Shiryn Ghermezian—Palestinians Launch Fireworks, Wave Flags to Celebrate Brutal Murder of Israeli Couple:

Throngs of Palestinians took to the streets on Thursday night to celebrate the brutal slaying of an Israeli couple in a shooting attack in the West Bank.

The festivities included the launching of fireworks and the waving of flags in the streets, Ofir Gendelman, a spokesperson for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said.

Gendelman posted on Twitter a photo of the scene. Most of the flying banners were of the Palestinian Fatah faction, the armed wing of which claimed responsibility for the attack that killed Eitam and Naama Henkin. Revelers in Nablus, near the site of the shooting, set off fireworks, he said, adding that Palestinians on social media networks were “ecstatic” about the killings.

The Henkins, who were in their early 30s, were shot dead on Thursday night in northern Samaria while travelling in their vehicle near the Palestinian village of Beit Furik. Paramedics found them at the scene with bullet wounds to their torsos. Their four children, who were in the backseat of the car, were unharmed. The couple was buried on Har Hamenuchot in the Givat Shaul neighborhood of Jerusalem on Friday morning.

SnyderTalk Comment: The horrific murders of Eitam and Naama Henkin tell us a lot about the Palestinian community in Israel.  The butchers weren’t satisfied with committing a senseless act of brutality.   To leave a lasting impression, they did it in front of their small children.

These are the types of people with whom Israel must contend every day.  People like them represent only about 15% of the Palestinian population in Israel, but that’s a large number of people who have committed their lives to death and destruction.

Palestinians who make their way to the United States have a story to tell, and they take advantage of every opportunity to tell it.  Few of them are willing to tell the whole truth.

They like to talk about the mistreatment of their brothers and sisters by the Israeli government and the Israeli people.  That happens occasionally, but the reality is quite different.  The Israeli people are targets of Palestinian terrorists every day even in their own country.

They aren’t safe on the bus, walking down the street, or eating in a restaurant.  That’s what the terrorists want.  Their goal is to make Israeli people feel insecure in their daily lives.

Despite almost 70 years of nonstop attacks, Israel has blossomed.  It’s a thriving, creative place.  The whole world is the beneficiary of Israeli art, science, technology, and medicine.  Israeli contributions in these areas are incalculable.

As a group, Palestinians are net takers, not net givers.  They have robbed the world of hundreds of billions of dollars which they raise from foolish donors by telling lies.  Their perverse influence on the mainstream media and on university campuses can’t be denied and shouldn’t be underestimated.

While it’s true that only about 15% of the Palestinian community falls into the terrorist category, most of the other 85% joins in the celebrations of terrorist acts.  That’s telling.

As a group, Palestinians should be ashamed, but they are not.  We should be ashamed for believing them, but we are not.

Bassam Tawil—Palestinians: Why Our Leaders Are Hypocrites and Liars:

While Hamas and Islamic Jihad are continuing to exploit our teenagers in the Gaza Strip by training them to join the jihad against Jews and “infidels,” our leaders in the West Bank are committing a similar crime against Palestinian youths.

The Palestinian Authority (PA) leadership, headed by Mahmoud Abbas, who falsely describes himself as President of the State of Palestine, has been encouraging our teenagers to engage in the so-called “popular resistance” against Israel. But these leaders, including Abbas himself, are not willing to send their own children and grandchildren to participate in the “popular struggle.” As usual, our leaders want the children of others to take to the streets and throw stones and firebombs at Jews.

SnyderTalk Comment: As I have said before, Palestinians living in the U.S. resent people like me calling Palestinian leaders liars.  When they call me derogatory names for doing it, I say, “They aren’t liars because I say they are.  They are liars because they don’t tell the truth.”

That is a well-known fact inside the Palestinian community.  They simply don’t want the rest of us to know it.

There is a reason for that.  It undercuts their narrative by exposing reality.

Khaled Abu Toameh—Abbas’s Trap: The Big Bluff

After weeks of threatening to drop a bombshell during his speech before the UN General Assembly, Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas on September 30 proved once again that he is an expert in the art of bluffing.

In the end, the bombshell he and his aides promised to detonate at the UN turned out to be a collection of old threats to abrogate signed agreements and a smear campaign against Israel.

