Democrats Won’t Do the Right Thing Unless They Don’t Have a Choice

From the 1920s to the early-1930s, Prohibition opened the door for the mafia to grow into a global crime syndicate. Before Prohibition, mafia dons made their livings by selling things like “protection” to legitimate business owners.

The dons thought of “protection” as insurance. They sent their thugs to meet with business owners and tell them that they needed to pay for “protection”. The business owners had a choice. Either they paid, or mafia enforcers would shut them down by doing things like burning down their buildings, blowing up their vehicles, or destroying their inventories.

Decent people think of selling “protection” as a crime, but the dons didn’t see it that way. They saw “protection” as a product. To them, selling “protection” was just business.

Decent people think it’s a crime to blow up someone’s establishment, but that’s not how dons saw it. To them, blowing up a building was a form of communication. It was a way of telling business owners that they had better pay for “protection”. Violence was a business practice.

Dons and Democrats

Mafia business practices are examples of things that are taking place in Washington right now. Democrats are using the COVID-19 crisis to advance their political agenda. It’s business as usual.

For example, they are demanding that we pour billions of dollars into wind and solar tax credits as part of the COVID-19 relief package. Solar energy has nothing to do with the coronavirus. It’s part of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal. She and her homeboy knocked it out over a weekend and presented it to the media. Democrats got behind it. Bernie Sanders picked it up and made it a mainstay of his campaign.

The Green New Deal is laughable, but Democrats are holding the coronavirus relief package hostage until things like solar tax credits are made a part of the stimulus bill.

The suffering of American workers has just begun. When the coronavirus crisis ends, workers may not have jobs, because the businesses they worked for may have become insolvent thanks to the crisis. Democrats know that, and they know that the pressure is on to make a deal. To Democrats, now is the right time to push their agenda.

Normal people see hostage-taking as a crime. Like mafia dons, Democrats see it as the way to do business in Washington.

Switching Gears Ever So Slightly

See “Democratic senator says he broke with party on coronavirus bill because ‘the clock is ticking’”:

Sen. Doug Jones of Alabama said that he voted to advance Senate Republicans’ controversial coronavirus package — the lone Democrat to do so — to highlight that progress is being made on the bill and time to act is running out.

When asked by CNN’s Jake Tapper why he voted for the legislation Monday after voting against it on Sunday, Jones replied, “Because I think there’s been great progress.”

“That is exactly what the message has been from everybody on both sides — we’ve made progress,” Jones said. “That was the message that I wanted to get yesterday because quite frankly I think we’d had about a 24-hour period where there was no progress, where Sen. McConnell pulled his people off to write a bill.”

“But there has been significant progress in the last 24 hours,” he continued, adding, “I believe that we needed to really send a message to the American people and to both side of the aisle that the clock is ticking, that we need to get this done and we need to get it done now, and the best way to do that is to proceed.”

Democrat Senator Doug Jones is lying. He stands a good chance of losing his bid for re-election to the Senate if he continues to toe the Democrat Party line on the COVID-19 relief package. Decent people in Alabama will toss him out on his ear if he stays the course. If he was in a safe seat, he would not be breaking ranks with his Democrat comrades in the Senate no matter what.

Stated simply, Doug Jones is doing the right thing out of political necessity. He’s not doing the right thing because it’s the right thing to do.

Here’s the Problem

Democrats in Congress won’t do the right thing unless they don’t have a choice. Their thinking is warped. It’s perverted.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi often refers to seats in the House that a glass of water could win if it was a Democrat. She means that representatives from those districts can vote for anything Democrat leaders in Congress want without fear of losing their seats.

Pelosi’s goal and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s goal is to have more safe Democrat seats in Congress, so they can advance their depraved political agenda. That’s how we got things like abortion on demand without restraint, welfare dependency, paying the housing and health costs of illegal aliens, bridges to nowhere, and a host of other things that are morally reprehensible and things that cost U.S. taxpayers billions of dollars needlessly.

