UN Report Warns that Global Warming Threatens Us All—Hogwash

The most recent global warming alarmist news item comes from the U.N.  That’s no surprise since the U.N. powers that be have been struggling for decades to strengthen the bungling institution and increase its influence despite mountains of hard evidence that it is corrupt and inept.

Concerning the U.N. report, Bryan Walsh of TIME magazine said:

There have been thousands and thousands and thousands of studies published on climate change since 2007, when the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) published its fourth major assessment on global warming. It has taken hundreds and hundreds of scientists to comb through all that research. But the broad, basic message of all those studies is clear enough: climate change is real, it is happening, and unless we’re very lucky, we’re not doing anywhere near enough to adapt to it.

That’s the underlying message of chapter two in the IPCC’s fifth assessment of climate-change science, which was released on Monday morning in the Japanese city of Yokohama. Focusing on the impacts of climate change — ranging from the effects on endangered species to changes in agriculture — the new report demonstrates just how wide-ranging the effects of a warming world will be. “We have assessed impacts as they are happening in natural and human systems on all continents and oceans,” said Rajendra Pachauri, the chair of the IPCC, which was jointly established by the U.N. and the World Meteorological Organization. “No one on this planet will be untouched by climate change.”

Rather than write a lengthy rebuttal to the disgustingly inaccurate U.N. report, I decided to share a brief excerpt from my novel Stand!  The book presents a wealth of factual information that proves beyond any reasonable doubt that Earth’s climate is cooling—not warming.  Thus, we must conclude that global warming alarmists, especially those at the U.N., have ulterior motives.

While we can speculate about the nefarious intentions of global warming hucksters, there is no room for uncertainty about the fact that Earth’s climate is cooling.  In this excerpt from Stand!, Wes Carlyle, a university professor, and his research partner Karen Sterling, a graduate student, are guests on The Neal Boortz Show discussing their research findings:

“Neal,” Wes said, “this is something we know for a fact.  Global temperatures peaked in 1998 and they’ve been falling ever since, but man-made CO2 emissions have continued to increase.  That blows a giant hole in the middle of the global warming theory we hear so much about today.”

“For example,” Karen said, “all four major global temperature tracking organizations—Hadley Climate Research, Goddard Institute for Space Studies, the University of Alabama at Huntsville, and RSS…it’s part of The Weather Channel—released data showing that 2007 saw the most precipitous drop in global temperature ever recorded.  It was also the single fastest year-over-year temperature change ever recorded either up or down.”

“I read about that,” Neal said.

“And the pattern continued in 2008,” Wes said.  “According to the National Climate Data Center, spring 2008 was the 33rd coolest spring, October 2008 was the 44th coolest October, and December 2008 was the 35th coldest December in 114 years of record keeping.”

“Neal,” Karen said, “in October 2008, Arctic Sea ice grew at a faster rate than ever recorded, and at this very moment, the Antarctic, which contains 90 percent of earth’s ice, has more ice than has ever been recorded.”

“That’s amazing.  If you watch network news programs, you’ll never hear that kind of information.”

“There’s a good reason you don’t,” Karen said.  “It doesn’t support the global warming theory network news people want desperately to believe.  Here are some more facts.  In 2008, China had its coldest winter in 100 years; Baghdad saw its first snowfall in recorded history; and North America had the most snow cover in 50 years.  Those aren’t signs of global warming.”

“There’s a lot more to this story” Wes said.  “In 2008, satellite imagery from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory confirmed that the Pacific Decadal Oscillation, or PDO, switched from the warm temperature mode it had been in since 1977 to the cool temperature mode.  That’s critical because it’s a harbinger of global climate change.”

“In 1945,” Karen said, “PDO switched from the warm mode to the cool mode, and global temperatures fell for three decades; in 1977, PDO switched from the cool mode to the warm mode, and global temperatures rose for three decades; and in 2008, PDO switched back to the cool mode.  Like Wes said, we’ve already seen a precipitous decline in global temperature.  The correlation between PDO cycles and global climate is well established, and the cycles tend to last for 25 to 30 years.”

“There’s been a similar cooling pattern in the North Atlantic,” Wes said.  “It’s called the North Atlantic Oscillation, or NAO.  These two simultaneous shifts virtually guarantee that we’ll have at least 3 decades of cooler, wetter weather in North America.”

