Islamic State has a Strategy for Dealing with the U.S.
President Obama may not have a strategy for dealing with Islamic State, but Islamic State sure has a strategy for dealing with the U.S. It wants to seek and destroy Americans by beheading if possible with video documentation for confirmation and entertainment, the kind that cruel and merciless people enjoy so much.
That’s not a sick joke. It’s deadly serious. In its third issue, the IS magazine, Dabiq, bragged about killing James Foley and mocked President Obama.
IS isn’t a ragtag group of misfits as one Obama administration official suggested a short while ago. It means business. We know it because IS posts videos of beheadings and mass murders on the internet, and its diabolical leaders say it in crystal clear language that even imbeciles can understand.
If you think it’s a joke, the joke’s on you.
The civilized world should be outraged, but instead, IS’ atrocities are treated as an aberration by left-leaning politicians and journalists. They continue to trumpet their pro-Islam message to the world while they are being called upon to confront the most brutal and sadistic enemy the world has seen since Nazism.
It’s called Islamism. Its adherents are called Islamists. They bear a striking resemblance to disciples of the Third Reich. They are hellish creatures.
I used to consultant with the military. Our admirals and generals have a plan for every imaginable contingency. Does it make any sense to believe that some the brightest military minds in the world don’t have a strategy for dealing with Islamist extremists in Iraq and Syria?
Last week, when President Obama said that he didn’t have a strategy for dealing with IS, he was really saying that he didn’t like the military strategies. He prefers his own, but he doesn’t have one. If there ever was a man who is totally out of his league, Barack Obama is that man.
Notice that I said the military develops “strategies” for contingencies. That’s plural. The military doesn’t develop just one. For each contingency, they develop many strategies that take into account every imaginable scenario. Military strategists are the best strategists of all.
It’s no wonder that our friends in the Middle East (both Jews and Arabs) are so skeptical about Obama and his intentions. They would be fools if they weren’t because Obama’s incompetence is threatening their lives—and ours, too.

Prof. Abraham Ben-Zvi: Obama shows amateurism on ISIS—President Barack Obama’s “plan” to forge an international coalition to confront the lethal tentacles of the Islamic State (ISIS), is above all a testament to his amateurism and apathetic posture toward the growing crisis emanating from Iraq and the Levant. Obama admitted that he has yet to devise a comprehensive strategy to meet the challenge posed by ISIS. Despite this jaw-dropping statement, Obama’s incompetence should not have come as a surprise. What could we expect from an administration who has had a passionate love affair with the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt all the while turning a blind eye to Hamas extremism? Obama is no Dwight D. Eisenhower, who engaged in meticulous planning before unveiling the Baghdad Pact in 1955. Neither is he President George H. W. Bush, who forged an international coalition in 1990 to fight the Gulf War. Obama’s modus operandi is all about ad-hoc policymaking and band-aid solutions.
Raymond Ibrahim: Raped and Slaughtered: Muslim Persecution of Christians, April, 2014— From one end of the Islamic world to the other, the abduction and rape of Christian girls at the hands of Muslims—both terrorists and laymen—was a dominant theme in April. On Easter Sunday morning, for instance, four Muslim men raped a 7-year-old Christian girl named Sara in a Pakistani village. Last reported, the child was in an intensive care unit in “critical” condition. According to Asia News, “the police, instead of arresting the culprits, helped the local clan to kidnap the girl’s father; Iqbal Masih was taken and hidden in a secret place to ‘force the family not to report the story, to reach an agreement with the criminals and to avoid a dispute of a religious background.'”
Sabbath Truth: How the Sabbath Was Changed— In both Old and New Testament there is not a shadow of variation in the doctrine of the Sabbath. The seventh day, Saturday, is the only day ever designated by the term Sabbath in the entire Bible. Not only was Jesus a perfect example in observing the weekly seventh-day Sabbath, but all His disciples followed the same pattern after Jesus had gone back to heaven. Yet no intimation of any change of the day is made. The apostle Paul, who wrote pages of counsel about lesser issues of Jewish and Gentile conflicts, had not one word to say about any controversy over the day of worship. Circumcision, foods offered to idols, and other Jewish customs were readily challenged by early Gentile Christians in the church, but the weightier matter of weekly worship never was an issue. Why? For the simple reason that no change was made from the historic seventh day of Old Testament times, and from creation itself. Had there been a switch from the Sabbath to the first day of the week, you can be sure the controversy would have been more explosive than any other to those Jewish Christians.