Democrats see the COVID-19 crisis as just another happening, and they see their political maneuvering as business as usual. Hurting the American people and imposing unnecessary costs on taxpayers are irrelevant to them.

Then Came Donald Trump

Democrats hate President Trump, because he didn’t “grow up in Washington”, meaning politics is not his professional career. He didn’t learn how to get things done the Washington way. He didn’t pay his dues by going along with things he finds shameful simply to advance politically.

Putting a fine point on it, Donald Trump is an outsider. He is President of the United States, but he’s regarded by Democrats as a usurper, someone who took something that is rightfully theirs.

Democrats say that President Trump is a threat to the nation and the world, but that’s not what they really mean. They really mean that the president is a threat to their political survival and their political agenda.

Higher-ups in the Democrat Party knew what was coming the day Donald Trump won the 2016 presidential election. He’s not one of them, a Washington insider, and he would change the status quo:

That’s why Democrats announced that the impeachment process had begun less than 20 minutes after the president was inaugurated.
That’s why Democrats took advantage of a weak Washington insider Republican attorney general (Jeff Sessions) to launch the Russia collusion investigation. They committed crimes in the process. Those crimes are being investigated now. We should hear a lot more about that investigation before the election in November.
That’s why Democrats fabricated evidence to hold impeachment hearings in the House. The whistleblower episode was engineered. There never was any evidence of wrongdoing.
That’s why Democrats Adam Schiff and Jerry Nadler used their positions as chairs of the House Intelligence Committee and the House Judiciary Committee, respectively, to portray the president as a criminal and as a threat to the nation and the world.
That’s why Democrats forced the Senate to hold an impeachment trial. The House impeachment managers didn’t present any evidence of high crimes and misdemeanors. The impeachment trial was simply an opportunity for Democrats to present their narrative to the American people, and the media played along with them. Only 7 percent of reporters and news executives identify as Republicans. Journalists like to tell us that they are unbiased arbiters, that they are above the fray, but they support Democrats and they vote for Democrats. Do the math.
That’s why Democrats are accusing President Trump of mishandling the coronavirus epidemic. At first, they called him a racist for shutting down flights into the U.S. from China. That action saved countless lives. Once it was clear that we really do have a problem on our hands, Democrats started accusing the president of everything under the sun hoping that something will stick.

Democrats Have Lost Every Time

Democrats have lost every time, but they keep trying. They are desperate, because they know that their nominee for the presidency in 2020 doesn’t stand a chance against President Trump.

Even though Democrats have thrown everything at the president except the kitchen sink and they have obstructed every move he has made, Donald Trump has accomplished more in less than 4 years than his two predecessors (Barack Obama and George W. Bush) combined accomplished in 16 years. The president’s record is spectacular.

Whoever the Democrat nominee is will have only promises. Promises won’t win against a stunning record. Democrats know that.

The top 2 Democrat contenders for the Democrat nomination, Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden, have serious problem. Sanders is a communist. Nobody likes him, not even Democrats, and the American people are not about to elect a communist to run the country. Biden is a senile old man who has serious ethical problems. Thus far, Democrats have successfully shielded Biden from scrutiny, but they know they can’t protect him in a general election. He will be toast.

Coronavirus is the Democrats’ Last Hurrah

Democrats see coronavirus as their last chance. If they fail this time, the game is over. Decent Americans are beginning to see through Democrat shenanigans. Thankfully, they are the majority. The nation is about to hold Democrats accountable.

Democrats have nothing to lose by holding the COVID-19 relief package hostage. They are dealing from the bottom of the deck one last time, because they know that by 2024 the rules of the game in Washington will have been changed for good.

Today’s Democrat higher-ups are on their way out, and they know it. Even more, they know that President Trump is responsible for their predicament. That’s great news for the American people, but it’s terrible news for the Democrat Party.
