The Palestinian Authority has made an entire series of new demands as their price for extending peace talks with Israel. The demands essentially amount to “giving away the whole store.” The Palestinians demand that Israel up front completely capitulate to the Palestinian endgame.

If the Palestinians are going to make these far-fetched demands, it is time for Israel to open up a broad range of issues for discussion as well. Let’s put it all on the negotiating table; all of Israel’s rights and demands.

The Temple Mount: The Palestinians must be willing to negotiate shared sovereignty over the place most holy to the Jewish people. For starters, as a pre-condition of Israel’s joining the talks, Jewish prayer must be facilitated on the vast Temple Mount plaza. A small synagogue tucked away on the fringes of the plaza won’t overshadow the two large Muslim structures on the Mount, but will demonstrate Palestinian recognition of the Jewish people’s ancient ties to the holy site and to the holy land. Furthermore, a new arrangement must be agreed upon for the joint conduct and supervision of archaeological digs on the Mount.

SnyderTalk Comment: This suggestion may sound foolish, but it’s actually a good starting point. Yahweh will not share the Temple Mount, Mount Moriah, with any god. In the end, He will have exclusive sovereignty over the holiest site in the world.
Candidly, I don’t think that this proposal will gain any traction. Even so, if it’s presented by Israel’s leaders, the “Palestinian” reaction would reveal a deep and abiding truth: they want Israel’s total annihilation. For them, nothing else will do. Yahweh’s people need to understand that there will be no peace no matter what Israel offers the “Palestinians”.
And as for the pagan shrines currently sitting atop Mount Moriah, Yahweh will see to them Himself. He may use a prophet in some way when the time comes, but He will take care of it.

Alana Semuels: Attacks on Jews show a troubling increase— The elderly woman had stopped by the Jewish Community Center in the Canarsie area of Brooklyn and was shuffling away, leaning heavily on her walker, when a young man punched her in the head as he walked past, knocking her to the ground. When she returned to the center for help, the staff called for an ambulance, vigilant that this might have been another example of the “knockout game,” a social media trend that had young people punching out random individuals on the street last year. Since that November incident, the neighborhood hasn’t had any other anti-Semitic assaults, but that doesn’t mean the victim has healed, said Rabbi Avrohom Hecht, executive director of the center, who helped the woman after the assault.
Rolene Marks: The Steady Rise of African Zionism— There is something quite remarkable happening on the African continent. A groundswell of love and support from African Christians for the State of Israel, forged in biblical ties and a mutual love of the land. British suicide bomber and jihadist, Abdul Waheed Majeed, in his last moments before ramming a truck laden with explosives into a Syrian prison, posed in a white Islamic tunic and black scarf for the cameras. Asked by the cameraman to say a few words in Arabic before his “martyrdom,” Majeed replied: “Sorry? I can’t speak. Everyone asks me that and … I’m not a very good speaker.”
Ruthie Blum: Dead wrong— On Thursday, Israel and the Palestinian Authority agreed to continue “negotiating” the terms that would enable both sides to extend “negotiations” on whether to enter “negotiations” for Palestinian statehood. The farce has become so tedious that its latest act wasn’t even mentioned in the Israeli media. This is not surprising. Like the boy who cried wolf, representatives of the United States, the PA and Israel keep pretending that a deal of some kind is around the corner. And, as in Aesop’s fable, when it does arrive, its deadly fangs will likely go unnoticed until it’s too late.
Yoav Limor: Terrorism en route to peace talks— The defense establishment believes that the terror attack that took place on Passover eve near the Palestinian village of Idhna, which claimed the life of 47-year-old Baruch Mizrahi, a chief superintendent in the Israel Police, was an isolated attack unrelated to the current stalemate in the peace talks, and therefore does not represent a shift in the situation in Judea and Samaria. In the hours following the attack, defense officials hedged that it was the work of a lone gunman — a man carrying out an attack without the help of accomplices and without telling anyone beforehand. Terror plots by lone attackers are nearly impossible to thwart, as an individual who does not share his thoughts and plans with anyone leaves no intelligence trail.
Adi Rubinstein: In Swedish, it doesn’t sound quite so good— Increasing strength on the far Right, Muslim population growth, and boycotts of Israel are reaching all parts of Europe – including Sweden. Jerusalem Institute of Justice holds hasbara event at Uppsala University to give a voice to Israel.
Dan Margalit: Learning from history— We have no way of telling whether Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s pursuit of a two-state solution is just a tactical maneuver that is designed to lay blame on Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. What’s clear is that Abbas does not want this solution to materialize, as this would require him to announce an end to all claims against Israel. Abbas has assumed this posture since 2000, when he pressured then-PA President Yasser Arafat to bolt from the talks precisely after then-Prime Minister Ehud Barak had finally put Jerusalem on the table. Abbas also ran away from the deal then-Prime Minister Ehud Olmert offered him in 2009. Now he wants everything but won’t give anything in return.
Dr. Ashraf Ramelah: Egyptian Christians slammed for visiting Israel for Easter— While Jews around the world celebrate Passover, Christians from Egypt visit the Holy Land for their week of Holy Pascha (the Passion of Christ). For this pilgrimage, Egyptian Christians (Orthodox, Catholic and Evangelical) leave Cairo by the thousands on daily flights to Israel. Egypt’s airlines have increased departures to 12 flights per week from the normal four. In spite of the regularity of this annual event, rumors vilifying Israel propagate throughout the Egyptian press. On Sunday, the Arab news website Elaph alluded to an Israeli government ploy by citing sources in Egypt’s travel industry that claimed Israeli visas issued for Easter travel were really intended for another “mass” immigration of Coptic Christians to Israel. These fears stem from earlier waves of Christian emigration.
Khaled Abu Toameh and Tovah Lazaroff: PA Says Ratification of Geneva Convention Makes Israel Liable for War Crimes; Israeli Officials: Entire Palestinian Leadership Should Be Indicted—Israel is liable for war crimes over the prisoner issue now that the Palestinian Authority has ratified the four Geneva Conventions, including the one relating to prisoners of war, PA officials chargedon Thursday. An Israeli official, however, said that it was the Palestinians who had now made themselves vulnerable by signing the Geneva Conventions. “According to the Geneva Conventions, the entire Palestinian leadership should be immediately indicted for the thousands of rockets that have been fired from Palestinian territories into Israel in what is a double war crime,” the official said. Palestinians “deliberately targeted innocent civilians, and they are using Gaza’s civilian population as a human shield….The Palestinians should be extremely careful if they think that international legality can be exploited as a tool against Israel.”
