Robert Spencer— Woman proclaiming Christ ejected from Muslim prayers at National Cathedral:

It all sounds so high-minded: the Rev. Canon Gina Campbell says: “This needs to be a world in which all are free to believe and practice and in which we avoid bigotry, Islamaphobia, racism, anti-Semitism, and anti-Christianity and to embrace our humanity and to embrace faith.”

But someone threw a rotting cabbage on their lovely sofa, as DCist laments: “And because love, respect and understanding is too much of a concept for some people to understand, a person interrupted the service. Of course.” Still, the spectacle of a woman being forcibly ejected from what is ostensibly a Christian cathedral for proclaiming that Jesus Christ is Lord just before Muslim prayers are about to begin is at very least evidence that we live in strange times.

I noted here the Hamas and Muslim Brotherhood links of the sponsoring groups. Besides that, there is the fact that there is an enduring obstacle to achieving a world in which we are all free to believe and practice and embrace our humanity and faith: Muslims who take to heart and act upon Qur’an verses like these:

Christians have forgotten part of the divine revelations they received: “From those, too, who call themselves Christians, We did take a covenant, but they forgot a good part of the message that was sent them: so we estranged them, with enmity and hatred between the one and the other, to the day of judgment. And soon will Allah show them what it is they have done.” — Qur’an 5:14

Jesus is not the Son of God: “O People of the Scripture! Do not exaggerate in your religion nor utter aught concerning Allah save the truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah, and His word which He conveyed unto Mary, and a spirit from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers, and say not “Three” – Cease! (it is) better for you! – Allah is only One Allah. Far is it removed from His Transcendent Majesty that He should have a son. His is all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allah is sufficient as Defender.” — Qur’an 4:171

“It is not befitting to (the majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! when He determines a matter, He only says to it, ‘Be,’ and it is.” — Qur’an 19:35

Those who believe that Jesus is God’s Son are accursed: “The Jews call ‘Uzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah’s curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth! ” — Qur’an 9:30

Jesus was not crucified: “And because of their saying: We slew the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, Allah’s messenger – they slew him not nor crucified him, but it appeared so unto them; and lo! those who disagree concerning it are in doubt thereof; they have no knowledge thereof save pursuit of a conjecture; they slew him not for certain.” — Qur’an 4:157

Christians, as People of the Book, must be warred against and subjugated: “Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.” — Qur’an 9:29

SnyderTalk Comment: There is no doubt about where Christians and Jews stand in the Muslim world today.  Peace-loving people of any religion, Islam included, can’t co-exist with authentic Muslims.

Today, we call them Islamists.  Other Muslim voices are insignificant next to theirs.  Islamists are not just the face of Islam.  They are its heart and soul.

Most people who call themselves “Muslims” today are Muslim in name only.  The same is true for most people who call themselves “Christians”.  They associate with their “faith” because it’s part of their culture.  That’s it in a nutshell.  It’s not personal.  They don’t have a clue what being a believer really means, and “saving faith” is just an expression they know.

We are approaching the time when Yahweh is going to separate the wheat from the chaff.  What Yahweh has in store for people that He considers to be chaff defies description.  It’s time to get serious.

“To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: The Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God, says this: ‘I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth.’” Revelation 3: 14-16

Elder of Ziyon: Why Jerusalem Really Matters to the Palestinians— Rami G. Khouri is about as moderate a Palestinian commentator as you can find. He is Christian, recognizes that the Temple Mount is holy to Jews, and is willing to blame Arabs for their mistakes. Even so, he justifies the recent spike in Arab terror: “The absence of PA forces under the control of President Mahmoud Abbas also means that those forces cannot quell Palestinian demonstrations against Israel, as happens in all other parts of the West Bank, where PA forces more often than not act to defend Israel as much as to keep peace among Palestinians, unfortunately. Arab Jerusalemites are essentially ungoverned and unrepresented politically, because they do not fall under Palestinian authority and they are underserved by an Israeli state that also keeps building new settlements on lands surrounding the holy city. Because of this condition of living in a political vacuum, Palestinians in Jerusalem have only themselves to rely on to defend their lands and rights, and in cases of extreme threats and violence used against them, they resort to violence such as we are witnessing these days.”

Teresa Welsh: Israel Ramps Up Punitive Demolition of Palestinian Homes—Israel is increasing the intensity with which it is demolishing homes of Palestinians connected to attacks on Israelis, the country said Monday. The announcement comes days after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with Secretary of State John Kerry and promised to take steps to ease growing violence across the country. The Israeli military did not specify how many homes were to be destroyed as punishment for families of those implicated in incidents that resulted in the death of Israeli citizens. The punitive destruction hasn’t been widely used since 2005, but remains domestically popular. Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat supports the policy, saying “there is no other way, unfortunately,” to deter other potential attackers.