There was nothing dramatic or new in Abbas’s speech. During the past few years, he and some of his aides have been openly talking about the possibility of cancelling the Oslo Accords if Israel does not fulfill its obligations towards the peace process.

In his speech, Abbas repeated the same threat, although some Western political analysts and journalists misinterpreted it as an announcement that he was abrogating signed agreements with Israel.

David Horovitz—The impossible Abbas:

Benjamin Netanyahu can’t be an easy prime minister for Mahmoud Abbas to deal with. Unlike, say, Ehud Olmert.

Netanyahu hasn’t offered to relinquish Israeli sovereignty in the Old City in favor of an international tribunal, like Olmert did. Netanyahu has at times intimated some readiness for compromise in Jerusalem, but he hasn’t offered to divide the city into Israeli and Palestinian neighborhoods, like Olmert did. He’s indicated a readiness for West Bank territorial compromise, but not for a return to the pre-1967 lines with one-for-one land swaps, like Olmert did.

Except that Abbas didn’t accept Olmert’s dramatic, unprecedented 2008 peace offer. As Olmert subsequently detailed, Abbas failed to respond to it at all, even though it met all his professed territorial goals for a Palestinian state.

In a November 1, 2012, interview with Israel’s Channel 2 television, Abbas swore that, territorially, he had no demands on pre-1967 Israel. “Palestine now for me is ’67 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. This is now and forever,” he said. So why not take the Olmert deal?

In that same interview, Abbas declared that although he was born in Safed, in northern Israel, he did not feel he had a right to go back and again make it his home. “It’s my right to see it, but not to live there,” he said. So why, in the ill-fated John Kerry-brokered 2013-14 attempt at peacemaking, did Abbas insist that a “right of return” be available to millions of Palestinian refugees and their second, third and fourth generation descendants, a “right” that, if exercised, would constitute the death of Israel as a Jewish state?

Dr. Lawrence H. Schiffman—Rediscovering the City of David:

The exciting results of archaeological excavations of ancient Jerusalem have been coming forth steadily since the reunification of the city during the 1967 Six-Day War. More recently, the area of the City of David, to the south of the Temple Mount has been yielding amazing discoveries. Some of these were the subject of the City of David’s 16th annual conference, held in Jerusalem in early September. In an era in which the Jewish connection to Jerusalem and the historical nature of the First and Second Temples has been questioned by Palestinians and others, it’s hard to believe that rational people would not be convinced of the Jewish connection by the evidence that is being continuously uncovered.

The most recent discovery to be announced is a stepped stone platform the function of which is not yet definite and may in fact never be known. But an understanding of the context in which it was discovered will explain why this find is so important. The excavations, conducted by the Israel Antiquities Authority with the support of the Ir David Foundation, have already uncovered the public street built by King Herod (Hordos Hamelech, ruled 38-4 BCE). Adjacent to this street was the recently discovered stepped stone platform. Herod was the son of an Edomite named Antipater who had been forcibly converted to Judaism by Yochanan Kohen Gadol (John Hyrcanus), the Maccabean descendent who ruled over the Jews between 134-104 BCE. Herod’s mother was an Arab princess. He was, therefore, not halachically Jewish, but the Romans appointed him as a client king over Judea.

Alastair Macdonald, Barbara Lewis, and Tom Körkemeier—Insight – After VW, Germany needs EU friends to join its party:

[…]

Migration has proven even more divisive. Merkel’s unilateral suspension of EU rules to offer a welcome to Syrian refugees angered neighbours who accused her of encouraging the migrants’ treks across Europe.

A poisonous row in which national quotas for taking refugees — a key German demand — were imposed by majority vote has also raised questions about Berlin’s will to build EU consensus.

But for some in Brussels the Volkswagen scandal, while its full extent remains unclear, could have most impact by stiffening resistance to Berlin’s efforts to shield its key industries from more rapid environmental protection legislation and, more broadly, by calling into question the credibility of German leadership.

[…]

SnyderTalk Comment: This article is important because it explains why the EU is coming unglued.  The historical context it provides sheds light on where the EU is now and how it got there.  That insight is crucial in understanding what comes next.

