If Obama Listened to Netanyahu, We Would be Better Off

Katie and I took our daughters to Spain several years ago.  While we were there, we decided to make the short trip across the Strait of Gibraltar to Morocco.

Crossing the Strait of Gibraltar wasn’t part of our original plan.  It was a whim.  The idea came to me at the top of the Rock of Gibraltar.  From there, you can see Morocco.  Some of our most enjoyable and rewarding excursions have come from jaunts like that.

Locals we had gotten to know told us that a trip to Morocco would be problematic because we had Israel stamps in our passports.  They said that there was a good chance we would be denied admission at the point of arrival.

Today, Israel won’t stamp your passport.  They give you a visa card instead.  Morocco isn’t the only offender.  Saudi Arabia is much worse.  It’s almost like a police state.

Restrictions based solely on religion make no sense.  Restrictions based on country of origin do.

It makes perfect sense to restrict admission of Syrian “refugees”, for example, because we know that Islamists are taking advantage of that situation to infiltrate Western countries with jihadists.

Properly vetting Syrian “refugees” is essential.  Not properly vetting them should be a criminal offense.

See “Islamic State Can Make Fake Syrian Passports: US Report”.  ISIS can do more than just make fake passports.  It’s winning the hearts and minds of jihadists around the world.  The real danger lies ahead because potential jihadists are living here among us already.  They came to our country a long time ago, and they are being indoctrinated by radical clerics at home and abroad.

I don’t like calling them clerics.  In reality, many of them are criminal co-conspirators.  They should be arrested.

Despite the obvious problems, Obama has banned Christian refugees from Syria, but he wants to freely admit Muslim “refugees”.  That tells us a lot about the way he thinks.

Obama’s criticism of Trump is hypocritical and dishonest.  When the history of Obama’s presidency is written, hypocrisy and dishonesty will stand out as hallmarks of his administration.

Trump said that he wants to ban all Muslims from entering the U.S.  That’s not a good idea.

Most Muslims are not a problem, but those who become Islamists after they enter the U.S. are a cause of concern.  Proper monitoring is essential.  That includes tracking radical clerics and their devotees inside mosques.  Obama won’t allow it.  That tells us a lot, too.

It also includes monitoring emails and social media activity.  Silicon Valley is a stumbling block in that regard because of encryption.  They need to change their ways or Congress should make the changes for them.

Many immigrants who have entered the U.S. legally haven’t been properly enculturated and assimilated, and we can’t properly vet many of the current crop of immigrants who want to come to the U.S. legally.  On top of that, we have a border security problem.  Millions of illegal immigrants have crossed our porous borders illegally and intend to stay.  We haven’t fixed that problem yet.

We have a lot of work to do.  Congress and the president talk about the problem, but that’s all they do.  Talk is cheap.  It’s time for action.

It’s just common sense.  If Obama has trouble figuring out how to do it, he should consult Prime Minister Netanyahu.  Israel has been dealing with this problem successfully for decades.

Will Obama consult Netanyahu?  Not a chance.

Trump should stop spouting off when his remarks make no sense and threaten to worsen an already bad situation.  Even so, nothing Trump has said or done so far would make me vote for Hillary Clinton if they end up running against one another.

I hope establishment Republicans are paying attention, but that may be asking too much.

See “Ben Carson joins Donald Trump in threatening to leave GOP”.

The website is loaded with factual information that proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that Yahweh is our Savior and that the Messiah is Yahweh.

I hope you will take a few minutes and explore the website.  I also hope you will share it with your friends and family.

It’s time for believers to tell the world about our God by His Name—Yahweh.

SnyderTalk Comment: This video is for all the Obama supporters in the U.S. who can’t see past the ends of their noses.

Obama is a joke around the world, but his U.S. supporters take him seriously.  I don’t.  I regret that we elected him, twice.

On the positive side, Obama is generating a lot of laughter in Egypt and other countries, too.  Maybe we should congratulate him for providing fodder for people who like to tell jokes.  He’s good at that.

Virtual JerusalemVatican Says Jews Don’t Need Christ to be Saved:

The Vatican says the Catholic Church must not try to convert Jews to Christianity.

