this question: how can Islamic nations fight Islamist terrorism if they adhere to the Quran?
The answer should be obvious: they can’t, and therein lies the rub.
