Israel Must Trust Yahweh
Journalists and politicians have a hard time understanding why Prime Minister Netanyahu would stand firm against the President of the United States. From their perspective, he is supposed to jump when told and ask how high on the way up.
After all, the U.S. is a global superpower and Israel is just a tiny Jewish state.
Netanyahu doesn’t have the luxury of being able to just talk. His actions and inaction have consequences. He must think about at least two things that most journalists and politicians barely consider: Israel’s survival and Yahweh.
I know that Israel’s survival is high on Netanyahu’s list of priorities, but I hope Yahweh is Number 1 on that list. If He isn’t, He should be.
The day is rapidly approaching when Israel will have no friends left in the world among elite politicians including the President of the United States. It’s time for Netanyahu and the Israeli people to shift their emphasis to the only One who can and will protect them.
Yahweh is Israel’s hope and her future.
Obama says that he’s committed to Israel’s security. That’s just talk, and talk is cheap.
Obama is looking out for number one. In his world, he’s number one—two, three, and four for that matter.
Trusting Obama is a sucker’s bet.
True believers will stand with Israel when the chips are down because that’s what Yahweh expects and requires, and they know it. Others are fair-weather friends. They will abandon Israel when supporting the Jewish state costs them something.
Obama pretends to support Israel because he has to. It’s a political necessity. He would abandon Israel in a heartbeat if he could get away with it politically.
Believers know where we are heading, and it’s not peace Obama style.
We already know what Obama’s version of peace looks like. We see it daily throughout the Middle East and North Africa.
Obama’s version of peace is a nightmare for Israel. The Iran deal will make things worse, much worse.
How can Israel have confidence in an Iran deal when Iranian leaders publicly declare that their plan to annihilate Israel is “nonnegotiable”?
They can’t. Only an idiot would buy that deal or try to sell it.
True and lasting peace won’t be achieved until Yahweh returns. In the meantime, Israel needs to learn to lean on Him.

Shimon Shiffer: Israel’s lessons from Lausanne—At this point, Israel has two choices: Keep fighting the Obama administration or repair the damage and try to make the most of the punitive clauses in Iran deal. There is one worrying question that remains unanswered from the Israeli response to the agreement reached in Lausanne last weekend. What is Benjamin Netanyahu really trying to achieve? Israel now has essentially two options left: To keep up the conflict with the Obama administration in an effort to recruit Congress to scupper the agreement, or start a new dialogue with the White House to make the most of the work by international inspectors and heighten the possibility of punishment should Iran go back on its obligations. In the meantime, we have heard a lot of talk in Jerusalem, but no action. A series of tough statements from Netanyahu in recent days opposing the Lausanne agreement have now been joined by a new demand for Iranian recognition of Israel. The more new details are revealed about the negotiations between Iran and the world powers, the more we can point to some basic assumptions that in Israel will only add to the existing doubts about the agreement.
Fox News: Obama, Congress on collision course over Iran nuke deal— President Obama appealed to lawmakers to reconsider contentious legislation giving Congress a say on an Iran nuclear deal, as the co-author of the bill vowed to hold a key vote next week. In an interview published Sunday, Obama said the newly agreed framework of a nuclear deal with Iran represented a “once in a lifetime opportunity” to prevent Tehran from acquiring a nuclear weapon and move toward stabilizing the Middle East. “I’ve been very clear that Iran will not get a nuclear weapon on my watch, and I think they should understand that we mean it,” Obama told New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman. “But I say that hoping that we can conclude this diplomatic arrangement — and that it ushers a new era in U.S.-Iranian relations – and, just as importantly, over time, a new era in Iranian relations with its neighbors.”

In Western Europe, this time of year is increasingly secularised, but in large parts of the rest of the world, people are being massacred relentlessly because of a faith on which much of the developed world was founded but now ignores. A single day this week epitomises the trend. On Maundy Thursday last week, radio adverts in Britain advertised the Easter retail sales. One advert said that after “Good Friday,” shoppers could be sure of a “Great Saturday.” Elsewhere, as in Kenya, Maundy Thursday will hereafter have a very different tone.

