Have we passed the point of no return? I think so.

I think we can see the point of no return in the rearview mirror. It probably doesn’t matter to most people. They aren’t looking ahead or behind. They are just moving.

I’m reminded of a Dennis the Menace cartoon that I saw many years ago. Dennis was walking in the woods with his pal Joey, and he said, “Joey, we may be lost, but we’re making good time.”

I shared it with my strategy and leadership students. They liked it as much as I did.

I don’t believe repentance is in the cards. To repent simply means to have a change of heart and go in the right direction.

There are so many examples. Let’s start with a twofer: abortion and gun rights. A few days ago, the Washington Post ran an article titled “Abortion rights groups: Political rhetoric contributed to shooting”. This is how the article began:

To many in the abortion rights community, it seemed only a matter of time before something like this happened.

Ever since the summer, when an antiabortion group accused Planned Parenthood of illegally selling fetal tissue, threats against the organization had escalated to unprecedented levels, abortion providers say. They stepped up collaboration with the FBI and local police and stiffened security at clinics. But on Friday, their worst fears came true: A man walked into a health center in Colorado Springs and opened fire.

Talk about not being able to see the forest for the trees. Condoning mass murder doesn’t bother them. Performing murder for hire is not a problem. Keeping babies alive long enough to harvest their parts…no big deal. But being targeted for committing those crimes is another story. It gets their attention.

Vigilante justice is not a good alternative, but anyone who thinks that government sponsored crime won’t have a backlash is living in a dream world. We live in a nation with more than 300 million people. A healthy number of those people will see righting those wrongs as their mission in life.

What was our president’s response? He said, “Enough is enough.” See “Obama urges gun control after Colorado Springs shooting: ‘Enough is enough’”.

Rather than addressing the serious problems with abortion on demand, Obama focused all of his attention on the criminal acts of a man whose motives were at least in part related to the butchery going on inside the clinic. Obama has many followers. The Democrat Party is in lockstep with him.

Politically, the Democrat Party represents a large percentage of our population, although not the majority. That’s proof that our nation is in trouble. They are some of the most self-righteous and arrogant people that I have ever known. Common sense and basic morals they don’t have.

Climate change is another example. The climate never stands still. It always changes. It’s been changing since creation. Human beings didn’t exist when climate change began.

In a nutshell, mankind’s actions have a negligible impact on the global environment. We can stop polluting our air and water by using common sense, but that will not alter the global climate at all. Air and water pollution are localized problems that demand localized solutions. The globe is a totally different animal.

There is a humorous side of the global warming argument. Los Angeles on a smoggy day is a sight to behold. You can’t see the sky, and the low-hanging mist is an eerie red. Los Angeles smog is a result of man-made pollutants and billow from cars, trucks, factories, etc. Those pollutants get trapped against the San Jacinto Mountains because they don’t have any other place to go. Santa Ana winds can blow the pollutants out in a matter of minutes, but Santa Ana winds contribute to forest fires and other problems.

The joke is that “deep thinking liberals” in Los Angeles blame their problem on global climate change and believe that everyone in the world should pay for the messes they make. I tell my friends in LA that a little puppy won’t urinate or defecate in his own bed.

All humor aside, right now a big meeting devoted to climate change is being held in Paris. All the big names are there, and news coverage is 24/7. Below are a few of the articles:

I wish that people who want to control the climate would do some digging. It doesn’t take much work. Others have done it for them. A little reading and common sense are the only things required.

For example, see “Antarctic Sea Ice Reaches New Record Maximum”. That finding was announced by NASA. You can’t argue that NASA is biased against government policy. To make that result public, the folks at NASA had to do a lot of handwringing, because it reveals how far off the mark our political leaders are. NASA gets its funding from the government.

The ice sheet over the Antarctic has been growing while man-made CO₂ emissions have been increasing. If those emissions were causing global warming, the ice sheet over the Antarctic would be shrinking. Truth is the globe has been cooling since the 1990s. That’s what the data shows.

There are many other examples, but I’ll leave it at that. If this subject interests you, read my novel Stand! It deals with the climate change fraud.

If this subject doesn’t interest you, you don’t know how much it is going to end up costing you. It will be a lot.