Europe is in no position to make rational consensus decisions.  Mistrust among EU member states is at an all-time high, and increasingly Germany is seen as a bully.

That’s a grim reminder of the 20th century when Germany inflicted untold damage on Europe and the world.

There is no denying the fact that Germany is the economic engine that drives the European train, but her influence in other areas is felt and resented.  These conditions make all of Europe an easy target for jihadists many of whom are flooding in disguised as Muslim immigrants.

They will change the face of Europe.  Since the EU has done a very poor job of assimilating the Muslims in her midst already, adding thousands and potentially millions of jihadists to their ranks will only make matters worse.

It would be difficult to deal with this problem even if the member states were able to work together effectively.  Under current conditions, it’s impossible.

To a lesser extent, the U.S. faces similar problems.  We, too, have done a poor job of assimilating our Muslim minority.  We, too, have opened our doors to thousand of jihadists in disguise.  We, too, lack the political will to deal with the problems they have brought to our shores.

Bottom line: things are just beginning to heat up.  What we are seeing now gives us a glimpse at what is heading our way.

I believe we are witnessing the early days of another war to end all wars.  Think of it as Muslims vs. the world.

We didn’t start the war, and we have no choice except to fight.  The sooner we come to that realization, the better.  Delay in accepting reality will become increasingly costly in the days ahead.

Pretending that we don’t have a problem is suicidal.  Portraying people who point out the problem as the problem is absurd.

The person in this video characterizes the mindset of the jihadists in our midst.  It is foolish to ignore them or to minimize the threat that they represent.  The acts of butchery that they have committed and are committing in the U.S. and Europe are irrefutable evidence that they mean what they say.

Major Nidal Malik Hasan, the Fort Hood mass murderer, is one of them.  So is Alton Nolen, the Oklahoma man who beheaded Colleen Hufford.  So were Saïd and Chérif Kouachi , the Charlie Hebdo shooters.  So was Amedy Coulibaly, the kosher deli killer in Paris.  So are many of the yet to be identified random shooters of police officers in our country right now.

It would be ridiculous to conclude that there are only a few of them out there.  Islam is the only thing they have in common.

Following the kosher deli attack in Paris, President Obama said, “Look, the point is this: my first job is to protect the American people. It is entirely legitimate for the American people to be deeply concerned when you’ve got a bunch of violent, vicious zealots who behead people or randomly shoot a bunch of folks in a deli in Paris. We devote enormous resources to that, and it is right and appropriate for us to be vigilant and aggressive in trying to deal with that — the same way a big city mayor’s got to cut the crime rate down if he wants that city to thrive. But we also have to attend to a lot of other issues, and we’ve got to make sure we’re right-sizing our approach so that what we do isn’t counterproductive.”

These were not random acts perpetrated by violent, vicious zealots as the president said.  They were horrendous crimes committed by Muslims as their religious duty.  They are at war with the non-Muslim world.  To jihadists, “ordinary peaceful Muslims” aren’t Muslims at all.  They fall into the non-Muslim category, too.

President Obama and the Democrat Party hierarchy don’t get it.  Neither do most Democrats in Congress.  We don’t have time for them to see the light.  The 2016 election should be the end of the elected office phase of their political careers.

If they insist on continuing to talk pure nonsense, fine.  Let them.  It’s their constitutionally protected right, but they should not be elected to lead.

That’s not a partisan political statement.  It’s a statement of fact.

JTA—Arab-Israeli MK: Jews Have No Connection to Temple Mount:

An Arab Israeli Knesset member said Jews have no proven historical connection to the Temple Mount and no reason to visit it.

In an interview Friday in a Hebrew-language publication, Joint Arab List MK Hanin Zoabi said, “The name is al-Aqsa, not the Temple Mount, and there is nothing there for Jews,” the Times of Israel reported.

Al-Aqsa is the name of a mosque located on the Temple Mount, a compound in Jerusalem’s Old City that Muslims call Haram al Sarif (Noble Sanctuary). The compound, which has experienced considerable tension and violence in recent months, is arguably the most contested religious site in the world: the holiest site in Judaism and third holiest site in Islam.