Instead, the Catholic Church must work with Jews and Jewish institutions to further dialogue and mutually understand and fight anti-Semitism, according to the Vatican, which pledged “to do all that is possible with our Jewish friends to repel anti-Semitic tendencies.”

The statements came in a major document released Thursday by the Vatican’s Commission for Religious Relations with the Jews. It was issued to mark the 50th anniversary of Nostra Aetate, a declaration promulgated in 1965 by the Second Vatican Council that opened the door to formal Catholic-Jewish dialogue.

The new document, titled “The Gifts and Calling of God are Irrevocable,” discussed at length how Christianity is rooted in Judaism. Because of this, it said, the Church is “obliged to view evangelization to Jews, who believe in the one God, in a different manner from that to people of other religions and world views.”

SnyderTalk Comment: Confucius didn’t say this, but he should have: “When you don’t know what you are talking about, you should keep your mouth shut.”

I wish the pope and those who pretend to represent Christendom would stop making pronouncements.

There is only One Savior/Redeemer.  His Name is Yahweh.  Everyone needs to know it, Jewish people in particular.

Next, everyone needs to know who Yahweh is.  He is the Messiah.

Washington PostNetanyahu wants Palestinian violence linked to radical Islam:

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stepped up his rhetorical campaign to convince the world that the surge in Palestinian violence here is not born of frustration against Israel’s decades-long military occupation but instead is the work of radical Islam.

In a series of speeches and public pronouncements since the Paris attacks last month, Netanyahu has been urging the United States and the international community to view the latest wave of daily Palestinian knife, gun and vehicular attacks against Jewish Israelis as a part of a globalized assault by extremist Muslims against Western democracies.

“The terrorists are attacking in California or in Israel, or for that matter in Paris. They are attacking the very values that we hold dear — freedom, tolerance, diversity,” Netanyahu said Sunday.

SnyderTalk Comment: Palestinian violence is Islamist terrorism.  Refusing to admit it makes no sense.

That’s not an opinion.  It’s what Islamists are telling us.  Why won’t we believe that they mean what they say?

Gatestone Institute— Why Has the Church Abandoned the Christians of the Middle East?

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, was interviewed recently about the Paris attacks and asked about his reaction. “Like everyone else – first shock and horror and then a profound sadness…” he replied. “Saturday morning, I was out and as I was walking I was praying and saying: ‘God, why — why is this happening?'”

Welby is the principal head of the Anglican Church and the symbolic head of the Anglican Communion, which stands at around 85 million members worldwide and is the third largest communion in the world — after the Roman Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox Church. This is a man with an extremely high public profile, and millions of Christians looking to him for spiritual guidance.

But why is a man who is the symbolic head of 85 million Christians worldwide expressing shock at yet another terrorist attack perpetrated by the Islamic State? Had the Archbishop of Canterbury paid more than just fleeting attention to his fellow Christians in Iraq and Syria, he would know that the Islamic State has been slaughtering Christians in the Middle East since 2006. Between 2004 and 2006, before the Islamic State evolved out of Al Qaeda in Iraq, it hardly showed less zeal to root out Christianity even then.

The Archbishop had eleven years to get used to the idea of people being made homeless, exiled, tortured, raped, enslaved, beheaded and murdered for not being Muslims. How much more time did he need?

CNNFBI investigates California mosque fire:

A fire reported as a possible arson damaged a Southern California mosque on Friday, authorities reported.

Four or five people were praying inside the Islamic Society of the Coachella Valley when the fire started about noon, Riverside County Supervisor John Benoit told CNN affiliate KMIR.

Nobody was hurt and the fire was quickly put out, though it caused smoke damage throughout the building, CalFire said.

The FBI is investigating along with local authorities, said Laura Eimiller from the FBI’s Los Angeles division. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said on its Facebook page that the crime was reported as a possible arson, but it did not list a possible cause.

SnyderTalk Comment: Political leaders had better deal with the Islamist terrorist problem soon or vigilantes will do it for them.  When vigilantes go on a rampage, nothing good can come from it.  All of us will be at risk.