For the pièce de résistance, see “Obama Says US Embraces Its Responsibility For Climate Change”. That’s absurd. I wish that Obama was the only idiot in the room when he made that statement, but he wasn’t.

This much is certain: the tomfoolery masquerading as climate change problem solving is evidence that we have passed the point of no return. The best example of what I’m talking about is the one where “serious people” are blaming the rise of ISIS on climate change. That insane argument compares with the one where a U.S. congresswoman blamed the recent terrorist attack in Paris on gun ownership in the U.S.

As Ron White said, “You can’t fix stupid.”

What about this one: “Sex abuse against horses on the rise in Switzerland”.

Perversity knows no bounds. Legalizing perversity of any sort begs perverse people of all sorts to seek legitimacy by forcing their legislators to legalize their actions.

Legalizing beastiality is a hop, skip, and jump away from legalizing sodomy, and it’s heading our way. Before long, Europe will probably lead the way. “Horse lovers” will seek protection and start to campaign for their “rights” under the law. They will probably get what they want, and the U.S. will follow suit. Those who oppose it will be ridiculed the same way that those who oppose legalizing homosexuality are being ridiculed now.

If that sounds farfetched, remember that you heard it here.

There are many other perverse groups waiting in line for legal protection. For example, we have the man-boy sex group. We also have the man-girl sex group. That group believes little girls should be able to decide whether or not they want to have sex with grown men. How old should they be? In the Arab world today, 5-years-old is old enough.

Wake up women’s rights advocates.

There are many other examples. Any perversity you can imagine is a potential case, and there are too many of them to count.

This is the bottom line: the evidence convinces me that we have passed the point of no return. I think we are experiencing something like the days of Noah already.

Yahweh told Noah to build an ark. It took him more than 100 years to complete the task. At that time, there was no rain, so flooding was unheard of. Noah’s neighbors thought that he was crazy. They thought that until Yahweh closed the door of the ark behind Noah and his family.

All of Noah’s neighbors died because of their wickedness.

If I’m right, we are well into the End of Days, and a lot of wicked people are going to die.

The Messiah said, “Many are called, but few are chosen.” (Matthew 22: 14) I want to be part of the few.

Brian Walker—Moscow alleges Turkey shot down plane to protect oil trade with ISIS:

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan says he’ll resign if Moscow can prove its claim that Turkey shot down a Russian plane to protect its oil trade with ISIS.

“As soon as such a claim is proved, the nobility of our nation requires [me] to do this,” Erdogan told reporters at the climate change summit in Paris on Monday.

But, he added, if the allegations are untrue, then Russian President Vladimir Putin should resign.

“I am asking Mr. Putin, would you remain?”

And so goes the escalating war of words between the two nations which began after Turkish aircraft shot down a Russian warplane near its border with Syria on November 24. The pilot died.

Turkey says the plane was in its airspace; Russia it was bombing ISIS targets.

On Monday, Putin alleged than downing the plane in the name of defending airspace was just a pretext.

“We have recently received additional reports that confirm that oil from ISIL-controlled territories is delivered to the territory of Turkey on an industrial scale,” he said, according to TASS news agency. ISIS is also referred to as ISIL.

“We have all grounds to suspect that the decision to down our plane was motivated by the intention to secure these routes of delivering oil to ports where it is loaded on tankers,” he said.

SnyderTalk Comment: Putin’s conclusion is consistent with the kind of person Erdogan is. He’s an unreliable partner and an untrustworthy human being.

Yonah Jeremy Bob—Court sentences 3 for planning to kill Jews praying on Temple Mount:

The Jerusalem District Court on Monday sentenced three east Jerusalem Arabs for conspiring to carry out shooting and kidnapping attacks against Jews praying on the Temple Mount and security forces posted in east Jerusalem.

Jalal Koutoub was sentenced to 13 years in prison for assisting the enemy in a time of war, conspiracy to commit murder and kidnapping, two counts of attempted murder, kidnapping for a murder and other crimes. Muhammed Shaar was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison for assisting the enemy in a time of war and attempted robbery, but not for any murder or kidnapping-related crimes.

Ahmad Bazalmit was sentenced to 3.5 years in prison for conspiracy to assist the enemy in a time of war and attempted robbery, but not for any murder or kidnapping-related crimes.