Avi Issacharoff: El-Sissi a clear victor, Gaza the loser, after 50 days of bloodshed—The celebrations by thousands of Gaza Strip residents on Wednesday evening appeared genuine. The sense, at least to the outside observer (watching television), was that more than a few Gazans truly wanted to show their feeling that Hamas had been victorious in the 50-day conflict. Nobody was forced to go out into the streets to celebrate at gunpoint. Still, in the age of the Hamas dictatorship, in which dozens of people without any connection with Israel are summarily executed (said by Hamas to be “Zionist agents”), one doesn’t argue with the boss. When Hamas announces a victory celebration, the masses celebrate a victory.
Israel Today: Captured Hamas militants spill the beans on Gaza war crimes— During the summer’s Gaza war, hundreds of Hamas militants surrendered to or were otherwise captured by Israeli forces. In the course of interrogation, many of these prisoners were candid regarding the unlawful tactics of their leaders. A statement released by the Shin Bet, or Israel Security Agency (the local equivalent of the American FBI) noted that the investigation of these prisoners confirmed that “prominent use was made of mosques and hospitals [in Gaza] as meeting points and hideouts. Worse still was the digging of tunnels and launch sites, and the placing of arsenals, near kindergartens.”
SnyderTalk Comment: Confirmation of Hamas’ war crimes keeps pouring in. Will the world take notice? I doubt it, because it doesn’t fit with the narrative that the mainstream media and politicians want to sell.
IPT News: Mahmoud Abbas: Blame Hamas for Gaza Casualties— Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas may not be fond of Israel and its political leadership, but he’s clear-eyed about one thing: Hamas initiated and prolonged an unnecessary fight with Israel that directly led to Palestinian deaths. Abbas appeared on Palestine TV Friday, saying “it was possible for us to avoid all of that, 2,000 martyrs, 10,000 injured, 50,000 houses (damaged or destroyed).” This criticism comes on the heels of his statement that this week’s open-ended ceasefire was, in essence, the same Egyptian proposal Hamas rejected weeks ago, before Israel’s ground incursion into Gaza which sent casualties dramatically higher and cause massive damage.
Zalman Shoval: Middle Eastern chaos—The word “chaos” has never been more perfect — not only to describe events in the Middle East, but also the West’s policies, with the United States at the forefront, in this part of the world at this time. The latest development in this regard pertains to the air forces of Egypt and the United Arab Emirates bombing the international airport in Tripoli, Libya — without giving the U.S. prior notification — to prevent it falling into the hands of Islamists there. Libya is just another example of the problematic relationship between Washington and its traditional allies in our region. The strained relations stem from their anger at the Obama administration’s policies, beginning with what they perceive as the abandonment of former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak in favor of the Muslim Brotherhood, to Washington’s criticism of Saudi Arabia for intervening in Bahrain on behalf of the regime there, to their concern that the U.S. lacks the resolve to stymie Iran’s hegemonic and nuclear ambitions.
Dr. Ichak Adizes: Muslim Radical Atrocities: There is a Reason for the World’s Silence—The world’s hypocrisy hurts especially if you are Jewish and even more if you are Israeli. When Israel bombs Gaza and civilians are killed, there are international demonstrations and calls for the world to punish Israel for “a massacre” although, as Israel points out, civilian deaths are a collateral damage of any war, especially this one where Hamas uses civilian sites from which to fire missiles. While masses all over the world are furious with Israel, they are mostly silent on the fact, which no one denies, that Assad of Syria bombed and killed at least one hundred and ninety THOUSAND civilians, and sent more than a MILLION refugees spilling into neighboring countries. Have you heard of any, I mean ANY, even one large enough to fill a Volkswagen car, demonstration against Syria? Or against Qatar which is openly financing ISIS, the jihadist group that recently publicly beheaded a British journalist? Or a public cry raised against Hamas after it executed eighteen so-called Palestinian collaborators, in an open square, with no court, no investigation, and no trial—nothing? Where are the denunciations of ISIS for uprooting thousands of Yazidis? Or rallies protesting the acts of radical Muslims who have abducted girls from school and hold them hostage as sex slaves? Why the silence?