Matt Vespa—Contained? New Report Says There’s ‘Unprecedented’ ISIS Mobilization In The U.S.:

On November 12, President Obama said ISIS had been “contained.” The next day, ISIS launched a deadly terrorist attack in Paris that left 130 people dead. Guy has written about what appears to be a developing scandal within our intelligence community, specifically the suppression–or disregard–of intelligence about ISIS’s rise that didn’t necessarily fit the view of the Obama administration. Now, George Washington University’s Program on Extremism released a rather disconcerting report showing “unprecedented” “ISIS-related mobilization” in the United States:

Seventy-one individuals have been charged with ISIS-related activities since March 2014. Fifty-six have been arrested in 2015 alone, a record number of terrorism-related arrests for any year since 9/11.

[…]

The profiles of individuals involved in ISIS-related activities in the U.S. differ widely in race, age, social class, education, and family background. Their motivations are equally diverse and defy easy analysis.

[…]

ISIS-related radicalization is by no means limited to social media. While instances of purely web-driven, individual radicalization are numerous, in several cases U.S.-based individuals initially cultivated and later strengthened their interest in ISIS’s narrative through face-to-face relationships. In most cases online and offline dynamics complement one another.

The spectrum of U.S.-based sympathizers’ actual involvement with ISIS varies significantly, ranging from those who are merely inspired by its message to those few who reached mid-level leadership positions within the group.

[…]

The 71 indictments are merely the tip of the iceberg, as U.S. authorities estimate that the number of individuals linked to ISIS is much larger. Our researchers identified a few dozen individuals with reported ISIS links who have not been charged. Similar to those in the legal system, the “At-Large” cohort have no common profile.

Times of IsraelDropped for meeting Hamas, Rob Malley is now Obama’s ‘czar’ for tackling Islamic State:

President Barack Obama’s new “ISIL czar,” Robert Malley, has a long and sometimes controversial history at the center of US policymaking in the Middle East. He’s now taking on one of the toughest jobs in Washington: getting the struggling campaign against Islamic State militants on track while Obama refuses to entertain any wholesale strategy change.

Nearly 25 years after they were students together at Harvard Law School, these days Obama and Malley cross paths mostly in the Situation Room, where Malley’s role is to ensure the countless US agencies fighting IS work in tandem despite differing time zones, capabilities, even views about the conflict. At stake is an extremist threat that has started exporting violence from Syria and Iraq deep into the West, raising fears that the US is losing a battle that Obama concedes will still be raging when he leaves office.

Elevated to the role with little fanfare in late November, Malley’s appointment reflected an attempt to show that when it comes to IS, Obama wasn’t leaving anything to chance. The White House said Malley will serve as counterpart to Brett McGurk, the State Department official tasked with outreach to some five-dozen countries contributing to Obama’s coalition.

For Malley, the promotion completed an unusual return to the highest echelon of government, seven years after a political stir over revelations he’d met with the militant group Hamas.

The Daily BeastCan Americans Save Israel from Its Own Extremism?:

Isolated under Netanyahu, the editors of Israel’s leading liberal newspaper are coming to New York to try to restore a sense of reason.

The year 2016 is crucial for both Americans and Israelis. While Americans will go to the polls and elect their leader for the next four years, Israelis must decide whether the aggressive march toward rightwing extremism led by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu will be embraced or rejected.

Progressives in Israel feel powerless and contemplate leaving Israel for good. We need to get out of this melancholy spiral, stand up for peace, democracy and equality and reach out to like-minded people abroad, particularly in the United States, who worry about the direction of Israel in Netanyahu’s fourth term.

That’s why Haaretz has made the decision to expand its presence in the United States, where progressive values are welcomed, rather than dismissed as “aiding the enemy,” which is often the case with Netanyahu and his media choir.

SnyderTalk Comment: Headlines like this one are misleading.  “Extremists” in Israel are what Yahweh calls people of faith.

Read Hebrews chapter 11. You’ll find the names of many “extremists”.

People who buy the logic in this article are not believers no matter what they say or think.  It’s like saying, “I believe in Yahweh, but I don’t believe His promises.”

That’s what it means to be an unbeliever. Yahweh’s promises are all we have to rely on.

ExpressThree mosques shut down in anti-terror raids as officers seize 330 war weapons:

POLICE investigating the Paris terror attacks have shut down three mosques in a series of raids to close the net on Islamic extremists.