Zoabi, who is 46 and Muslim, served in the previous two Knessets as well as this one. In Friday’s interview she said the Temple Mount, which is adjacent to the Western Wall, is “a place for Muslims only, according to all the agreements signed after the occupation of Jerusalem, and the agreements between Jordan and Israel.

“The Israelis understood that they occupied Jerusalem but are not allowed to occupy al-Aqsa; now they are trying to occupy al-Aqsa too,” she added.

When a reporter asked if she acknowledges that Judaism’s first and second temples once stood on the site, Zoabi said the temple “is not part of the political reality in which we live.”

SnyderTalk Comment: Lying is so commonplace in the Palestinian community that many of them don’t give it a second thought.  They lie with a straight face and are insulted if you suggest that they are wrong.

Palestinians have lied about Jewish people, Israel, the Promised Land, and the Temple Mount for so long that most of them accept the lies as facts.  I think that’s why they lie so convincingly.

A Palestinian “Christian” who hates Israel (that’s not possible) once told me that he was a descendant of the first Christians because he was from Palestine.  He’s an educated man and well-spoken.  I asked him if he knew that Jesus was Jewish and that all of His disciples were Jewish.  His face turned red.  Then, I asked him if he was Jewish.  He really didn’t like that.

I know that saying these things so bluntly is offensive to them, but I have no choice.  I’m not concerned about their occasional misstatements that can be corrected easily with facts if people are willing to consider facts.

I’m concerned about the lies that keep on reappearing again and again despite the facts.  They are coming from the highest echelons of Palestinian government.  Even worse, world leaders who know better or should know better act as though they believe the lies.  Barack Obama is one of them.

Pamela Geller—Obama Administration and UN Announce Global Police Force to Fight “Extremism” in U.S.:

On Wednesday, Attorney General Loretta Lynch announced at the United Nations that her office would be working in several American cities to form what she called the Strong Cities Network (SCN), a law enforcement initiative that would encompass the globe.

This amounts to nothing less than the overriding of American laws, up to and including the United States Constitution, in favor of United Nations laws that would henceforth be implemented in the United States itself – without any consultation of Congress at all.

The United Nations is a sharia-compliant world body, and Obama, speaking there just days ago, insisted that “violent extremism” is not exclusive to Islam (which it is). Obama is redefining jihad terror to include everyone but the jihadists. So will the UN, driven largely by the sharia-enforcing Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the pro-Islamic post-American President Obama, use a “global police force” to crush counter-jihad forces?

SnyderTalk Comment: Things are happening very quickly now.  All of us need to pay attention.

Nicholas Erickson—Judge repeats gun rights slogan during sentencing for illegal buys:

In giving probation with no jail time to a Milwaukee man charged with 55 counts of buying firearms with fake identification and dealing them without a license, a federal judge delivered a message:

“People kill people,” U.S. District Rudolph Randa said, echoing a common gun rights slogan. “Guns don’t kill people.”

Dontray Mills, 24, purchased a total of 27 firearms, mostly handguns, between December 2012 and April 2014 and pleaded guilty to one of the charges on April 22, 2014, after an ATF investigation. As a result of the conviction, Mills will never again be able to buy firearms legally.

On Wednesday, he was sentenced. As part of the plea bargain, prosecutors agreed with the one year of probation.

SnyderTalk Comment: We have a serious problem.  It begins with the man in the Oval Office, and the NRA is not part of it.

Walid Shoebat—Muslims Say They Will Make It Legal to Rape White Christian Women When They Take Over Europe:

According to an editorial comment in the German newspaper Westfalen-Blatt, police are refusing to go public about crimes involving refugees and migrants because they do not want to give legitimacy to critics of mass migration. As a result, one recent rape was hushed up by the police for nearly three months, leaving other potential victims ignorant of the danger.

