Is President Obama a liar or is he just stupid?

On Wednesday night, President Obama had the opportunity to convince the American people that he is up to the task of leading, but he fell flat on his face at the beginning of his speech.  The first substantive thing that he said missed the mark completely and revealed how utterly clueless he is:

Now let’s make two things clear: ISIL is not Islamic. No religion condones the killing of innocents, and the vast majority of ISIL’s victims have been Muslim. And ISIL is certainly not a state. It was formerly al-Qaida’s affiliate in Iraq and has taken advantage of sectarian strife and Syria’s civil war to gain territory on both sides of the Iraq-Syrian border. It is recognized by no government nor by the people it subjugates. ISIL is a terrorist organization, pure and simple. And it has no vision other than the slaughter of all who stand in its way.

In a region that has known so much bloodshed, these terrorists are unique in their brutality. They execute captured prisoners. They kill children. They enslave, rape and force women into marriage. They threatened a religious minority with genocide. And in acts of barbarism, they took the lives of two American journalists — Jim Foley and Steven Sotloff.

The American people need to understand what is really happening.  Their lives may depend on it.  This is the truth that Obama should have told us about:

  • “ISIL is not Islamic”—false. ISIL is Islamic through-and-through.
  • “No religion condones the killing of innocents”—false. Islam does.  It also condones beastiality among other things.
  • “The vast majority of ISIL’s victims have been Muslim”—true. I fear for Muslims around the world who reject fanatical Islamist doctrine, because they will be targeted first in every region of the world where Islamists take control.  For example, consider Afghanistan under Taliban rule.  That’s what Islamist rule looks like.
  • “ISIL is certainly not a state”—true, but it will be one day soon if something isn’t done to stop them. Hamas and Fatah are ISIS lookalikes, and the president is doing his utmost to create a state for them.  What do you think will happen if the country Palestine actually comes into existence?  I’ll give you a hint: the people of Gaza were given the opportunity to elect their leaders.  Who did they elect?    What is Hamas?  An Islamist terrorist organization.  Enough said.
  • “[ISIS] was formerly al-Qaida’s affiliate in Iraq and has taken advantage of sectarian strife and Syria’s civil war to gain territory on both sides of the Iraq-Syrian border”—true. ISIS is simply following Yasser Arafat’s strategy for destroying Israel.  Arafat said, “Since we cannot defeat Israel in war we do this in stages.  We take any and every territory that we can of Palestine, and establish sovereignty there, and we use it as a springboard to take more.  When the time comes, we can get the Arab nations to join us for the final blow against Israel.”  Arafat also said, “Peace for us means the destruction of Israel.  We are preparing for an all-out war, a war which will last for generations.  Since January 1965, when Fatah was born, we have become the most dangerous enemy that Israel has….We shall not rest until the day when we return to our home, and until we destroy Israel.”  The difference between ISIS and the PLO, Fatah, Hamas, and the PA is that ISIS is targeting the entire world—not just Israel.  ISIS is following Arafat’s strategy to the letter.
  • “[ISIS] is recognized by no government nor by the people it subjugates”—true. Problem is that an ISIS lookalike will be recognized by the world if President Obama has his way.  What do you think the “Palestinian” government will become if there is ever a “Palestinian” state?
  • “ISIL is a terrorist organization, pure and simple”—false. ISIL is an Islamist terrorist organization.  That is not a minor point.  In fact, it’s the main point, and Obama doesn’t get it or won’t accept it.  Whatever the case may be, his lack of understanding is dangerous.  It threatens all of our lives.
  • “[ISIS] has no vision other than the slaughter of all who stand in its way”—false. ISIS’ vision is to take control of the world and to subjugate people everywhere under their version of Islamic law.  Slaughter is simply a tool used by ISIS to accomplish its objective.
  • “These [ISIS] terrorists are unique in their brutality”—false. What about Afghanistan under the Taliban?  What about Gaza under Hamas rule?  It’s the nature of the beast.
  • “They [ISIS] execute captured prisoners”—true, but they don’t stop there. They condone summary execution for anything that they think is forbidden by Islam—things like dancing and singing.
  • “They [ISIS] kill children”—true. They will kill anybody for anything that they don’t like.  Race, gender, and age are irrelevant to them.
  • “They [ISIS] threatened a religious minority with genocide”—true but far from complete. They threaten any group with genocide if they don’t submit and comply with their version of Islamic doctrine.
  • “They [ISIS] enslave, rape and force women into marriage”—true, but again, it doesn’t go far enough. Their brutality knows no bounds.  They treat anyone who doesn’t submit and comply the same way.  They even rape men.  As I indicated, they are gender neutral.
  • “In acts of barbarism, they [ISIS] took the lives of two American journalists – Jim Foley and Steven Sotloff”—true, and it saddens me to know that it took those two innocent lives to get the American people to demand action by their president. Untold thousands of innocent people died at the hands of ISIS murderers before Foley and Sotloff were beheaded, but the president acted as though nothing had happened.