It was unclear what the status of the proceedings against the leader of the cell, Nor Hamdan, was, as well as two other defendants, Omar Vuzvuz and Amjad Raazam.

RT—RT reporter teargassed while filming unrest in Diyarbakir, Turkey:

An RT news crew has been caught in a tear gas attack by Turkish police in Diyarbakir. Police responded as Kurds were protesting the killing of a prominent lawyer, Tahir Elci, shot dead by unidentified gunmen while giving a public speech on Saturday.

“We came into the city center of Diyarbakir just now,” said RT correspondent William Whiteman. “The whole city had been on lockdown over night after there were sounds of heavy automatic gunfire and there were a lot of explosions during the night.”

He said the barricades in the city center were removed early on Monday morning and the RT crew tried to enter the center of Diyarbakir. They were looking to get to the spot where the lawyer Tahir Elci was shot.

“As soon as we arrived here there was a very tense situation and there were security forces out in full force in the streets with guns and we heard gunshots,” Whiteman reported.

Gregg Zoroya—Germany weighs sending 1200 troops to fight the Islamic State:

In the latest move to combat the Islamic State, Germany is weighing the dispatch of as many as 1,200 German troops to help defeat the militant group.

The troops would be used to operate and support reconnaissance aircraft, tanker planes and a warship, German Defense Ministry spokesman Jens Flosdorff said Monday, according to several news media.

The German Cabinet is expected to agree to the plan on Tuesday and send it to Parliament for its approval. Germany’s defense minister, Ursula von der Leyen, called for an alliance of nations to defeat the Islamic State, in a commentary published in theBild newspaper Monday. “Everything has to be directed towards the same goal: Weaken the Islamic State, limit its range of movement, destroy its training camps, win back city by city, destroy its oil revenue and break its aura of invincibility,” she wrote.

The U.S. has about 3,400 ground troops serving as advisers in Iraq in the struggle against the Islamic State, which has seized large swaths of Syria and Iraq, including the Iraqi cities of Mosul and Ramadi. Another 50 special operations troops are being sent to Syria.

Jerusalem Post— ‘Israel sees no sign that terror wave subsiding, IDF prepared for escalation’:

The current wave of terrorism does not seem to be ebbing, Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon said at the opening of a Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee meeting Monday.

“We don’t see any changes in the wave of terrorism; it is mostly attacks by individuals,” Ya’alon stated. “The wave of terrorism is not dwindling or being curbed.”

The Defense Minister said that the IDF is doing what it can to try to stop the terrorism, but that it is also prepared for an escalation.

Other arenas – northern and southern borders, Gaza, Sinai – remain quiet, he added.

Ya’alon also addressed haredi enlistment, saying that the IDF is likely to reach its target of 2700 haredi soldiers in 2015.

Jerusalem Post— ‘Every day in Jordan it seems there is a protest against Israel’:

After yet another protest of Jordanians against Israel, this time outside of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), an analyst who closely watches the country’s domestic politics told The Jerusalem Post on Monday that this has become a common occurrence.

Just about “every day it seems there is some new protest somewhere against Israel,” said Kirk Sowell, principal of Uticensis Risk Services, a Middle East-focused political risk firm.

The latest protest occurred on Sunday outside the UNDP offices in Amman, with protesters demanding that the agency revise its contracts with the British-Danish G4S security company, which also works in Israel, The Jordan Times reported.

Fadia Husseini, a member of a Jordanian group that organizes boycotts against companies and products linked to Israel, told the Jordanian newspaper that the company “provides security services for the ‘apartheid wall,’ for security checkpoints, and for a number of prisons and detention centers where many people are imprisoned, including children.”

Batsheva Sobelman: In Response to Labeling, Israel Suspends Diplomatic Contacts with EU on Middle East Peace Process—Two weeks after the European Union approved guidelines for labeling goods from Israeli settlements, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu instructed the Foreign Ministry to suspend diplomatic contacts with EU institutions on matters related to the peace process with the Palestinians. Netanyahu ordered a reassessment of EU institutions’ involvement in the diplomatic process and a halt of all related contacts until it is completed. The ministry stressed Sunday that Israel will continue to have diplomatic contacts with individual countries and that the ban applies only to European institutions.