  • A 13-year-old Muslim girl was raped by another asylum seeker at a refugee facility in Detmold, a city in west-central Germany. The girl and her mother reportedly fled their homeland to escape a culture of sexual violence.
  • Approximately 80% of the refugees/migrants at the shelter in Munich are male… the price for sex with female asylum seekers is ten euros. — Bavarian Broadcasting (Bayerischer Rundfunk).
  • Police in the Bavarian town of Mering, where a 16-year-old-girl was raped on September 11, have issued a warning to parents not to allow their children to go outside unaccompanied. In the Bavarian town of Pocking, administrators of the Wilhelm-Diess-Gymnasium have warned parents not to let their daughter’s wear revealing clothing in order to avoid “misunderstandings.”
  • “When Muslim teenage boys go to open air swimming pools, they are overwhelmed when they see girls in bikinis. These boys, who come from a culture where for women it is frowned upon to show naked skin, will follow girls and bother them without their realizing it. Naturally, this generates fear.” — Bavarian politician, quoted in Die Welt.
  • A police raid on the Munich refugee facility found that guards hired to provide security at the site were trafficking drugs and weapons and were turning a blind eye to the prostitution.
  • Meanwhile, the raping of German women by asylum seekers is becoming commonplace.

SnyderTalk Comment: This is not just a European problem.  We have it in the U.S., too, and it’s growing.

The day is coming when law-abiding gun owners may be the only thing standing between you and your family and real danger.

When seconds count, the police are only minutes away.  The people of Roseburg, Oregon know that all too well.

That’s not a criticism of police.  They can’t be everywhere at the same time.  That’s a fact.

Ingrid Carlqvist—Sweden: ‘No Apartments, No Jobs, No Shopping Without a Gun’:

The week after the double murder at IKEA in Västerås, where a man from Eritrea who had been denied asylum grabbed some knives and stabbed Carola and Emil Herlin to death, letters and emails poured into the offices of Swedish Prime Minister (PM) Stefan Löfven. Angry, despondent and desperate Swedes have pled with the Social Democratic PM to stop filling the country with criminal migrants from the Third World or, they write, there is a serious risk of hatred running rampant in Sweden. One woman suggested that because the Swedish media will not address these issues, Löfven should start reading foreign newspapers, and wake up to the fact that Sweden is sinking fast.

During the last few decades, Swedes have had to get used to the government (left and right wing parties alike) prioritizing refugees and migrants above native Swedes. The high tax level (the average worker pays 42% income tax) was been accepted in the past, because people knew that if they got sick, or when they retired or otherwise needed government aid, they would get it.

Now, Swedes see the welfare system failing them. More and more senior citizens fall into the “indigent” category; close to 800,000 of Sweden’s 2.1 million retirees, despite having worked their whole lives, are forced to live on between 4,500 and 5,500 kronor ($545 – $665) a month. Meanwhile, seniors who immigrate to Sweden receive the so-called “elderly support subsidy” — usually a higher amount — even though they have never paid any taxes in Sweden.

Worse, in 2013 the government decided that people staying in the country illegally have a right to virtually free health and dental care. So while the destitute Swedish senior citizen must choose between paying 100,000 kronor ($12,000) to get new teeth or living toothless, a person who does not even have the right to stay in Sweden can get his teeth fixed for 50 kronor ($6).

Uzay Bulut—Sexual Slavery: “Nothing to do with Islam”?:

  • “They are also taught that white non-Muslims are easy, cheap, dirty sluts and that it is their right [to take them]. … On top of this, teaching people to hate anyone who is not a Muslim — as is done in many mosques — will, of course, lead to a lot of people hating anyone who is not a Muslim. … The problem, however, is also due to police, judges, lawyers, and teachers, fearing the words ‘racist’ and ‘Islamophobe’ — and nothing is being done to stop that.” — Toni Bugle, women’s rights activist, founder of Mothers against Radical Islam and Sharia, and victim of child-rape.
  • “When girls are raped, they are referred to by the rapists as ‘white trash,’ ‘white whores’ and ‘white kuffir.’ It is said to the girls quite openly. And the girls tell the police. Yet the assaults are never recognized as ‘racially motivated. … “I am sick of being told that I matter less because, I was born white, or that someone else matters less because he was born a different color. Such terms are themselves racist. People now seem to be using the race card to behave in the most appalling manner.” — Toni Bugle.
  • Many British girls still stay silent. The perpetrators threaten and intimidate them: “This would be enough to silence most girls. In addition, the police ignore the pleas of these girls, so they do not trust the police. I do think the silence of the community means it acquiesces.”
  • In Islam, only non-Muslims may be taken as slaves — a rule that is unfortunately only further evidence of a supremacist doctrine within Islam: that Islam is superior to other religions, and its adherents therefore entitled to privileges not afforded to members of other religions.