Police in France also arrested the owner of a revolver found during Wednesday’s raid, France’s Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said.

Security officials found jihadist documents at the mosque where yesterday’s raids took place.

They have placed nine people under house arrest. Another 22 have been banned from leaving the country Mr Cazeneuve said.

France has been under a state of emergency since 130 people were killed in a series of terror attacks in Paris on November 13. Since then, some 2,235 homes and buildings have been raided, 232 people taken into custody, and 334 weapons confiscated.

Cazeneuve said the number of weapons apprehended so far is staggering.

He said: “In 15 days we have seized one-third of the quantity of war-grade weapons that are normally seized in a year.”

APClinton intervened for firm after request to son-in-law:

As secretary of state, Hillary Clinton intervened in a request forwarded by her son-in-law on behalf of a deep-sea mining firm to meet with her or other State Department officials after one of the firm’s investors asked Chelsea Clinton’s husband for help setting up such contacts, according to the most recently released Clinton emails.

The lobbying effort on behalf of Neptune Minerals Inc. came while Clinton — now the leading Democratic presidential candidate — was advocating for an Obama administration push to win Senate approval for a sweeping Law of the Sea Treaty. The pact would have aided U.S. mining companies scouring for minerals in international waters, but the Republican-dominated Senate blocked it.

Clinton ordered a senior State Department official in August 2012 to look into the request. Her action came three months after an investor in the mining firm emailed Marc Mezvinsky, Chelsea Clinton’s husband and a partner in Eaglevale Partners LP, a New York hedge fund, asking for his help in setting up State Department contacts.

Clinton relayed a copy of the investor’s email to Thomas Nides, then a deputy secretary of state and now vice chairman at Morgan Stanley, a major New York financial services firm. “Could you have someone follow up on this request, which was forwarded to me?” Clinton asked Nides. He replied: “I’ll get on it.”

SnyderTalk Comment: Hillary Clinton is rotten to the core.  She’s a good Democrat.

The Clintons have been trying to get rich all along.  You might even say that their interest in politics is motivated by their interest in accumulating wealth.  That makes them a special breed of skunk.

There are many others like them.  Many of them hold high office at the federal, state, and local levels.

NewsweekTurkey Arrest Warrants Target Foes of Erdogan:

Turkey issued arrest warrants for U.S.-based cleric Fethullah Gulen and 66 others on Friday, state-run Anadolu Agency said, pressing President Tayyip Erdogan’s campaign to root out the influence of a former ally he accuses of trying to topple him.

A former ruling AK Party deputy was among five people held in operations across Turkey targeting the “parallel state” Erdogan accuses his former ally of secretly creating in police, judiciary and politics. The suspects all face accusations linked to association with a terrorist group.

The former ally, Ilhan Isbilen, resigned from the AK Party after a corruption investigation that touched Erdogan’s inner circle in 2013. The investigation was the final straw that broke relations with Gulen.

Erdogan has since moved to purge the police and judiciary of what he sees as a network of conspirators and terrorists at home and abroad.

Forty-three of those 67 sought by the police were abroad, local media reported.

Other suspects included the former editor-in-chief of the newspaper Daily Zaman, Ekrem Dumanli, the chief executive of the Koza Ipek group, Akın Ipek, and the president of Istanbul’s Fatih University.

The arrest warrant for Gulen is not the first issued against him in Turkey. There appears little likelihood the United States would extradite him from the state of Pennsylvania, where he has lived and worked with followers since March 1999.

SnyderTalk Comment: If you study Hitler and the Third Reich, you will discover that Erdogan is following Hitler’s playbook.

Warning to Jews in Turkey: get out now.

Warning to Israel: don’t trust Erdogan.  Keep your eyes on every move he makes.

Warning to thinking people in the U.S.: Don’t support Obama because he and Erdogan are working hand-in-hand.

Anadolu AgencyErdogan says Iraqi UN move against Turkey ‘not honest’:

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said Friday that Iraq’s complaint to the UN Security Council over a recent Turkish troop deployment in northern Iraq was “not a sincere step”.