As I said, ISIS (or IS or ISIL) is Islamic to the core.  Its members are doing exactly what the Quran says they should be doing.  They aren’t using Islam as a prop like so many others do.  They are practicing their faith.  Their faith is the problem.  That’s the unadulterated truth.

Is President Obama a liar or is he just stupid?  I don’t know for sure, but I do know this: he misled the American people when he was given the opportunity to tell us who our enemy really is.  That’s dangerous.  It reminds me of the story that he told about an obscure filmmaker being responsible for the Benghazi massacre.

You need to watch the video below.  Brother Rachid knows the truth and he’s not afraid to tell it.

SnyderTalk Comment: Brother Rachid knows the truth and is willing to speak it, but President Obama doesn’t have the capacity to call our enemy by its name.

It’s not Obama’s job to tell our enemies who they are.  They have told us in no uncertain terms who they are and what they plan to do.  They have proven that they mean business.

You can’t defeat an enemy if you refuse to accept the truth and speak it openly.  Half-measures won’t work.  ISIS is just one of many Islamist groups.  Like Hydra, if you cut off one head, another one will take its place.

Brother Rachid is right: you have to attack this problem at the root.  What is the root of the problem?

The president’s speech outlining his strategy to defeat ISIS should have been a shining moment, but instead it reinforced my deep-seated fear that our nation under Obama’s leadership is in terrible trouble.

His friends in Hollywood may not get it, but the rest of the country is beginning to wake up.  I pray that it’s not too late.

Washington Post Editorial: The U.S. Is Right to Set Out to Destroy the Islamic State— PRESIDENT OBAMA and top aides are now employing the “D” word — “destroy” — to describe U.S. objectives regarding the fanatical Middle Eastern force known as the Islamic State. Already, the group has seized far more of Iraq and Syria than is compatible with the safety and human rights of the people living there, and its sights are set on further destabilization in Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Kurdistan, as well as terror attacks in Europe and, if it’s capable of them, the United States. The two Americans butchered by the Islamic State will not be the last if the group’s leaders have their way. This murderous terrorist army, whose scarily effective global recruitment matches its global ambitions, can be neither contained nor “managed,” as the president implied in some of his more hesitant previous comments.

Steve Apfel: How the world flips when Jews go to war— Now may be a fit moment to ponder over Israel at war. Another battle is done, the rockets and guns are fallen silent, anxieties and passions have calmed, incendiary mobs have quitted Europe’s capitals, the world is taking a breather. So what happened when Israel went to war against Arabs for the umpteenth time?  It obsessed the world to the point of mania. That much is obvious, looking back at Gaza War 3, alternatively known as ‘Operation Protective Edge.’ The world flipped. Consider the media, how it rushed every able body and its equipment to the battle. Some 700 journalists from 42 countries arrived, according to the Government Press Office in Israel. They joined another 750 journalists already in the country before hostilities broke out. Take a war toll of some 2,000 dead and that’s close to a one-to-one ratio: one journalist for every death. Surely no conflict in modern times has been covered so massively.

Ken Dilanian: U.S. Fears Islamic State Attack on Jordan—The CIA has approached Robert Richer, former chief of the agency’s Near East division, who has close ties to Jordan’s King Abdullah II, about setting up a special task force to help Jordan deal with the threat from the Islamic State. Jordan is among the countries directly threatened by the Islamic State’s recent surge, White House counterterrorism adviser Lisa Monaco said last week. The U.S. is providing Jordan about a $1 billion this year in economic and military aid, a sum that does not include classified intelligence funding through the CIA.

Abha Shankar: Colorado Teen Sought Military Training Before Trying to Join ISIS— A Colorado teen pleaded guilty Wednesday to conspiring to provide material support to the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq (ISIS), also known as the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL). The conspiracy started earlier this year when 19-year-old Shannon Conley of Arvada, Col. met an ISIS member on the Internet, who identified himself as Yousr Mouelhi. In their communications, Conley and Mouelhi “shared their view of Islam as requiring participation in violent jihad,” the plea agreement said. The two later decided to get engaged and worked with other unnamed co-conspirators to arrange for Conley to travel to Syria to be with Mouelhi. According to the plea agreement, Conley was fully aware that ISIS was a designated terrorist organization. She joined the U.S. Army Explorers (USAE) to learn military tactics and firearms use in hopes of fighting for ISIS forces in the future. FBI agents met with Conley several times to persuade her to not travel overseas to wage violent jihad, but she would not give up her jihadi ambitions. In March, Mouelhi and other conspirators helped Conley buy an airline ticket to travel to Turkey. She was arrestedApril 8 at Denver International Airport while trying to board her flight.

