Jews Against Israel Profane Yahweh’s Name

The New York Times is not known for being Israel friendly.  Some argue that the Times is Israel’s worst enemy in the U.S.  I might agree since so many Jewish people are associated with the Times in one way or another, but Barack Obama and John Kerry stand out in my mind as being Israel’s worst U.S. enemies.  The Times is third on my list followed closely by dilettantes in Hollywood, both entertainers and moguls who have more dollars than sense and much more press coverage than they deserve.

This headline in The Lid caught my eye: “NY Times ‘Outs’ Anti-Israel U.S. Negotiator Martin Indyk”.  Jewish people in the U.S. have earned a reputation for being too chummy with people who detest them.  Some Jewish people, people like Martin Indyk for example, try to play all sides from the middle.  They never seem to grasp the fact that to anti-Semites of all varieties they are Jewish people first and foremost.  Their heritage trumps everything.

Yahweh sees Jewish people that way, too.  Keep reading because I explain what I mean.

This is what The Lid said about the Times article:

Martin S. Indyk friend of Bill and Hillary, who was hired by John Kerry to mediate between Israel and the Palestinians (even though he does not like the Jewish state) was “outed” by the New York Times on Saturday. You see Indyk has a conflict of interest working on the Middle East conflict and being vice president and director of the Foreign Policy Program at the Brookings Institute, which is getting large donations from Qatar a country known to be huge donor to terrorist groups including Hamas.

Indyk has been accused of being downright nasty toward Israel in public and even worse in private.

The Times reports that Qatar who provides funding to ISIS and Hamas (and gives sanctuary to Hamas leaders) agreed last year to make a $14.8 million, four-year donation to Brookings, which has helped fund a Brookings affiliate in Qatar and a project on United States relations with the Islamic world.

German Development Minister Gerd Muller said last month:

“You have to ask who is arming, who is financing ISIS troops? The key word there is Qatar – and how do we deal with these people and states politically.”

Before you start jumping for joy and doing high-fives, remember that the Times is having trouble with circulation and ad revenue.  Economic distress causes strange things to happen.

There is no mystery here.  Obama and Kerry foisted Indyk on Israel because of his attitude toward the Jewish state and because he’s Jewish.  Indyk’s attitude matches theirs perfectly, and his race makes Obama and Kerry look like they are sympathetic to Jewish problems.  However, Indyk demonstrates no appreciation for Yahweh and His promises about Jewish people and the Promised Land.  Obama and Kerry are even more clueless about Yahweh than he is.

In Ezekiel, Yahweh described people like Indyk this way:

“When they came to the nations where they went, they profaned My holy Name, because it was said of them, ‘These are the people of Yahweh; yet they have come out of His land.’” (Ezekiel 36: 20)

Like so many other Jewish people, Indyk doesn’t understand this indelible fact: Yahweh gave him no choice.  Because of his birthright alone, he represents Yahweh in the eyes of the world.  His beliefs and assertions are irrelevant.  His misdeeds profane Yahweh’s Name, and there is nothing that he can say or do to change it.  It’s ridiculous for anyone to stand in the way of Yahweh’s efforts to fulfill His promises, but when Jewish people do it, it’s dangerous, especially for them.

It’s peculiar to me that so few Jewish people know God’s Name and most of those who do will not say it despite the fact that Yahweh commanded us to declare His Name boldly throughout the world.  In the mid-2nd century B.C., rabbis forbade Jewish people from saying “Yahweh” to prevent them from profaning His Name or from blaspheming it.  That prohibition is still in effect today, and it runs counter to the Torah, the prophets, and the writings.  Simply put, it’s a sin against Yahweh.

It’s time for Jewish people to do what Yahweh commanded them to do—that is to declare His Name to the world.  That’s a problem because, as I said, many Jewish people don’t know Yahweh’s Name.  The problem is particularly prevalent in Southeast Asia where Jews and Christians have been taught that Yahweh’s name is Allah.  Their Bibles actually use the name “Allah”.

Recently, political leaders in Southeast Asia passed laws prohibiting non-Muslims from using the name “Allah”.  I’m glad they did, because Yahweh is not Allah and Allah is not Yahweh.  Stated another way, there is only One real Elohim, and His Name is Yahweh.  It’s time for Jewish people to get it right.