Isi Leibler: Obama Desperate for a Deal With Iran— Despite statements to the contrary, the Obama administration appears determined to achieve an “agreement” with Iran and seems willing to breach its repeated undertakings that it would never countenance Iran becoming a nuclear power. With the mullahs’ increased intransigence as they sense the desperation of the Americans to avoid a confrontation, the Nov. 24 deadline will probably be extended, enabling the centrifuges to continue spinning while the P5+1 countries engage in fruitless negotiations with the duplicitous Iranians. The Iranians have mocked Secretary of State John Kerry’s overtures, including his secret appeals to them to coordinate with the U.S. in opposing the Islamic State group. Speaking from a podium bedecked with banners blazing “America cannot do a damn thing,” Ayatollah Ali Khamenei boasted that the “Great Satan’s” efforts to bring Iran to its knees had failed, and that U.S. President Barack Obama lacked the courage for a military confrontation. Ali Younesi, senior adviser to “moderate” President Hassan Rouhani, referred to Obama as “the weakest of U.S. presidents,” whose six years in office were “humiliating.”

Bob Schieffer: Netanyahu to U.S.: Iran Is Not Your Friend— A transcript from the November 16, 2014 edition of Face the Nation. Guests included Benjamin Netanyahu, Mitt Romney, Charlie D’Agata, Claire McCaskill, Mike Lee, James Clapper, Ruth Marcus, Dana Milbank, Gerald Seib and Jeffrey Goldberg. BOB SCHIEFFER: Today on Face the Nation, breaking news overnight, it appears ISIS has executed another American hostage. A new video has surfaced indicating that American aid worker Peter Kassig has been beheaded, the latest on that. And we’ll talk to former Republican presidential nominee, Mitt Romney; Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, two key Senate Armed Services Committee members, Missouri Democrat Claire McCaskill and Utah Tea Party Republican Mike Lee. Plus, America’s top spy, National Intelligence Director James Clapper and a panel of analysts. Sixty years of news because this is Face the Nation. Good morning, again. We are going first to London and CBS News veteran Iraq correspondent Charlie D’Agata for more on this atrocity. Charlie.

William Booth and Ruth Eglash: Jerusalem Unrest Propelled by Palestinian Teens—The 2014 Palestinian uprising in Jerusalem involves mostly teenagers. Israeli police and military intelligence officers say the Jerusalem violence involves not tens of thousands of teens, but hundreds, here and there, in five or six Palestinian neighborhoods around the city. Israel’s police commissioner, Inspector General Yohanan Danino, said: “We are starting to use intelligence information to get to those who are disturbing the peace, but really, in the end, they are sending small children – 12, 13 years old…and with children we can’t really do anything to them.” Israel Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said, “We are trying to tell their parents, ‘Please, don’t let your son get a criminal record.'” Asked why they are clashing with Israelis, the teens shout that they are defending al-Aqsa mosque.

SnyderTalk Comment: They don’t call it “The Children’s Intifada” for no reason.  Their goals are 1) to kill Jews, 2) to force Israeli security to kill the child perpetrators, and 3) to tell the world that the Israelis kill children.  It’s a lesson that Fatah learned from Hamas during Operation Protective Edge.

Right now, Israel haters and other anti-Semites all over the world are going berserk because the IDF killed children who were used as human shields around Hamas fighters and ammunition and weapons storage facilities.  Hamas even bragged about their use of human shields, but the world ignored everything except the children who were placed in harm’s way so that some of them would be killed.

The UN is about to investigate Operation Protective Edge and issue another report.  It’s euphemistically referred to as “Goldstone 2” because of “Goldstone 1” that was prepared after the last Gaza operation.  It was so one-sided that it was laughable, but the world bought it.

It’s time to choose sides.  I’m going with Yahweh.

Timon Dias: Dutch Officials Demonize Israelis— An increasingly popular argument, when certain Dutch officials and Muslim commentators discuss Islamic State [IS] jihadists from Europe, is that these jihadists are really no different from European Jews who choose to serve in the Israel Defense Forces [IDF]. In The Netherlands this trend seems to have started when an op-ed, entitled, “Jihad for Israel,” written for Al-Jazeera by Columbia University PhD. candidate Hanine Hassan, was translated into Dutch for the website “Wij Blijven Hier,” which means “We Are Here To Stay.” The website is hugely popular among Dutch youths from a Muslim background. The main thesis of the op-ed was that serving in the IDF should be as punishable as joining IS, as the IDF, too, is a genocidal regime, just like IS.