Yoel Guzansky: On the Road to Mecca? The Islamic State Threat to the Gulf— Despite the great interest in the threat posed by the Islamic State organization to the West, perhaps the greatest threat is to Iraq’s neighbors, among them, Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states. The Saudi royal family seeks to accelerate the establishment of an international coalition capable of contending effectively with the threat that Islamic State now poses to it and to its allies Kuwait and Jordan, which to a great extent serve as a strategic buffer between Saudi Arabia and Iraq. • Islamic State’s road to Mecca is primarily ideological, and is a struggle for the fundamental beliefs of Sunni Islam. Yet while Islamic State has created rifts in the royal Sunni camp (due to Qatar’s support of Islamic extremists), it may also create mutual interests between external rival elements. From the Saudis’ perspective, the threat is serious, and in this context, the possibility of ad hoc cooperation with Iran, their primary regional rival, cannot be ruled out.

Stephanie Butnick: Former AP Bureau Chief Responds to Article About Israel Coverage— Two weeks ago Matti Friedman published an article in Tablet explaining how—and why—international media gets Israel so wrong. Friedman, a former Associated Press reporter in Israel, argued that both the number of reporters assigned to cover Israel as well as the volume of stories published about the country are disproportionate, creating the notion that Israel is “the most important story on earth, or very close.” He also argued that newsroom biases craft a specific framing of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, with divergences from that narrative discouraged. “Many of the people deciding what you will read and see from here view their role not as explanatory but as political,” he wrote. “Coverage is a weapon to be placed at the disposal of the side they like.” The article sparked a great deal of conversation—there have been 987 comments posted to it, and it’s been shared on Facebook more than 75,000 times. One response came from Steven Gutkin, the AP’s bureau chief in Israel from 2004 to 2010, who hired Friedman in 2006.Gutkin, now based in India, took issue with Friedman’s claim that the bureau, under his leadership, stifled stories or angles that didn’t fit within an established narrative.

Caroline Glick: President Sisi’s Gift—  Something extraordinary happened. On August 31, PLO chief and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas told an audience of Fatah members that Egypt had offered to give the PA some 1,600 kilometers of land in Sinai adjacent to Gaza, thus quintupling the size of the Gaza Strip. Egypt even offered to allow all the so-called “Palestinian refugees” to settle in the expanded Gaza Strip. Then Abbas told his Fatah followers that he rejected the Egyptian offer. On Monday Army Radio substantiated Abbas’s claim. According to Army Radio, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi proposed that the Palestinians establish their state in the expanded Gaza Strip and accept limited autonomy over parts of Judea and Samaria.

Dmitriy Shapiro: The Jewish State Supports a Kurdish State, But is the Idea Viable?— The leader of the Jewish state has called for the creation of an independent Kurdish state. But some experts question the viability of the idea as well as the Kurds’ intentions. “With respect to the Kurds, they are a warrior nation that is politically moderate, has proven they can be politically committed, and is worthy of statehood,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in late June. Since then, the Islamic State terrorist group has continued to wreak havoc in Iraq. The Kurds, a historically maligned and stateless minority, have borne a large share of the responsibility for fighting the jihadists as they threaten the Kurdish semiautonomous region and the ethnic minorities living there.

Ariella Charny: Why I Am Devoting My Life to Israel— It’s June 2009. I am in Israel on a CAMERA Student Leadership trip, and I’m on the phone with my mother. “Mom, I want to join the IDF.” I was almost 19 years old at the time. “No.” “Okay.” Now, fast-forward to September 2014. In two months time, I will enlist into the IDF Spokesperson’s unit. It took me a while. A decision more than five years in the making. It’s the realization of a dream. I guess it’s not the typical dream. Others dream of being a dancer, or a doctor. Still others dream of being the president or an astronaut. My brother, at age three, confidently asserted his ambition of “driving the big green garbage truck” when he grew up. But I could never quite decide on that one thing I wanted to be, and my aspirations spanned from being an artist to a lawyer to an environmental scientist, and then back to an artist.

John Rossomando: Muslim Leaders Insist Islamic State Not Islamic— More than a dozen American Muslim leaders condemned the Islamic State’s (IS) brutal tactics as contrary to Islam Wednesday during a press conference held at the National Press Club. But in doing so, several speakers urged the public to ignore the terrorist group’s theological motivations. Talib Shareef, imam of Masjid Muhammad in Washington, D.C., exhorted the media to refer to IS as the “Anti-Islamic” State because its actions run contrary to the teachings of Mohammed. “This is not an Islamic State of being; it’s not an Islamic State of mind; and it’s not an Islamic State that the prophet himself created in his first state, where he saw this beautiful peace and equality for all religions – Jews, Christians that were there with him,” Shareef said, noting what Muslims call the Medina Charter.

4--Scripture of the Day Yahweh

Genesis 29: 9-12

9 While he was still speaking with them, Rachel came with her father’s sheep, for she was a shepherdess. 10 When Jacob saw Rachel the daughter of Laban his mother’s brother, and the sheep of Laban his mother’s brother, Jacob went up and rolled the stone from the mouth of the well and watered the flock of Laban his mother’s brother. 11 Then Jacob kissed Rachel, and lifted his voice and wept. 12 Jacob told Rachel that he was a relative of her father and that he was Rebekah’s son, and she ran and told her father.

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