The deal means that the international community has accepted Iran as a nuclear power.” — Hani ala-Jamal, al-Wafd. Many Arabs have expressed deep concern over the nuclear deal that was reached last week between Iran and the world powers, including the US. Arab leaders and heads of state were polite enough not to voice public criticism of the agreement when President Barack Obama phoned them to inform them about it. But this has not stopped Arab politicians, political analysts and columnists reflecting government thinking in the Arab world from lashing out at what they describe as “Obama’s bad and dangerous deal with Iran.” The Arabs, especially those living in the Gulf, see the framework agreement as a sign of US “weakness” and a green light to Iran for Iran to pursue its “expansionist” scheme in the Arab world.
Taylor Luck: Iran nuclear deal: Saudi Arabia fears rival’s regional footprint— Riyadh worries that lifting sanctions on Iran means greater firepower for its proxy forces, including in Yemen where a Saudi-led bombing campaign continues. Saudi Arabia also wants its own nuclear program, for what is says are peaceful purposes. In public, Saudi Arabia has offered cautious praise for last week’s international nuclear agreement with Iran, its regional rival. King Salman told US President Barack Obama last Thursday that he hoped that a final deal “would aid in developing regional and international security,” the state-run Saudi Press Agency reported. But even if the framework deal prevents Iran for now from building a nuclear bomb, Saudi Arabia, a Sunni-majority state, frets that it won’t stop Iran’s support for Shiite militant groups across the Middle East. And that regional threat, in turn, may nudge Riyadh towards reviving its mothballed nuclear program in order to counter Iran’s, according to Saudi officials and analysts.
Dr. Haim Shine: The Iranian trap— U.S. President Barack Obama called Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday to update him on the principles of the framework agreement reached in Switzerland between six world powers and Iran. The call was made from Air Force One — a metaphorical expression for an American administration that hovers between earth and sky, detached from the dangerous reality in the Middle East. The writing on the wall is clear, but U.S. policy makers refuse to read it — a refusal that is the result of ongoing fatigue and a lack of will to continue raising the torch of liberty for the sake of all mankind. When Obama was elected president, American commentators said that the U.S. had woken up to a new reality. Now we know what this new reality means.
Yoni Hersch and Israel Hayom Staff: ‘Chamberlain got a better deal from Hitler’—With the Iran nuclear framework deal agreed upon on Thursday, U.S. President Barack Obama’s administration now has the difficult task of convincing a recalcitrant Congress not to vote down or undermine the deal. The agreement was met with scathing criticism from some U.S. lawmakers, with one legislator saying the deal was worse than what Neville Chamberlain signed with Adolf Hitler before World War II. Politico reported over the weekend that Senate Republicans believe they are approaching the required number of Democrat votes to pass a law which would require a “final word” from Congress with regards to any deal that is signed with Iran. Republicans are seeking a 67-vote majority to prevent Obama from exercising his veto power.
Dan Lavie and News Agencies: France slams Kerry over lowered demands on Iran for deal—Many of the Western powers involved in the Iranian nuclear talks failed to express satisfaction with the understandings reached with Iran and the West, led by the U.S. Officials in France said that even though the U.S. negotiating team headed by Secretary of State John Kerry had lowered its demands on Iran, Iranian government representatives had threatened to leave the table. French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius on Friday expressed displeasure with the framework reached in Lausanne. In an interview to Radio Europa 1, Fabius said that France had rejected the initial understandings as “not solid enough.” He stressed that France wanted a solid deal to prevent other Gulf states, such as Saudi Arabia, “from embarking on nuclear proliferation.”
Michael Curtis: The White House Loses Face— The Obama administration has shown a lack of historic understanding concerning its policy towards China’s proposal to establish the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). The White House must understand that its policy lacks judgment when former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, in unladylike language, refers to it as “we screwed it up.” The kindest remark she might have made is that the White House misread the situation. The president now faces a self-inflicted predicament of possible strained relations with an increasing number of major countries, allies that have defied American pressure and decided to join the AIIB.

SnyderTalk Comment: Read His Name is Yahweh. This is an interesting account. Genesis 17: 9-14 explains that Yahweh gave Abraham circumcision as a sign of the Covenant, and Moses had not obeyed. It’s clear that Yahweh intended to kill Moses and that Zipporah saved his life. One day, I will enjoy hearing what Yahweh had in mind with this encounter. To me, it is one of the many interesting mysteries in the Bible.
