What is it About Climate Change?
Today, we call it “climate change”. We used to call it “global warming”, but by the mid-1990s, that narrative failed to deliver. None of the calamities that had been foretold for decades ever materialized. To avoid looking like complete idiots, the prophets of doom just changed the name of their boogeyman and carried on as though they had been right all along. They didn’t miss a beat.
The peculiar thing is that very few people seemed to notice or care. Politicians demonstrated their economy of thought and adopted the new name. They proudly proclaimed that anyone who rejected their new narrative and their new name was a “climate change denier”.
California Governor Jerry Brown was the unofficial spokesman for the group. He would stand in front of adoring fans and sling the slur “climate change denier” at anyone who questioned California’s obscene environmental policies and dared to blame the California government for the state’s self-induced environmental problems.
To this day, California politicians say that climate change is the cause of the wildfires that engulf California every year. Pacific Gas and Electric played a part in it, they say, but the problem couldn’t possibly be stupid government policies.
Jerry Brown earned his nickname: “Governor Moonbeam”. Governor Newsom’s nickname should be “Cry Baby” or “Governor Snowflake”. Either one works for me.
Dutifully, the mass media jumped on the train. They accused sensible people who rejected the wild assertions of environmental extremists of being “climate change deniers”. To bolster their position, they pointed to the “fact” that there is a consensus in the scientific community. The media said that climate change would wipe out a large percentage of earth’s population unless governments around the world taxed their citizens into oblivion and gave those resources to a global governing body with enforcement powers. That was the only way to solve the problem, or so they said.
Truth is that tens of thousands of real climate scientists rejected the pseudoscience that was presented as proof of a looming catastrophe. Politicians and their media lapdogs knew exactly how to handle them. They told us that all of them were climate change deniers. Again, few people noticed and even fewer cared.
A casual study of basic science and history shows that earth’s climate has been changing since creation and that warm periods have always been the most prosperous times for earth’s population. Evidence supporting those truths is readily available, but the pejorative “climate change denier” gained traction.
It will take a while for the masses to realize that it’s the same old con game and that we are being swindled again. Until enough people to make a difference accept the truth, we will be fed a steady diet of jargon in lieu of facts by cocktail party chatter “experts”, pseudo-intellectuals, scientists who are willing to say just about anything for money, and politicians who need to frighten enough voters to stay in office.
Everybody has heard someone say, “One day, I’m going to write a novel.” When I retired, I wrote one. The title is Stand! If you haven’t read it, now is the time. I chose climate change as my topic. Since I am a retired university professor, I used a university setting as the place where the evidence is discussed. I think it’s an exciting story, but you’ll have to read it to see for yourself.
If Joe Biden becomes president, he has said that John Kerry will be his “climate czar”. That should scare anyone into reading the book and familiarizing himself or herself with the facts. The funds that Biden plans to raise will come from hardworking Americans. It won’t cost the freeloaders among us a dime. Greta Thunberg is safe.
Humans didn’t cause climate change, and no amount of money can prevent it or materially alter it. Radicals are selling a dream. It’s a scam to enrich a few at the expense of many. At the same time, it will move the world one step closer to a global governing authority with taxing and police powers.
I say all of this knowing full well that most people won’t equip themselves to deal with reality until it hits them in the face or the pocketbook. That day isn’t far off, but it’s not tomorrow.
Regrettably, most people share Scarlett O’Hara’s philosophy: “Tomorrow is another day.” I think Mark Twain said it better: “Never do today what you can put off until tomorrow.” He was being funny, but as Geoffrey Chaucer said, “Many a true word is spoken in jest.”

There are more polar bears now than any time in the last fifty years. We are all gonna die, earth’s temp rises 0.05 degrees C every 25 years. Every 10 years the Left and that 12 year old climate expert say we are all gonna die in 12 years. The oceans levels haven’t risen and wiped out all of earth’s coastal regions. I’ve been doing my dam***est to help curb global warming by eating as many FARTING bovine as I possibly can 😋. Studies have shown that electric cars are more expensive to produce and maintain and become environmental nightmares when decommissioned than compared to internal combustion engines powered by fossil fuel. Where do these idiots get there electricity from, OH THAT’S RIGHT…. coal, nuclear or other fossil fuels. Solar cells are a joke (just ask #44 Bukakke Insane O’Vomit for the punch line). When wind turbines are decommissioned they don’t know what to do with them, they’re laying in huge piles waiting for a solution. Don’t get me wrong, man has polluted and poisoned and contaminated quite a bit, but climate change has been going on since GOD created earth, man’s a pig, but he’s not the cause of it. On top of all this B.S. we now have to endure a predator and a whore entering our W.H. . I have no idea what YAHWEH has in store for this decrepit nation….🙏