Maxim Biller: A German-Jewish Zionist Explains Why Anti-Semitism Is All the Same— Nothing is as boring as anti-Semitism, at least for Jews. You rule the world, they have heard non-Jews telling them for the last 2,000 years, even if none of you has yet made it to the status of a Roman emperor or a U.S. president. Your religion gets on our nerves, they are told, because you won’t share it with anyone. Although most of you are not observant, you are aware of your Jewish identity all the same, and what the hell does that mean? You’re better than us in bed, and you steal our women. You manage money as well as we wish we could manage it ourselves. You’re so damn clever because you have none of you been illiterate for a hundred generations, which gives you such a head-start on us in life that we can never catch up. And you never get drunk—can that be why you always have everything under control? And can it be, think the Jews, that you non-Jews might finally begin to sing another song, after making your way with trepidation through the dark forest of the Middle Ages, the early modern period, and the Enlightenment, of European world domination and its downfall, thus trying to dispel your fear of all technical, moral, and political change? No, they can’t do it.

Aaron Y. Zelin: Islamic State Announces New Caliphate Provinces—Last week, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of the Islamic State, declared the creation of several new “provinces” in various Arab countries. He recognized the annexation of jihadist elements in Saudi Arabia and Yemen, along with groups in Algeria (Jund al-Khilafah), Libya (Majlis Shura Shabab al-Islam), and Sinai (Ansar Beit al-Maqdis). He ignored non-Arab factions based in Pakistan, Indonesia, the Philippines, and elsewhere that made similar pledges to him. Baghdadi made clear that it is time to start an overt military campaign against Shiites. He also emphasized the order of priority, stating that jihadists in Saudi Arabia and Yemen should first target Shiites (including the Houthis), then the Saudi dynasty, and then finally the “Crusaders.” In doing so, the Islamic State illustrated its differences from al-Qaeda, which has historically given precedent to fighting the “Crusaders” first.

Paul Berman: The Good Left, the Seedy Left, and the Kurds—The cause of the Kurds is the cause of the left. At least, it used to be, in the dimly remembered past when the left was recognizably still the left. An example: a collective letter to The New York Review of Books, May 29, 1975, under the title, “Plight of the Kurds.” The contention: “The situation in Kurdistan has taken a tragic turn.” The conclusion: “The signers of this appeal affirm the right to self-determination of the Kurdish people: they deplore the Iraqi military offensive which has as its aim the liquidation of the Kurdish national movement, and they call upon international organizations and the forces of democracy to intervene in order to prevent a massacre.” The signatories, among others: Stanley Hoffmann, Howard Zinn, Noam Chomsky, Simone de Beauvoir, Jean-Paul Sartre, Pierre Vidal-Naquet. And even today the cause of the Kurds is the cause of the left. Not the left as a whole, but a definite stream within it. Evidence from the present: a collective letter to the French newspaper Le Monde, Sept. 16, 2014, under the title, “Let Us Help Kurdistan Protect Yezidis and Christians, Our Values Depend on It.”

Simon Shuster: Putin’s Loss of German Trust Seals the West’s Isolation of Russia—Vladimir Putin has long had a soft spot for Germany. As an officer of the KGB in the late 1980s, he was stationed in the East German city of Dresden, where he developed a love of the language and, according to his memoirs, for the enormous steins of pilsner he drank at a beer hall in the town of Radeberg with friends. As President, Putin’s foreign and economic policies have always looked to Germany as a pivotal ally, a vital partner in trade and a sympathetic ear for Russian interests. He seemed to feel that no matter what political headwinds came his way, the German sense of pragmatism would prevail in keeping Berlin on his side. That illusion has just been shattered.

SnyderTalk Comment: “The violence was met with celebration from Palestinians, as revelers in the Gazan city of Rafah handed out candy and brandished axes and posters of the suspects in praise of the deadly attack, according to the Jerusalem Post. Hamas-affiliated social media also circulated violent and anti-Semitic cartoons hailing the killings.”

These are the people with whom European and U.S. leaders demand that Israel make “peace”.  That’s lunacy.

You can’t make peace with people whose sole purpose for living is to kill Jews and destroy Israel.  As Solomon said, “There is a time for peace and a time for war.”

The time for war is rapidly approaching.

4--Scripture of the Day Yahweh

Genesis 38: 1-5

And it came about at that time, that Judah departed from his brothers and visited a certain Adullamite, whose name was Hirah. Judah saw there a daughter of a certain Canaanite whose name was Shua; and he took her and went in to her. So she conceived and bore a son and he named him Er. Then she conceived again and bore a son and named him Onan. She bore still another son and named him Shelah; and it was at Chezib that she bore him.

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