Daniel Pipes: Basting Turkey’s new prime minister—Recep Tayyip Erdogan just ascended to the presidency of Turkey and, his handpicked successor, Ahmet Davutoglu, simultaneously assumed his old job of prime minister. What do these changes portend for Turkey and its foreign policy? In two words: nothing good. In June 2005, when Davutoglu served as chief foreign policy adviser to Erdogan, I spoke with him for an hour in Ankara. Two topics from that conversation remain vivid. He asked me about the neoconservative movement in the United States, then at the height of its fame and supposed influence. I began by expressing doubts that I was a member of this elite group, as Davutoglu assumed, and went on to note that none of the key decision-makers in the George W. Bush administration (the president, vice president, secretaries of state and defense, or the national security adviser) was a neoconservative, a fact that made me skeptical of its vaunted power. Davutoglu responded with a subtle form of anti-Semitism, insisting that neoconservatives were far more powerful than I acknowledged because they worked together in a secret network based on religious ties. (He had the good grace not to mention which religion that might be.)
Burak Bekdil: Sorry to Remind You, but Golda Meir Was Right – Part IV of IV— Finally, Adolf Hitler is a Turkish hero! With the current pace of events, a boulevard in Ankara can be named after him. But the Turks’ newfound Holocaust-fetish is not a euphemism for one of the 20th century’s greatest crimes; nor is their love affair with the funny moustached little man because he did, after all, kill Hitler. The Fuhrer also once said something that might perfectly fit Turkey seven decades later: “I use emotion for the many and reserve reason for the few.” Turks love Hitler because they hate Jews (not Israelis or the Israeli government). Why, otherwise, would Turks be targeting, in every way possible, Turkish Jews — who are full Turkish citizens like themselves? Bulent Yildirim, for instance, one of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s favorite Islamists, said that, “Turkish Jews will pay dearly for Israel’s actions.”
SnyderTalk Comment: About 15 years ago, Turkey was a pleasant place, a beautiful place, and a hospitable place. My wife and I visited Turkey in the early 2000s thanks to a former student of mine who is Turkish.
We loved it. The people made us feel welcome and we never once felt a threat of danger. We strolled around the streets of Istanbul unmolested and enjoyed ancient sites that are everywhere.
They have a saying in Turkey: there are more Roman and Greek ruins in Turkey than there are in Italy and Greece. That’s not an exaggeration. Turkey is an amazing place.
The infant Christian church grew up in Turkey. In Revelation, the churches referred to are in Turkey. Paul was born in Tarsus. It’s in Turkey. Cleopatra of Egypt built a magnificent library in Alexandria. The only one that compared with it was in Ephesus. It’s in Turkey.
Modern Turkey started changing when Recep Tayyip Erdoğan became prime minister in 2003. He transformed Turkey into what amounts to an Islamist state. If Erdoğan could get away with it, Turkey would be an Islamist state. A few weeks ago, Erdoğan was elected President of Turkey.
In what seems like the blink of an eye, Erdoğan has virtually destroyed the legacy of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk—a truly great leader and a farsighted thinker. One day soon, Turkey may become the Islamist state that Erdoğan wants. If it does, Turkish people who are not Islamists (that’s most Turks) will suffer more than anyone else.
That’s the nature of Islamism. Under Islamist rule, Muslims who aren’t radical enough are regarded as being lower than infidels.
During our visit to Turkey, we were told many times by Turks that they were proud of their Jewish population and that Jewish people lived in safety and security. Not anymore.

SnyderTalk Comment: This is where Isaac passes on the promises and blessings that Yahweh made to Abraham to his son Jacob/Israel.
Remember that Isaac wanted to pass on the promises and blessings through Esau, but Yahweh would not allow it. Isaac’s wife, Rebekah, prevented him from making a tragic mistake.
You should also recall that Abraham wanted to pass on Yahweh’s promises and blessings through is son Ishmael, but Yahweh would not allow that either.
This is the point: Yahweh has intervened in history to make sure that the promises and blessings He made to Abraham would pass on by way of Abraham’s descendants through Isaac and Jacob/Israel.
Do you believe He would have done that if this were an insignificant matter? Do you believe that those promises and blessings are null and void today, or are they still in effect? Your answers to those questions should help you determine your positions on many important current issues.