According to a statement by the Iraqi Prime Ministry press office, the Iraqi foreign ministry was told to lodge a complaint concerning Turkish troops’ presence in Bashiqa, near Mosul.

“They can apply to the United Nations Security Council,” said Erdogan on Al Jazeera. “This is their natural right, but it is not a sincere step.”

Approximately 150 Turkish soldiers and 20 to 25 tanks were deployed near Mosul on Dec. 4 to reportedly replace training forces already in the area, leading to tensions between Ankara and Baghdad.

“During a visit to Turkey in 2014, [Iraqi PM Haider al-] Abadi demanded [Turkish troops] for training,” he said. “After these demands, we set up the Bashiqa camp. They are aware of all of this.”

“They [Turkish troops] are more a training team rather than a combative force,” said Erdogan, adding that the training program was part of the fight against Daesh.

The AlgemeinerMideast Analyst: Newly Approved Abbas Strategy Combines Terrorism, Lawfare to Attack Israel:

A double-pronged strategy approved by Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’s Fatah party this week combines terrorism in Israel with lawfare in the international arena, an Israeli analyst said on Tuesday.

In an article for Israel-based think tank Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs, political and military expert Lt. Col. (ret.) Jonathan D. Halevi spelled out the significance of decisions reached during a meeting of the Fatah Central Committee in Ramallah on Sunday.

Basing his account of the meeting’s details on reports in the Palestinian media, Halevi highlighted four key outcomes, in an attempt to explain the current security situation in Israel and provide context for future moves taken by the PA.

The first, said Halevi, was “total support for the knife terror and the Al-Quds [Arabic for Jerusalem] intifada.” The second: “Preparing to end the security cooperation with Israel.” The third was “continuing the lawfare against Israel in the international arena.” And the fourth – “claiming Palestinian ownership of the Western Wall.”

Gatestone Institute—EU Makes Up Bogus Laws to Target — Guess Who?:

  • Israel’s occupation of the West Bank is fully legal under the terms of UN Resolution 242 (1967), which was carefully drafted to guarantee Israel’s rights to remain there until such time as there is a “Termination of all claims or states of belligerency and respect for and acknowledgement of the sovereignty, territorial integrity and political independence of every State in the area and their right to live in peace within secure and recognized boundaries free from threats or acts of force.”
  • When the EU states that its aim is “to ensure the respect of Union positions and commitments in conformity with international law on the non-recognition by the Union of Israel’s sovereignty over the territories occupied by Israel since June 1967,” it refuses to recognize the validity of UN Resolution 242, and it gives no proper explanation of what is meant by “sovereignty.”
  • As only Israeli armed forces will be required to withdraw in the event that such boundaries are created, the presence of Israeli settlements there will remain legal under the terms of the original League of Nations Mandate for Palestine, which stipulates that there should be close Jewish settlement in all areas. Those Mandate provisions were incorporated in the UN Resolution 181, which established a Jewish and an Arab state.
  • The European Union has never demanded that China, Morocco, Russia, Pakistan or India — all with territories under dispute — label goods in ways like those demanded of Israel.
  • “The EU does not have a general set of rules for dealing with occupied territories, settlements or territorial administrations whose legality is not recognized by the EU. Rather, the EU has special restrictions aimed at Israel.” — Law Professors Eugene Kontorovich (Northwestern University) and Avi Bell (University of San Diego).

Exodus 31

1 Now Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “See, I have called by name Bezalel, the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. 3 I have filled him with the Spirit of God in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all kinds of craftsmanship, 4 to make artistic designs for work in gold, in silver, and in bronze, 5and in the cutting of stones for settings, and in the carving of wood, that he may work in all kinds of craftsmanship. 6 And behold, I Myself have appointed with him Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and in the hearts of all who are skillful I have put skill, that they may make all that I have commanded you: 7 the tent of meeting, and the ark of testimony, and the mercy seat upon it, and all the furniture of the tent, 8 the table also and its utensils, and the pure gold lampstand with all its utensils, and the altar of incense, 9 the altar of burnt offering also with all its utensils, and the laver and its stand, 10  the woven garments as well, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, with which to carry on their priesthood; 11 the anointing oil also, and the fragrant incense for the holy place, they are to make them according to all that I have commanded you.”

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