It’s also time for Jewish people to get onboard with Yahweh’s plan.  They can’t stop Him from fulfilling His promises, so they might as well join Him.  As I said, in the eyes of the world, it doesn’t matter what they believe, say, or do.  They will always be associated with Yahweh, and they will always be Jewish.

If you haven’t read my book His Name is Yahweh, you should.

David Harris: Would I lie to you?— What’s heading our way, in this terrorist-bloodied world? We depend on international media to help us find out. So it’s time to look at some dirty secrets, foreign correspondent edition. Trench coats and panamas have given way to sat phones and moral ambiguity. An ideal starting point in understanding this media ambiguity – and its occasional, sinister undertones and implications for us – is the Israel-Hamas war. The penny should have dropped well before today’s Gaza crisis. No later than April 11, 2003, in fact. That day, CNN admitted in the New York Times that it hid and manipulated reality, though the wording was more delicately self-regarding. Prior to the 2003 defeat of Saddam Hussein, CNN couldn’t reveal fully the monstrous excesses and threatening nature of his Iraq, because, said chief news executive Eason Jordan, the network’s Iraqi staff risked retaliation.

Dion Nissenbaum and Stacy Meichtry: Coalition Emerges to Battle Islamic State Militants— American allies including the U.K. and France said they would help form an international military coalition to fight a growing threat from Islamic State militants. While members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) meeting here on Thursday were weighing what role they would play, U.S. officials urged them to commit to a strategy that includes providing more arms to Kurdish forces fighting the Islamist insurgents in northern Iraq. The American plan also entails choking off the financial resources the militants rely on to pay their fighters, curbing the flow of foreign extremists and backing Arab forces capable of battling Islamic State.

Bridget Johns: Morphing Into ‘Conventional Army,’ Boko Haram Poised to ‘Explode Any Day, Like ISIS’— As the world’s attention is captured by the terrifying determination and bloody modus operandi of the Islamic State, an al-Qaeda affiliate that declared a caliphate last week is sweeping across northeast Nigeria with lightning-quick efficiency and equally brutal means in a bid to break up the most populous nation on the continent. Boko Haram was on a steady march through Borno state when it overran Gwoza, a city of about 275,000, declaring on Aug. 24 the town now had “nothing to do with Nigeria” — and declaring it “part of the Islamic caliphate.” Borno state is the region where the kidnapping of Chibok schoolgirls in April touched off the #BringBackOurGirls campaign. The campaign continues in activist circles, but the global attention to the plight of all civilians being terrorized by Boko Haram quickly rose and fell in the scope of a news cycle. At least seven of the girls’ parents have since been killed in Boko Haram attacks.

Khaled Abu Toameh: Hamas: Give Us West Bank So We Can Destroy Israel— If the West Bank had one quarter of the weapons that the Gaza Strip has, Israel would be eliminated in one day. This is what Hamas leader Mahmoud Zahar told worshippers during a sermon he delivered on September 5. Zahar, who, during Israel’s Operation Protective Edge, spent his time in hiding, was speaking during Friday prayers at Martyr Abdullah Azzam Mosque in Gaza City. Abdullah Azzam, by the way, was a Palestinian “scholar,” teacher and mentor of Osama bin Laden, the slain leader of Al-Qaeda. Azzam was killed in Pakistan in 1989. Back to Zahar, who delivered his first sermon since the Egypt-brokered cease-fire between Hamas and Israel was announced in late August: he chose to remind Palestinians and the rest of the world of his movement’s dream to destroy Israel.

Gilead Sher and Liran Ofek: The New-Old Palestinian Initiative to Establish a State— By presenting his new three-stage process toward the establishment of a Palestinian state, PA President Mahmoud Abbas is now trying to maneuver amid the complex circumstances in which he finds himself: the renewed call for negotiations with Israel in the first stage is designed to twist Hamas’ arm, contain intra-Palestinian tensions, and influence the US mediator, whereas promoting the idea of joining international institutions and threatening to take Israel to court stem in part from the lack of domestic legitimacy to negotiate with Israel.  To the extent that the Abbas-led initiative gathers momentum, Israel will in the next few months be left with a difficult starting position for political moves, both vis-à-vis the Palestinians and the international community. Therefore, an Israeli initiative that manages to convey a drive to resolve the Arab-Israeli conflict based on a responsible, long term, sober view of Israel’s vital national interests could well balance the scales in advance of the coming political rounds.

