We Need Donald Trump a Lot More than He Needs Us
See “The truly frightening thing about Nikki Haley’s big revelation”. Nothing that I read of see from the people at CNN surprises me anymore. They are so far out in left field that they can’t see home plate. Problem is home plate is where runs are scored.
What General Kelly and Mr. Tillerson did is unimaginable to me. They should have known better.
Donald Trump is an entrepreneur. He’s not a foot-soldier in the Marines waiting for orders to move ahead. He’s not a functionary in the bowels of a gigantic organization hoping to be noticed by the powers-that-be.
I taught entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs at the University of Virginia. They are a different breed of cat. They are very much like General George Patton. Ike thought Patton was a loose cannon and sidelined him for a while, but the U.S. couldn’t have won World War II without him. Ike pressed Patton back into service, because he was just what we needed.
Nikki Haley was right. If Kelly and Tillerson had problems with President Trump’s decisions, they should have told him. If the president chose a course that they didn’t like and they felt strongly enough about it, they should have resigned. Instead, they recruited Haley to join them in a treacherous scheme. She wisely refused their invitation.
Haley was Governor of South Carolina. I live in South Carolina. Haley was elected governor while I lived here. Her path to the Governor’s Mansion was not an easy one. The good ole boys in the South Carolina GOP did everything you can imagine to sabotage her chances of winning, and they made life hard on her while she was in office. She fought the same people in South Carolina that President Trump is fighting in Washington. She succeeded marvelously. So is President Trump.
President Trump’s political enemies to the man and woman aren’t qualified to carry his briefcase. As a nation, we don’t need them. They and people like them are responsible for our nation’s problems.
Despite everything the president’s political enemies have done to prevent him for accomplishing anything, he has succeeded beyond my wildest expectations. The people who stand to lose the most from President Trump’s continued success are Democrats and establishment Republicans who are better talkers than doers. They like to play games. That’s not President Trump’s style.
President Trump has not committed an impeachable offense. Far from it. He has exposed corruption. Joe Biden and his son Hunter are corrupt. That’s not President Trump’s fault. The fact that Joe Biden wants to be president does not insulate him from scrutiny.
As Joe likes to say, “No one is above the law.” That includes Joe and Hunter Biden, Bill and Hillary Clinton, and many others who stand to lose if President Trump keeps doing the job we elected him to do.
They are the swamp. They are why draining the swamp isn’t easy.
At this moment, the U.S. needs Donald Trump. We are blessed to have him. He is doing things that other presidents should have done a long time ago, but they didn’t have the courage. That’s why we need him. Yahweh didn’t put Donald Trump in office to go-along-and-get-along.
We need Donald Trump a lot more than he need us. You can rest assured of that.
