Falsely Accused

Falsely Accused is a true story about a young woman who was accused of committing a double homicide. It’s about a travesty of justice, and it reveals Yahweh intervening in the life of a believer to rescue her from danger in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds. Everyone will enjoy the book, but young people in particular need to read it because the mistakes made that led to the problem could have been avoided. They were the kinds of mistakes that young people are prone to make. As they say, forewarned is forearmed.

Sukkot 2011 in Grand Prairie, Texas—Part 2

Rusty Maisel, a Bible scholar and antiquities expert, was at Sukkot in Grand Prairie this year. He presented several artifacts that were well worth seeing. For example, he had with him an original King James Bible, circa 1611. There were approximately 20,000 1611 King James Bibles printed, and today fewer than 200 of them remain. The one Rusty has is in very good condition for a Bible that’s 400 years old. The video below shows the 1611 King James Bible and an artifact in cuneiform script that is a proclamation from King Nebuchadnezzar:

Among other things, Rusty is also a printer, but he’s not your typical printer. He builds printing presses by hand. They are made from wood, and they are replicas of the printing press used by Gutenberg when he printed the Gutenberg Bible. Rusty even has a page from an original Gutenberg Bible. I’ve seen it and touched it. Through painstaking research, he has identified the original Gutenberg Bible from which it came. The video below shows one of the presses that Rusty has made:

Rusty’s exhibit includes many other artifacts that will intrigue Bible-believing Christians. His presence at Sukkot in Grand Prairie was a blessing to all of us. Hopefully, he’ll join us again next year in Grand Prairie, but who knows? Maybe next year we’ll be in Jerusalem.