“Don Easterbrook is a Professor Emeritus of Geology at Western Washington University,” Karen said.  “He believes the effects of global cooling will be even more life-threatening than global warming.  For instance, he predicts crop failures in critical agricultural regions, increased energy demand globally, and transportation difficulties.  The effects of these problems will be compounded by an increase in global population over the next few decades from about 6 billion to roughly 9 billion people.”

“Professor Easterbrook’s predictions are very reasonable,” Wes added.  “We have lots of evidence that cooling cycles are associated with mass starvation and disease.  For example, the potato famine in Ireland, or more correctly the Great Irish Famine, in the 1800s was associated with the Little Ice Age.  More than 1,000,000 people in Ireland died as a result of that famine, and many more migrated to the Untied States where food was more plentiful.  Warming cycles tend to be more prosperous periods.”

“This is our concern,” Karen said.  “We’re about to spend trillions of dollars to reduce CO2 emissions, but earth’s atmosphere is already cooling.  That money will be needed to help prevent starvation and fight diseases.  Wasting it by trying to solve a problem that doesn’t exist is ridiculous.”

The facts presented in this excerpt and in the rest of the book are accurate, and the book exposes many more lies that are being sold to a gullible world as truth.  Google the facts and see for yourself.

Stand! is a gripping novel that you will enjoy reading, and you will actually learn something in the process.  I hope that you will take the time to read the book and that you will tell your friends about it.

This is a serious matter—one that we must deal with as the grossly inaccurate U.N. report proves.  Stand! is available at Amazon.

13--Perspectives 2

#####

Jackson Diehl: Departure from reality—During a tour of the Middle East in November, Secretary of State John F. Kerry portrayed the region as on its way to a stunning series of breakthroughs, thanks to U.S. diplomacy. In Egypt, he said, “the roadmap” to democracy “is being carried out, to the best of our perception.” In Syria, a peace conference would soon replace the Assad regime with a transitional government, because “the Russians and the Iranians . . . will make certain that the Syrian regime will live up to its obligation.” Last but hardly least, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict was on its way to a final settlement — by April. “This is not mission impossible,” insisted the secretary of state. “This can happen.”

William Booth and Ruth Eglash: Palestinians Plan for “Day After” Peace Talks Fail—If U.S.-brokered peace talks collapse in coming days, Palestinians say their options range from urging international boycotts against Israel, holding mass protests, unilaterally seeking more recognition at the UN, and trying to take a case against Israel to the International Criminal Court, alleging that the Israeli military has committed war crimes in the West Bank. “It is a huge bluff,” said Alan Baker, an expert on international law and a former Israeli ambassador to Canada, adding that it was doubtful that the Palestinians could persuade the International Criminal Court to hear their case.

AFP-Ynet News: Israeli Official: Palestinians Placing Obstacles in the Way of Peace Talks—A senior Israeli official said Saturday that Israel was willing to free a fourth group of Palestinian security prisoners, but the Palestinians were placing obstacles in the way. “Israel is interested in continuing the peace talks with the Palestinians and is prepared to carry out the fourth stage of the release of convicted terrorists. But the Palestinians are creating difficulties with this when they say that the moment after the release of the prisoners they will stop the talks.”

Michael Herzog: EU Should Discourage Palestinians from Bypassing Peace Talks—It is important that Europe avoids giving any incentive to the Palestinians to bring about the collapse of the Israeli-Palestinian peace process. In particular, EU states should firmly discourage the Palestinians from resuming efforts to secure recognition in international forums and to re-launch an anti-Israel political-legal international campaign as an alternative to an agreement with Israel. If President Abbas feels he will receive broad international support for unilateral measures, especially from Europe, his incentive to engage constructively with U.S.-brokered bilateral talks will be diminished.