David Deptula: How To Defeat ISIL: It’s All About The Strategy— Those who oppose ISIL — the so-called “Islamic State” – must grasp the fact that no amount of kinetic force will make up for an inadequate plan to crush it. American power, both within and without the battlespace, will only be realized when power is guided by a comprehensive, coherent and realistic strategy. To date, much of the public discussion is focused on means — vice the ways and ends — of the use of force. In discussions of military campaigns, many often focus on the tools through which operations are prosecuted: elements like boots on the ground, air power, or sea power. However, such assessments ignore the strategic principles that guide their use. Looking at the present set of circumstances in Iraq, current US objectives are tactical at best, and center on protecting American outposts and conducting humanitarian relief. American aircrews are striking a very limited set of targets to facilitate these objectives. This is a far different mission set than what is called for to render IS ineffective.

Soeren Kern: Germany’s “Sharia Police”— Muslim radicals have begun enforcing Islamic Sharia law on the streets of Wuppertal, a city in North Rhine-Westphalia, the state with the largest Muslim population in Germany. In what government officials say is a blatant challenge to the rule of law and the democratic order in Germany, groups of young bearded Islamists — some wearing orange traffic safety vests emblazoned with the words “Sharia Police” — have declared parts of downtown Wuppertal to be a “Sharia Controlled Zone.” The self-appointed guardians of public morals have been distributing yellow leaflets that explain the Islamist code of conduct in the city’s Sharia zones. They have urged both Muslim and non-Muslim passersby to listen to Salafist sermons and to refrain from alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, gambling, listening to music, pornography or prostitution.

Scott Simon: Kissinger: Iran a Bigger Problem than ISIS—Former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger told NPR: “I consider Iran a bigger problem than ISIS. ISIS is a group of adventurers with a very aggressive ideology. But they have to conquer more and more territory before they can became a strategic, permanent reality. I think a conflict with ISIS – important as it is – is more manageable than a confrontation with Iran.”

Amir Taheri: Hamas and the Delusion of Victory—As I watched Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh boasting on live television about his group’s “historic victory,” he punctured the global media’s narrative, according to which Israel triggered the recent mini-war. “We started the war by striking Haifa with rockets,” Haniyeh boasted. Haniyeh cannot admit defeat because that would expose him to the charge of reckless adventurism. He and his associates ignored the advice of Carl von Clausewitz, not to join a battle without having at least a 50% chance of winning it.

Jack Engelhard: Hurry While There Is Still Time To Be Anti-Semitic— To be an anti-Semite must be wonderful, a truly wonderful life. Hating the Jewish people answers everything. What a terrific shortcut to whatever troubles you. You’re stopped for drunk driving? Do what Mel Gibson did. Blame the Jews. Your talentless career is on freefall and you need something to keep your name in the news? Do the Russell Brand shtick and blast away against Israel. You’re a fading rock star with nothing left to sing, join the Boycott movement, as did Rogers Waters to win new fans. You’re a failed president who needs to make amends, do the Jimmy Carter shuffle and dance with the people who brought on 9/11.

SnyderTalk Comment: All kidding aside, I think that time is running short for anti-Semites, and they don’t even know it.  Most of them probably won’t get it until it’s too late.

4--Scripture of the Day Yahweh

Genesis 29: 4-8

4 Jacob said to them, “My brothers, where are you from?” And they said, “We are from Haran.” 5 He said to them, “Do you know Laban the son of Nahor?” And they said, “We know him.” 6 And he said to them, “Is it well with him?” And they said, “It is well, and here is Rachel his daughter coming with the sheep.” 7 He said, “Behold, it is still high day; it is not time for the livestock to be gathered. Water the sheep, and go, pasture them.” 8 But they said, “We cannot, until all the flocks are gathered, and they roll the stone from the mouth of the well; then we water the sheep.”

SnyderTalk Comment: Read His Name is Yahweh.

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