Dr. Bryan Gabbard and Amb. Robert Joseph—The EMP Threat Is Real and Growing:

Ongoing crises make it difficult for policymakers to devote sufficient attention to electromagnetic threats, which are less prominent but potentially catastrophic. Events that reflect our growing vulnerability to these threats often slip quickly from the front page, as did the cyberattack against Sony Pictures. Others, such as solar storms across Alaska in March and the accidental power station explosion in April that left Washington, D.C. in the dark, go mostly unnoticed. And even events that dominate headlines, like the Iran nuclear agreement, don’t tell the whole story about electromagnetic threats. As a nuclear threshold state, Iran may quickly race to build a bomb that could be used to conduct a devastating electromagnetic attack against the United States.

Our nation is increasingly reliant on technology to manage and monitor the network of systems that deliver our basic goods and services, and our system for generating and distributing electricity is the core of this network. A failure here could cascade across other vital national infrastructures, severely disrupting everything we take for granted, from food and water to cell service and sewer systems. However, little has been done to take the necessary steps to protect our infrastructures, thus our vulnerability only continues to increase. As this dangerous condition grows, the devastation that would follow such an attack also multiplies, making electromagnetic attacks an increasingly attractive option to U.S. adversaries. This is compounded by the fact that nuclear proliferation has resulted in new capabilities for those who may be more inclined to exploit our vulnerabilities to electromagnetic attack, particularly rogue regimes like Iran and North Korea.

Of special concern are natural events and man-made electromagnetic threats that expose and exploit weaknesses based on the very strengths of our modern digital society. Solar geomagnetic storms create immediate and intense energy fields that may disrupt electrical and microelectronic systems, potentially on a continental scale. Cyberattacks, intentional electromagnetic interference weapons and high-altitude EMP attacks produced by the detonation of a nuclear device above the atmosphere could cripple our critical infrastructure and wreak havoc on the lives of millions of Americans.

Burak Bekdil—Turkish Press’s New Normal: “We Could Crush You Like a Fly”

Last year, after a pro-government columnist tweeted news about this author, referring to him as “A Disgrace to Humanity,” several others joined the lynching on social media. “A sperm of Israel,” someone wrote. Another said: “Enmity to Islam spills from his face.” Someone else wished that I would travel to Gaza so that “the al-Qassam [Brigade] could shoot him right in the middle of his forehead.” Another campaigner invited “this ignoble, inglorious Zionist leftover to leave for Israel.” Someone else wished, “May he and his family be bombed.” And yet another offered a DNA analysis from a photograph: “He must be either Armenian or Jewish.”

All that was the new normal in Turkey’s increasingly militant, pro-Islamist media. Things are getting worse.

On January 24, 1993, a bomb placed beneath his car killed Ugur Mumcu, one of Turkey’s most prominent columnists and investigative journalists, who wrote for the daily Cumhuriyet. Mumcu was a secular leftist who persistently wrote on Iranian and Sunni Islamists and their clandestine operations in the Middle East, particularly in Turkey. Although a handful of Turkish operatives were brought to court for the Mumcu murder, the open-secret Iranian plot behind the assassination remains a mystery even after 22 years.

Adam Taylor—The other time Moscow went to fight for an embattled Arab leader:

Russia’s involvement in the Syrian conflict is more unusual than you may think. Moscow has not gotten involved in a war this far outside of its regional sphere of influence since way back in the Soviet era. Even back then, Soviet forces rarely acknowledged their role in conflicts in the Middle East – Soviet fighters were made to don Egyptian uniforms when they briefly battled Israeli forces in 1970, for example.

There is another little-known instance of Moscow sending Russians to fight in the region, however. And it’s one that could bear lessons for today.