Dina Ezzat: Israel-Egypt: Peace Treaty, Not Peace—35 years after the Egyptian-Israeli peace treaty was signed in March 1979, trade cooperation has been limited. A member of the Egyptian business community who has been doing business with Israel insists on keeping a low profile for fear of being “stigmatized as dealing with the enemy.” He says: “We have a peace deal and we cannot do business, it has been 35 years since this peace treaty was signed and still it is a big issue if someone said let us do business with Israel or let us benefit from their agricultural expertise.” A retired Egyptian diplomat recalled: “I clearly remember that during the 2006 Israeli attack on Lebanon there was top intelligence information regarding Hizbullah going from Cairo and from other Arab capitals to Israeli counterparts, with the hope that Israel would fully eliminate Hizbullah, which was perceived as an adversary by Cairo due to its ties with both Tehran and Damascus that were antagonizing Egypt.” This cooperation was also very much present in the winter of 2009 during Israel’s operation against Palestinians in Gaza.

Aryn Baker: Egypt’s Christians Place Their Faith in Al-Sisi—The army chief-turned-presidential candidate, Abdul Fattah al-Sisi, is the miracle that Egypt’s 8 million Christians have been waiting for after weathering an Islamist leadership. When Sisi announced on July 3, 2013, that he had just overthrown President Mohamed Morsi, he was flanked by Egypt’s two most important religious leaders, the Grand Sheikh of al Azhar Mosque and Pope Tawadros, head of Egypt’s Christian church, united on one stage. Now that Sisi is planning a presidential run, he can count on solid support from a Christian population traumatized by fears of continued communal attacks.

David Brog: The Teaching of Contempt Returns—Most Christians eventually reacted to the Holocaust with responsibility and remorse. They recognized that centuries of negative Christian teachings about Jews and Judaism likely helped predispose Europe towards Hitler’s racial anti-Semitism. In 1987, the Presbyterians repudiated negative teachings about Jews, writing: “It is agonizing to discover that the church’s teaching of contempt [for the Jews] was a major ingredient that made possible the monstrous policy of annihilation of Jews by Nazi Germany.” Sadly, the Presbyterians are now emerging as the first major Christian denomination to resume the teaching of contempt in the form of Zionism Unsettled, a wicked book produced by the Israel-Palestine Mission Network of the Presbyterian Church (USA). The book is critical of Israel’s very existence. It slanders Israel, Israelis and all who support them in their struggle for survival. It is a passion play about bloodthirsty Jews driven by their supremacist Judaism to devour innocent gentile victims. The Presbyterian Church should rush to repudiate this libel.

Zalman Shoval: Obama makes a pilgrimage to Riyadh— Toward the end of World War II, then-U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt met with Saudi Arabia’s King Abdulaziz aboard the USS Quincy, which was anchored at Great Bitter Lake in the Suez Canal, and forged the U.S.-Saudi Quincy Agreement, based on the idea of security in exchange for oil. Now, 69 years later, the agreement is beginning to unravel, and U.S. President Barack Obama hurried to Riyadh on Friday to try to tighten it up once again. Despite advances in independent energy production, the U.S. still imports 15 percent of the oil it consumes from Saudi Arabia.

Lawrence Kadish: A 21st Century “Patriotic Energy Policy” is Required to Grow America’s Economy and Reduce its “Light Years” of Debt— An unchecked national debt will profoundly damage our country, its future and the fate of our allies. Just two states, Utah and Colorado, hold approximately 3 trillion barrels of oil in shale deposits which would provide us with the means to release domestic energy resources that would add jobs and re-industrialize our nation. Oil exporters like Venezuela and the Arab Emirates are understandably nervous about losing those American petrodollars. It is not a surprise that they have underwritten Hollywood films attacking fracking as an environmental threat…and that they will continue to use their wealth and influence to try to short circuit America’s pursuit of accessing domestic energy resources.

Jonathan Marcus: Can Nato face up to Russia task?“Let’s be clear from the outset. The Cold War is not back. Russia for all its military power and posturing is not the Soviet Union of old. This is not going to be a re-run of the ideological battle that divided the world for most of the last century.” That in a nutshell was the view of one senior Nato diplomat who I spoke to recently. But something has changed in the wake of Russia’s seizure of the Crimea and its continuing military threat to eastern Ukraine.

4--Scripture of the Day Yahweh

Malachi 2: 17

You have wearied Yahweh with your words. Yet you say, “How have we wearied Him?” In that you say, “Everyone who does evil is good in the sight of Yahweh, and He delights in them,” or, “Where is the God of justice?”

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