In the 1960s, what was then North Yemen was stuck in a lengthy civil war which pitted military leaders who had staged a republican coup in 1962 against the royalist forces who wanted the country’s Imam to return to the throne. These days, the conflict is mostly remembered as a quagmire that sucked in a number of powers, including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Britain – it’s been dubbed “Egypt’s Vietnam” by some, due to the vast number of Egyptian soldiers who died to help Yemen remain a republic.

Michael Curtis—No Room for Indifference on anti-Semitism

Actions speak louder than words, but nevertheless it is a welcome sign of change that the European Commission is holding its first annual Fundamental Rights Colloquium on October 1-2, 2015 in Brussels. Its theme is tolerance and respect, preventing and combating anti-Semitic and anti-Muslim hatred in Europe.

The Colloquium is not simply an opportunity for a widespread discussion of issues. Participants, governments, political, civil, religious, and academic leaders, are expected to explore concrete ways to combat anti-Semitism and anti-Muslim hatred. However, it should be said at the outset that while anti-Arab and anti-black attitudes are contemptible and should be opposed, they do not have the same resonance as anti-Semitism.

The need is urgent. A 2013 EU Fundamental Rights Agency survey on discrimination and hate crime against Jews found that more than three quarters of those surveyed felt that anti-Semitism, including anti-Semitism on line, has got worse in the countries in which they lived. It is surprising that about three-quarters of Jewish people do not report anti-Semitic harassment to the police. More correct and accurate data on the perceptions and experiences of Jews is essential if corrective action is to be taken. A related problem is that the number of officially recorded incidents is so low that it is difficult to measure a long-term trend.

SnyderTalk Comment: Where’s Obama?  He’s leading from behind, of course.  Heavy lifting isn’t his strong suit.

We elected Obama president two times.  Once was more than enough for us to know about him, but we elected him again anyway.  That tells me a lot about typical American voters.

See “Obama warns Russia’s Putin of ‘quagmire’ in Syria”.

It’s hard to believe that Obama feels as though he has anything relevant to offer Putin.

How has that leading from behind thing worked out for Obama?  Not so good.

I’m concerned that Russia and Iran are going to be well-positioned on Israel’s northeast border when this thing is over.  That’s just one of the many negative ramifications of electing Obama.

Below is a list of points from Netanyahu’s UN speech last week.  It was prepared by The Jerusalem Connection:

  • Just look at what Iran has done in the last six months alone, since the framework agreement was announced in Lausanne.
  • Iran boosted its supply of devastating weapons to Syria.
  • Iran sent more soldiers of its Revolutionary Guard into Syria. Iran sent thousands of Afghani and Pakistani Shi’ite fighters to Syria.
  • Iran did all this to prop up Assad’s brutal regime.
  • Iran also shipped tons of weapons and ammunitions to the Houthi rebels in Yemen, including another shipment just two days ago.
  • Iran threatened to topple Jordan.
  • Iran’s proxy Hezbollah smuggled into Lebanon SA-22 missiles to down our planes, and Yakhont cruise missiles to sink our ships.
  • Iran supplied Hezbollah with precision-guided surface-to-surface missiles and attack drones so it can accurately hit any target in Israel.
  • Iran aided Hamas and Islamic Jihad in building armed drones in Gaza.
  • Iran also made clear its plans to open two new terror fronts against Israel, promising to arm Palestinians in the West Bank and sending its Revolutionary Guard generals to the Golan Heights, from which its operatives recently fired rockets on northern Israel.

Things aren’t getting better.  They are getting worse, much worse.

4--Scripture of the Day Yahweh

Exodus 25

17 “You shall make a mercy seat of pure gold, two and a half cubits long and one and a half cubits wide. 18 You shall make two cherubim of gold, make them of hammered work at the two ends of the mercy seat. 19 Make one cherub at one end and one cherub at the other end; you shall make the cherubim of one piece with the mercy seat at its two ends. 20 The cherubim shall have their wings spread upward, covering the mercy seat with their wings and facing one another; the faces of the cherubim are to be turned toward the mercy seat. 21 You shall put the mercy seat on top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the testimony which I will give to you. 22 There I will meet with you; and from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are upon the ark of the testimony, I will speak to you about all that I will give you in commandment for the sons of Israel.”

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
